Providing and Laying of Rising Main :-
Excavation in foundation and trenches etc.(in pipes and pits) in all kinds of soils such as pick work, jumper work, blasting in soft / hard rock, chiselling/wedging out of rock/where blasting prohibited) saturated soil stacking the excavated earth within all leads and lifts clear from the edge of excavation and then returning the stacked soil in 15cm layers when required into plinth sides of foundation etc. consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated earth as directed by the Engineer –in-charge.
Providing, laying, jointing and testing in trenches of galvanized MSERW flanged pipes excluding cost of flanged bends of all degrees conforming to IS/ISO 3183-2007 Grade L210 or A as per dimensions weight and test pressure mentioned below in a random length of 4m - 6m, The M.S. flanges are to be provided 10% of total joints as per table below conforming to IS: 6392-1971 (latest upto date amendments) and welding of flanges with pipes as per IS: 816-1965 with a electrode as per IS: 814-1967 including required Nos. and size of M.S. nut and bolts as per IS: 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fiber jointing gaskets sheet not less than 3mm thick sas per IS: 2712-1965 & 95% butt welded joints by considering minimum three layers. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers on outer face + one layer on inner face to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The laying of pipes should be conformed to IS: 5822-1994 (earth work in trenches, MS flanges and butt welded joint to be measured and paid for seprately) . Providing and welding M.S. flanges @ 5% of joints, conforming to following tables as per IS 6392-1971 (Latest with upto date amendments) with plain end GMS/MSERW pipe in requsite number of layers on both faces to make the joint leak proof (The cost of providing and laying of MSERW pipes to be measured & paid for seprately). The welding of flanges should conform to IS:816-1969 with electrodes as per IS: 814-1991 and required number of nuts and bolts conforming to IS 1364. including cost of gasket sheet nuts & bolts. Operation and maintenance of Scheme from source to main/sector storage tank/gravity main, distribution mains etc. and to keep all structure/machinery/ facility to proper working O&M includes the the regular i.e daily supplying of designed /required quantity of potable water having water quality as per of water supply to the benefiaries of the scheme up to main storage / delivery tank from above mentioned source to main / sector storage tanks at different location as per plan and repair and maintenance of main lines , gravity lines and entire distribution mains of scheme, regular maintenance of all the facilities i/c cleaning, washing oil and greasing repair, replacement of wornout/ damaged parts of pumping machinery, pipe lines valves and and electrical mechanical requirements regular cleaning of all structure like collection tank, storage tank, pump house etc.and disposal of same as per the direction of Engineer- in- Charge. Fixing/ repairing/ leakage in civil structure pipe line , pumping machinery etc. proper distribution of treated water and regular testing of water samples .Maintaining log book of running of pumping machinery register for sample reports and consumption of chemicals. keeping regular and proper record of water quantity and quality , repair and maintenance work chemical dosing and time and and hours of run of pumping machinery, removed of all kind of slips , slush, up -rooting of unwanted grass, shrub, weeds etc.growing near the structure and keeping the area neat and clean to the entire satisfaction of engineer- in -charge.. Planting and maintenance plant of flowers/ trees around the pump house storage tank etc. as per the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in Charge i/c the cost of procurement of adequate and and proper tools and plants , skilled and unskilled manpower, spare parts, oil/grease/lubricants, chemicals for water treatment and all kinds of regents required for water sample testing and making stand by arrangement all times, istrument,equipments,stationery and any other material etc. required for O&M excluding the cost of energy charges. all the operation shall be carried out asper the CPHEEO mannual of the water supply and treatment( latest addition) HP PWD/JSVspecification HP & JSV norms direction issued by the Engineer-in -Charge from time to time and sound Engineering practice. The O&M part will commence from date of completion of successful trial &test run 3 month period after physical completion of all components
