1. Tenderers are advised to visit the site of work with prior permission of Engineer-in-charge/authorised representative, to acquaint themselves with the nature and location of work before quoting tender.
2. Since the work is to be carried out in residential buildings which are occupied by officials of Department , the work has to be carried out with least disturbance to the residents.
3. Contractor shall take contractor’s all risk insurance policy in respect of entire scope of work for entire period of contract and submit copy of the same before commencement of the work. "If there is a gap in CAR insurance policy period a panalty of 1.5 times of the premium amount of original policy value shall be recovered , proportionately for the gap period."
4. No debris shall be left over during the repair works under each item on any day. An area for 'Debris bins' will be identified on the request of contractor for collection of debris generated on day to day basis. The debris from debris bin shall be cleared every week at site and disposed at a location in Anushaktinagar as identified by EIC. The contractor must maintain adequate number of wheel barrows all the time for shifting the debris to Debris bin. Penal recovery for not disposing off the debris in time will be made @ Rs.500/- per Cu.M / day.
5. Contractor should arrange viscosity meter (cup type) at site for measuring viscosity of paint.
6. The empty paint buckets will remain in custody of department up till completion of work for accounting purpose.
7.No Escalation is applicble for this work.
8. Supervisors of work are required to have mendatory PVC so that labour can be allowed by them base of I-card.

NOTES FOR SCAFFOLDING
1. The building include G+3 storeyed & hence contractor has to observe all safety procedure while working on heights as per I.S. 3696 (Part-I) - 1987. (Safety Code for scaffolds).
2.Contractor has to make his own arrangement at his expenses to provide sufficient safety belts & helmets of approved quality & make before commencement of work and should be shown to EIC for verifying the quality & quantity of safety belt / helmet sets.
3. Labours working on the scaffolding should be with safety belts, helmets and they should wear the same while working. Labours seen not wearing safety belts & helmets shall be sent out of the work site immediately and a penalty of Rs.1000.00 per person per day will be levied.
4. The scaffolding once provided for the repair work shall be removed after the entire repair work is completed in all respects and payment shall be made after completion of painting work and shall be measured once only.
5. Suitable nylon net with a mesh size of 25mm shall be provided at 4 M. height from the ground level around the buildings upto a distance of minimum 3 M. from the edge of the building in all sides to catch any falling objects causing accidents.
6. Screen of suitable material shall be provided to the full height of scaffolding and securely tied to protect falling bodies coming out during the repair work is in progress.
7. To protect workers on lower platform against falling objects from higher level over head protection should be provided on the scaffolds.
8. Contractor has to provide nylon mesh and screen to avoid falling bodies at his own cost and no extra payment shall be made for same.
9. The workers engaged on the repair work are required to be insured as per Government norms at the cost of contractor.
10. Necessary aluminium/ M.S. ladder shall be provided at the cost of the contractor, to the full height of scaffolding at required locations around the building to enable department Engineer/ Supervisor clamp up and closely watch the repair building.
11. Contractor has to make own arrangement at his expenses for temporary sealing the windows with plywood, to avoid breaking of windows panes, during the progress of work.
12. Tubular props shall be provided before commencing the repair work for any structural member and shall be removed after 7 days of completion of repair work.
13. Design of scaffolding for carrying out above work as per all relevant IS Codes & specification shall be submitted by contractor within 10 days of award of work and shall got approved by Engineer-in-charge.
14. At least 1/3 of the total scaffolding required shall be procurred/ arranged at site of work within 20 days of award of work .
15. All working platform must be of minimum 600 mm wide, made of M.S pipe and must have guard rails as per specification.
16. The mode of measurement shall be the over all (plain) external surface areas of building covered by the scaffolding measured flat and no deduction shall be made for any openings in the surface. Nor the jambs, sill, soffits etc. of such openings shall be measured for payment. After finishing, Name of building & flat nos in stairecase shall be written in glow paint as per existing pattern.
17. After finishing , Name of building and flat no's in staircase shall be written in glow paint as per existing pattern.
