CERTAIN REPAIR TO ROOF TREATMENT IN DOMESTIC AND TECHNICAL AREA AND CERTAIN B/R REPAIR TO FIRING RANGE AND ALLIED INFRA AT AF STATION CHANDIGARH UNDER GE (AF) CHANDIGARH.

Note :The unit rate quoted by the tenderer under Col No (13) of Sch `A’ (BOQ) unless specifically mentioned otherwise such as labour only/fixing only, for all items of works shall be deemed to be including cost of all materials, labour, tools and plants, testing and commissioning of work in position complete as required for entire completion of work.

Material and labour, cleaning the new or old pastered or concrete surfaces and water proofing treatment of roof horizontal surfaces consisting as under:- (i) Remove existing water proofing treatment. Picking, sweeping clean and washing down with water to remove dust. While doing the treatment on existing roof, concrete should be thoroughly inspected for any significant distress. Such distress, if any repaired/rehabilitated and treated.Existing Pipes over roof should be realigned as directed by the Engineer-in -Charge. (ii) Providing and laying/fixing TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) waterproofing membrane (min 1.2mm thickness) on prepared surface of roof & up to 300 mm of parapets and crumple joint including junction of roof and parapet. Method: TPO membrane is mechanically anchored in the roof deck using fasteners and washers, which are then overlapped with TPO membrane and heat welded. The overlap completely encapsulates the fastener, which is not exposed to any external weathering – ensuring no water, heat seeps into the insulated panel. The roof edges of the building are covered with TPO edge trims, mechanically anchored and heat welded with TPO on top – thus completely encapsulating the system, preventing any wind from blowing beneath the TPO or roof. Review attached methodology to understand the system. Contd item No 1 above/---- Notes : The work for Roof treatment shall include the following and the rates quoted by the bidders shall include the same :- (a) The work pertaining to Roof treatment shall be executed by the contractor as per MoU from authorised applicator through manufacturer of the materials after approval by the GE . (b) The Contractor shall upload copy of "Memoradum of Understanding" (MOU) with at least one of the manufacturers mentioned in the contract with the documents to be uploaded under cover I and also sumit ink Signed copy to GE(AF) Chandigarh . If MOU not uploaded by any bidder than his bid shall be laible to be rejected. (c) The work shall be carried out completely as per manufacturer’s specifications and application methodology. Execution to be done with authorized trained/skilled applicator of manufacturer as per the technical guide lines laid by manufacturer. (d) Sample patch of 10Sqm be prepared considering all the items of Roof treatment and shall be got approved from GE prior to carrying out further work. (e) The defect liability period of water proofing treatment to RCC roof slab including sunken floors shall be 10 years and the contractor shall be responsible to keep the entire building(s) free from leakage/seepage for a period of 10 years after certified date of completion. The contractor shall obtain similar guarantee from the specialist firm engaged by him for the purpose to be given by after completion of Water Proofing work before payment . (f) An amount equal to 5.0% worked out on the cost of waterproofing treatment at contract rates towards guarantee shall be retained from the Final Bill as specified in P. S, Cluase no11.3 of CA.

Plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates as in roof padding to maintain the required slope or to prepare gola etc icluding weathering slightly ropunded or chamfered angles and throating as directed including necessary form work in and including demolition of (un-reinforced) cement concrete of any description or as roof padding and coveringg concrete in any position not otherwise specifically provided for and remove all the debris out of MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Steel water tubing, 15 mm bore medium grade ISI Marked, galvanized with all fittings and fixed complete to walls, ceiling or laid in floors,cutting existing steel tubing & screwing, if required for alterations and additions in and including taking up or down existing unservicable tubing and connections, cleaning for re fixing or removal to store, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Fittings & specials as required shall be provided by the contractor. Contractor's rate shall be deemed to include the cost of fittings provided.

Steel water tubing, 20 mm bore medium grade ISI Marked , galvanized with all fittings and fixed complete to walls, ceiling or laid in floors ,cutting existing steel tubing & screwing, if required for alterations and additions in and including taking up or down existing unservicable tubing and connections, cleaning for re fixing or removal to store, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Fittings & specials as required shall be provided by the contractor. Contractor's rate shall be deemed to include the cost of fittings provided.

Rotational moulded PVC, tripple layered, water storage tanks of capacity 500 litre (cylindrical vertical with closed top), ISI Marked, hoisted and fixed in position, with & including all fittings such as GI tank nipple etc. including balll valve high pressure of PTMT with epoxy coated aluminium door and high density plastic ball screwed for 20mm dia iron pipe and fixed (minimum wieght 15mm 142gms in and including dismantling PVC water tanks exc 250 ltr but n. exc 500 ltr capacity by disconnecting existing water connection and removal from site ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge.

