REPAIR/MAINT OF STATIC WATER TANKS AND ALLIED WORKS AT AF STN SIRSA

Demolition Cement Concrete (un-reinforced) of any description in Ground Floors, Pavings, etc. of any thickness (above or below Ground Level) and removing debris, etc. to Outside MD/AF Land, complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling wrought iron or mild steel work of any description and removing the same from site, complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of Brick work built in Cement Mortar and in any Position including all Quoins, Arches and Pillars, etc. Incl removal of debris from site complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down Cement Plaster including raking out Joints, hacking for Key, scrubbing down with Water and removing Debris, etc. to Outside AF Land, complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling and taking down the entire MS framed jali covering from top of SWTs of any capacity, keeping in safe custody and re-fixing the same after repairs of SWT including all T&P and any welding work required for satisfactory completion of the job, complete as specified and directed NOTES: (1) PCC for fixing of MS work shall be measured and paid separately. (2) Any damage to the MS works shall be made good by the contractor without any extra cost. Decision of GE shall be final and binding.

M&L for steel work in tubular trusses including special shaped washer etc complete using ERW or induction butt welded tubes conforming to IS 1161-1979 grade St-240 or RHS/SHS Sections conforming to IS 4923:1997 grade YST 210 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Mild steel framed works such as grills, gratings etc. with ends of bars shouldered and/or riveted or forged into spikes, framed guard bars, barred iron doors, ladders, framed balusters, walkways, railings, framework of water tanks and similar works conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Rolled mild steel framed work, Fe-410W(Gde-E-250) quality-B as in doors or gates of angle or other section with gusset plates, rails, braces etc complete drilled for fixing of steel sheeting or other covering. Doors, etc to be prepared for hanging or sliding with and including either hooks and hinges or steel hanging door fittings (exclusive of steel sheeting or other covering), running rails and guides) and hanging; also fastening and fixing complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for mild steel plain black sheet, as used in wall cladding, steel gates and similar works, of thickness as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, cut to size, with holes punched and fixed to steel framing using round-headed screws, clout nails or rivets, including necessary lap joints with riveted or welded seams, including bending, turning up and mitred angles as required, complete all as specified and directed. NOTES: (1) Measurement shall be based on the actual weight of the steel sheet in kilograms (Kg). (2) The steel framing / supporting structure shall be measured and paid for separately and shall not be included in the rate of this item

S&F welded steel wire fabric of mild steel wires, weighing not exceeding 4 kg/m², conforming to IS:4948-2002 and IS:280, with anti-corrosive treatment as specified, supplied and fixed to wood or MS members, complete, as specified and directed.

M&L preparing new or previously untreated Steel and Iron Surfaces for roof truss, grills etc, of any description, over 10 Cm width or girth and applying Two Coats of Synthetic Enamel Paint (First quality) over a Red Oxide Primer incl scaffolding, safety gears etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of old painted steel surfaces of any description not otherwise described, over 10 cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint as in danger board, fencing posts, struts, pipes, gates etc as per the approved colour and shade complete all specified and directed

M&L for leakage rectification and waterproofing treatment of inner walls and floors of Static Water Tanks (SWTs), comprising the following mandatory stages: (i) Removal of defective internal plaster, (ii) Crack / substrate repair, (iii) Surface preparation and application of polymer bonding coat, (iv) Correction plaster, (v) Application of elastomeric cementitious waterproofing coating, (vi) Protection plaster, and (vii) Leakage testing. NOTES:- (1) All above stages are compulsory, shall be executed strictly in the prescribed sequence, and the detailed scope, specifications, and method of execution shall be as per Annexure-A (Technical Specification & Method Statement for Leakage Rectification and Waterproofing of SWT), which forms an integral part of the contract. (2) The work shall be executed strictly in chronological sequence. No stage shall be omitted, altered, bypassed, or measured independently. (3) Application of the waterproofing system shall be carried out only by the OEM or their authorized OEM-certified applicators, duly approved in writing by the Engineer-in-Charge prior to commencement of work. (4) A sum equivalent to 2.5% of the total contract value shall be retained as a security deposit, to be released after 10 years from the date of completion. Alternatively, the contractor may deposit an FDR of equivalent amount in favour of GE. Any defects noticed during the guarantee period shall be rectified by the contractor at their own cost, failing which the amount shall be recovered from the retained sum / FDR. (5) Measurement shall be recorded in square metres (Sqm) of the finished internal surface area of walls and floor of the SWT, after full and proper completion of all prescribed stages and approval by the Engineer-in-Charge. No payment shall be made for partially completed or intermediate stages. contd....

