Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion,damage to hill side.Water pollution, etc and to protect soil stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging our rock (where blasting is prohibited).All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to line,grades,slops,width,camber,super elevation and level as shown on the drawing as per direction of Engineer in Charge in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for rural roads august 2004 clause 16.2 of general conditions of contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and stage, disposal of unsuitable cut material in specificied manner, trimmingfilling of unevenness blindage and finishing of the road to specified diamensions or as directed by Engineer in charge for smooth riding.The recovery of useful stones shall be made from the contractor and recovery of 1465.36 cubic meter useful stones shall be made @ 170/-per cubic meter on prorata basis in each running bill. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be resorted by the contractor what so ever the nature of the same may be.The servicable material will be stacked out specified /dimension in all leads and lifts as per the direction of Engineer in Charge.

Earthwork in excavation for structures as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto a any lead and lift , dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling in trenches with excavated suitable material.useful material available from excavation to be properly stacked and handed over to the department free of cost including all leads and lifts, as per HPPWD, specification of 1990 volume-I or as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge

Providing and Laying concrete concrete 1:6:12 (1cement: 6 sand: 12 graded stone aggregate 40mm nominal size)for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802, 803, 1202 and 1203 including all leads and lifts, as per HPPWD, specification of 1990 volume-I or as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge

Providing and Laying concrete concrete 1:4:8 (1cement: 4 sand: 8 graded stone aggregate 40mm nominal size) in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802, 803, 1202 and 1203 including all leads and lifts, as per HPPWD, specification of 1990 volume-I or as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge

Random rubble masonrystone masonry(un-coursed/brought to courses)with hard stone ofapproved quality in foundation in cement mortar 1:6(1cement:6sand) complete as per drawing and technical specifications Clauses 702, 704, 1202 & 1203.including all leads and lifts, or as per HPPWD,. Specification of 1990 Volume-I, asdirected by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Construction of dry rubble masonary for retaining walls, breast walls,revetment walls and parapets etc. for sub-structure and super structure complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 704.6 & 1302.5 including all leads and lifts, as per HPPWD, specification of 1990 volume-I as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge

Backfilling with Granular material behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as per drawings & technical specification Clause 1204.3.8 including all leads and lifts, as per HPPWD, specification of 1990 volume-I or as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4mm (four mili meter) dia G I wire conferming to I S 280 and I S 4826 in 100mm x 100mm mesh voven diagonaly i/c 10% (ten percent) extra for laps and joints laid with stones boulder weighing not less than 25kg each as per drawing and technical specification clause 1301. including carriage of material with in all leads and lifts as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.

Preparation of sub grade by dressing to combor (Earth work for the cutting involved for sub-grade to be paid for separately depending upon the classification of soil completed as per HP.PWD specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Consolidation of sub grade with road roller including making good the undulation etc. with earth or quarry soil etc. and rerolling the sub-grade completed as per HP.PWD specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Stone soling properly hand-packed filling interstices with Kharanja stone and consolidating with power road roller to the requested gradient and comber including spreading watering and rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per HP.PWD specification. 150 mm spread thickness (finished work including materials and labour) including all leads and lifts, as per HPPWD, specification of 1990 Volume-I, as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.