Rotational moulded PVC, tripple layered, water storage tanks of capacity 1000 litre (cylindrical vertical with closed top), ISI Marked, hoisted and fixed in position, with & including all fittings such as GI tank nipple etc. including balll valve high pressure of PTMT with epoxy coated aluminium door and high density plastic ball screwed for 20mm dia iron pipe and fixed (minimum wieght 20mm 210gms in and including dismantling PVC water tanks exc 500 ltr but n. exc 1000 ltr capacity by disconnecting existing water connection and removal from site ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge.

Disconnecting existing tanks of capacity exceeding 250ltrs but n. exceeding 500ltrs, draining out of water, setting a side( or lowering if required) for repair/cleaning and removing accumulated sluge/dirt scales from tank bottom, side and from mouths of circulating pipes of service tanks located on roof of building and disinfecting the tank using bleaching powder to make the tank bacteria free, writing by stencil date of cleaning of tank with white synthetic enemel paint on black ground "Cleaned on (date)" height of words100mm, and hoisting if required, refixing and reconnecting in position after cleaning ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge.

Disconnecting existing tanks of capacity exceeding 501ltrs but n. exceeding 1000ltrs, draining out of water, setting a side( or lowering if required) for repair/cleaning and removing accumulated sluge/dirt scales from tank bottom, side and from mouths of circulating pipes of service tanks located on roof of building and disinfecting the tank using bleaching powder to make the tank bacteria free, writing by stencil date of cleaning of tank with white synthetic enemel paint on black ground "Cleaned on (date)" height of words100mm, and hoisting if required, refixing and reconnecting in position after cleaning and removal of rubbbish outside MOD land,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge.

PVC (SWR) pipes 110 mm bore single socketed in any length with ruber rings joints fixed to walls with necessary brackets and making good the mouth of rain water pipe in and including taking down old eaves and gutters and rainwater pipe ( any size and pattern) ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge.

PVC (SWR) bends any radius 110mm bore fixed with solvent cement in any position as per site requirement fixed as in repair, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down existing mixed sand from firing range wall upto 7.00 metre height, stacking, sieving the mixed sand to remove dust and metal particles of size 6mm thick ,to make the sand fit for reuse and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removal of residual materials obtained from mixed sand to a distance exceeding 50 metre but n. exc. 100 metre and deposited where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metrer above the starting point , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Refilling sieved sand in sloped portion of firing range wall upto 7.00 metre height (maximum), spreading and leveling in layers n. exc. 25cm thick, well ramming and consolidation, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Sand as approval by Engineer-in-Charge obtain from sieving under Ser item No. 11.00 above shall be used for filling.

Supply only saw dust , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Restraining and resecuring including making good only barbed wire including making good staples etc. galvanized 2 strand, steel barbed wire 2.24 mm dia, barbed with 2mm dia barbs at 75mm spacings, and straining and fixing to any type of standard rails, straining bolts, including securing or tying at crossings with and provision of galvanized mild steel wire staples, or steel pins etc, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:Each line of wire to be measured

Galvanized 2 strand, steel barbed wire 2.24 mm dia, barbed with 2mm dia barbs at 75mm spacings, and straining and fixing to any type of standard rails, straining bolts, including securing or tying at crossings with and provision of galvanized mild steel wire staples, or steel pins etc in and including taking down old unserviceable existing barbed wire. , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:Each line of wire to be measured

Preparation of old painted steel surfaces of any description , not otherwise described over 10 cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamells paint ,complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Brick work with sub-class `B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius built in cement sand mortar 1:6 complete in and including demolition of brickwork or stone boulder masonary built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc for the area where unservicable bricks retrived and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Servicable bricks retrived from demolition this item shall be used after proper cleaning and washing of old bricks under item No 21 below.

Brick work with sub-class `B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius (except bricks) built in cement sand mortar 1:6 complete in and including demolition of brickwork or stone boulder masonary built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc for area where servicable bricks retrived and removal of rubbish outside MoD land ,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer -in-Charge. Note: Servicable bricks retrived from demolition of item No.20 and this item shall be used in this item after proper cleaning and washing of old bricks.

Preparation of newly plastered surfaces of brick/ stone/ plastered/concrete/Kerb stone and applying two or more coats of 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/ litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489: 2004, alkali & fungal resistant, dirt resistant exterior paint of required shade with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/ 10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/ 10 sqm over new surfaces in camouflage pattern , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i) Number of coats and pattern of camouflage shall be approved by GE. (ii) All safety measures for the safety of workers shall be ensured by contractor before execution of work. Insurance of workers shall be got done by contractor before execution of the work and the cost for the same shall be deemed to be included in rate quoted by contractor.