NOTES TO ITEM NO 15 (Contd....):- (6) Payment shall be made only after satisfactory completion of all stages and approval by the Engineer-in-Charge. No part payment shall be admissible for incomplete works. (7) Rates quoted shall be deemed inclusive of removal of defective plaster, crack repairs, surface preparation, materials, chemicals, curing, scaffolding, safety measures, tools and tackles, debris disposal, testing, and all incidental works required to complete the treatment. (8) The treated static water tank shall be rendered leak-proof and fit for use. Any leakage, seepage, or failure observed during the guarantee period shall be rectified by the contractor at no additional cost to the Department.

M&L for Cleaning the existing sub-base of PCC path, hardstanding etc by removing all loose concrete, laitance, and dust, watering and leveling the surface, and manually compacting using hand tampers or manual plate compactor to provide a firm and even base for PCC, complete as specified and directed

M&L for providing and laying 150 mm thick plain cement concrete (PCC), M20 grade (Nominal Mix), for paths, hardstanding, etc., mixed manually in a mechanically operated concrete mixer, spread and compacted using a hand-held concrete vibrator, with edges secured by provision of formwork, finished to a dense and level surface ensuring uniform thickness and proper workability with strict quality control to achieve the desired strength and durability, including curing for a minimum of 7 days and including all necessary T&P and formwork, complete as specified and directed.

Supply only polyester triangular/Non circular synthetic fibre complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for finishing surface of concrete pavements / roads by brooming, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Brick Work with Fly-Ash Bricks (Old Size Bricks), Straight or Curved on Plan exc. 6.0 Metre mean Radius, built in Cement Mortar 1:4, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Brick work using Serviceable Bricks obtained from Item No. 04 here-in-before including removing old Mortar, Straight or Curved on Plan exc. 6.0 Metre mean Radius, built in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 15 mm thick plastering in two layers, 10 mm + 5 mm in cement mortar 1:4, top layer of 5 mm thickness mixed with with water proofing compound (as per manufacturer's instructions) on external surfaces of brick/stone walls or concrete surfaces finished even and fair upto 4 storey height including necessary scaffloding complete all as specified and directed. Note : WPC shall be measured & paid seperately as "Supply only".

Supply only Liquid Water Proofing Compound, as approved, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of newly plastered surfaces and finished with two coats of exterior acrylic emulsion paint (having anti-dust & anti-algae properties) duly mixed with stainer to achieve approved Tint/shade over a coat of suitable exterior primer, applied to new wall surfaces of any description, over 10cm width or girth not otherwise described, as per manufacturer's instructions, up to 4 storey height incl necessary scaffolding safety gear etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L cement concrete 1:2:4 of type B1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Cement concrete, 100 mm thick, type D- 2, 1:4:8 (40mm graded aggregate) in sub floors, sub bases, pavings etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and laying machine pressed precast concrete interlocking paver block with grey cement and pigment of any shape and size as approved by GE conforming to IS 15658-2006 of 80 mm thickness, M-40 grade complete all as specified and directed. (NOTE: Sand for cushioning level will be measured and paid seperately)

M&L for sand cushioning with clean river sand duly clear of residual, organic and deleterious materials spread evenly to uniform thickness over PCC Sub Base complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Cement Concrete 1:2:4 type B0 (12.5mm graded stone aggregate) as in Coping, Bed Plates, Holdfast, Bed Block, Kerb Stones including necessary Formwork and weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating, complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F protective debris net to cover open static water tanks at any height, made of co-polymer nylon monofilament, UV stabilized, mesh size 20 mm × 20 mm, filament thickness 0.80 mm, thread diameter ≥1.25 mm, melting point 260°C, tensile strength 23.08 kg, fixed strictly as per manufacturer’s instructions. The work includes dismantling and removing old/deteriorated net, making good any disturbed surfaces, and providing the net in circular shape with a heavy reinforced nylon border. The edges of the net shall be tightened using nylon rope (cost included) to ensure secure and complete coverage of the tank, complete as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in repairs Steel Water Tubing, 25mm bore, Galvanised, ‘Medium Grade’ with all Fittings, fixed on Walls, Ceiling or laid in Floors or any other Situation, complete as all specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs Steel Water Tubing, 50mm bore, Galvanised, ‘Medium Grade’ with all Fittings, fixed on Walls, Ceiling or laid in Floors or any other Situation, complete as all specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs Gun metal gate valve, 25mm bore, as per IS : 778-84 Class-1 Pressure tested 2.4 Mpa with iron wheel head, screwed both ends complete as all specified and directed.