Complete removal of existing treatment of old surfaces of brick/ stone/ plastered/concrete/Kerb stone surface and applying two or more coats of 100% premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/ litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489: 2004, alkali & fungal resistant, dirt resistant exterior paint of required shade in camouflage pattern as approved by GE with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/ 10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/ 10 sqm over old surfaces , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i) Number of coats and pattern of camouflage shall be approved by GE. (ii) All safety measures for the safety of workers shall be ensured by contractor before execution of work. Insurance of workers shall be got done by contractor before execution of the work and the cost for the same shall be deemed to be included in rate quoted by contractor.

Plain cement concrete ,25 mm thick (1:2:4) type B-0, using 12.5 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates as in sub base finished even & rough to receive the bedding mortar in and including demolition of unreinforced cement concrete in ground floors and paving n.exc 15cm thickness (below or above ground level) and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

First quality, Non skid ceramic coloured tiles, 7 to 8 mm thick (square/ rectangular) area of each tile exceeding 0.11 Sq.m but not exceeding 0.18 Sq.m, laid in floors with neat cement slurry @ 3.00 kg/Square Metre over and including 15 mm thick screed bed of cement mortar (1:6) including pointing in white or coloured cement to match the shade of tiles in and including dismantling floor, hearth or wall tiling including cement mortar bedding (but not backing) and removal of rubbish outside MoD land ,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer -in-Charge. Notes :- (i) Design, pattern and colour of tiles will be as approved by GE. (ii) Tile work to be executed in any position or in any patches or as per site requirement.

Preperation of old surfaces of walls including brooming down or steel wire brushing scrapping down smoke soot, moulds, moss and efflorescent salts and trading oil and greasy spots etc; rubbing down and stopping of surfaces using sand paper and applying two coats of cement base paint , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Sheet glass 3 mm thick, ordinary quality and glazing with oil putty or wooden bead in squares not exceeding 0.5 Sq. m in each pane including fixing with glass pins to hold glass in position in and including Hacking out old broken glass panes of any thickness, size ,quality or description from wooden frames , glazed with putty or fixed with beads ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge. Note:- No extra payment for replacment of damaged wooden beads required for glazing glass in wooden window.

Bib taps,15 mm bore fancy type cast copper alloy Chromium plated with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed down, screwed for iron pipe or for brass ferrule and fixed as in repair, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Bib cock long body with flange,15 mm bore fancy type cast copper alloy Chromium plated with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed down, screwed for iron pipe or for brass ferrule and fixed as in repair, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Bib tap standard of PTMT of 15 mm Bore dia of pipe in any colour long body high pressure screwed for iron pipe or GI/Kitec fiiting (minimum weight 15 mm- 120 gms) fixed as in repair , complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in -Charge.

Vitreous China squating pan, 'Orissa' pattern, size 580x440mm white, with integral foot rests, including 100mm cast iron 'P' or 'S' trap and 100mm cast iron sanitary connection socket to fit WC outlet including connection to trap, to flushing pipe, anti-syphonage pipe etc. complete including making good to floor fixed as in repair , complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in -Charge. Note :- Qty and Rates are inclusive of for both P type and S type Traps as on actual required basis on ground

Vitreous china urinal, half stall type, (back or corner wall type), white, complete including providing and fixing plugs, bedding urinal against wall in cement mortar [1:2], securing urinal to plugs with and including 60mm long brass screws, pointing around urinal back in cement, fixing automatic flushing cistern with brackets, flush pipe, grating and Union for discharge pipe. PVC waste pipe flexible for Sink/ WHB of 32mm size fixed as in repair , complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in -Charge.

CP grating 75/100 mm dia/hinged circular of approved make and fixing with cement mortar 1:3 as in repair with/without holes as required fixed as in repair,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge.

Roof trusses (framed), trussed, purlins, crane gantries, rails and fastenings and heavy bracket framing (Beam, tee, angle, channel or flat sections) including distance pieces, cleats etc ( Fe-410,Gde-E-250) in and including dismantling of framed trusse, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Pre-colour coated high tensile strength galvalume corrugated sheet roofing with yield strength (550 MPA) prepainted with aluminium (55%) and zinc (45%) alloy coating applied through continous hot dip process having total coated thickness (TCT) of 0.50mm as in roof covering/cladding to wall, fixed with self tapping screws as specified, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Demolition of old PCC tiles/brick tiles including cement mortar bedding and removal of rubbish outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