18. Agency has to refix the cable removed during repair works with necessary clipping if any at his own cost.
19. Additional support has to be taken from the terrace for stability of the scaffolding.
20. Suitable cushion to be provided for the counter weight station at the terrace to avoid damaging of water proofing.
21. Anchor fastener required for the scaffolding shall be included in the quoted rate of item, the agency has to provide 8mm dia S.S anchor fastner at his own cost. The anchor fastner should be fixed @ 2 no's(Minimum per floor for gable end wall/External lift wall) and after the completion of work, anchor fastner should be cut and sealed the gap with polymer modified mortar properly.
NOTES FOR PLASTERING WORK:
1. Premix shall be factory made and shall be with OPC. 43 grade
2. Sand used in premix shall be Confirming to IS-383 and as per Specification.
3. Premix plaster shall be cement mortar 1:4
4. Premix plaster factory made material must be in sealed cover. All precuation as in cement shall be observed.
5. Each lot / batch of material supply shall preferably be supplied direct from factory to site.
6. Manufacture must give date of manufacture of cement used and date of Manufacture of premix plaster.
7. Each lot / batch must be tested for cement content and compreshive strength.
8. The contractor must take full precautions that original brick work is not damaged while dismantling of plaster. In case of any damage the same shall be made good with 22g chicken wire mesh at his own cost . No separate payment for any additional thickness of plaster if any will be made. Contractor must visit site and acquaint himself with the condition of building.
NOTE FOR PAINTING WORK
1) The surface shall be cleaned with water jet with high pressure water pump spray of at least 100 kg/sq.m. and brushing/ rubbing with coir to remove all foreign materials etc. before painting work.
2) The entire treatment shall stand guarantee for water tightness from external treated surfaces and for bone dry conditions for a period of Five ( 5 ) years .The guarantee shall be given on the regular format of the Department under Conditions of Contract.
3) Lower consumption less than as mentioned will be recovered @ Rs. 450/ltr
4) Any leakages complaints received with a period of 5 years from the date of competion.The contractor shall employee sufficient labour and rectify the leakages immediately within 7 days of those of such complaint from EIC

103 Repairs to damaged RCC structural members at all locations/ floors using polymer modified cementatious mortar, for strengthening the existing RCC structural members using acrylic based polymer and comprising the following operations: 1. Breaking cracked / spalled concrete members along the cracks with plaster, including removing and stacking of all unserviceable material at site,simultaneous transportation and disposed at a location in Anushaktinagar as identified by EIC. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in Charge. 2. Exposing and cleaning the reinforcement thoroughly by light tapping / wire brushing of using strong emery paper and finally by acetone /rust remover of Dr. Fixit / Anuvi chemicals / Fosroc or other eqivalent. 3. Applying a coat of polymer and cement slurry in the ratio 1:1 by volume to the reinforcement bars. 4. Polymer required for the work shall be procured by the Agency from approved Manufacturers Like M/s Astra , M/s Anuvi, M/s Apcotex or other approved equivalent manufacturer confirming to technical requirements as below and the invoices/challans etc to be submitted to EIC for record. Appearance: Milky white Ph- value : 9-10 Specific gravity : 1.055+/-0.005 Solid contents(%w/w)-: 44+/-1 Viscocity at 25 degree C temperature (in sec): 15-20 Testing of the material as per relevant codes at NABL approved third party Lab. is to be done by the Agency for every batch/lot of supply. 5. Bond coat should be applied @ 0.37 ltr./layer/sq.m. 6. Minimum FM of silica sand should be 2.10
103.01 a) Building up with polymer modified cementatious mortar for RCC structural members etc. in layers not exceeding 20 mm in a day (proportion – cement 50 Kg. : Silica sand 125 Kg. : polymer liquid 10 ltrs.) with necessary bond coat (polymer : Cement = 1:1 by volume) for tack coat and also for subsequent layers using polymer including curing, covering the flooring /window with tarpaulins or equivalent covering material to avoid deposition of polymer mortar and cleaning of floor / windows thoroughly on completion of repair work etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 104 Jacketing and strengthening of R.C.C column with free flow self compacting micro concrete made with Roff concrete Repair (Super flow micro concrete) manufactured by M/S. Roff construction chemical, (or) Renderoc RG manufactured by M/s. Fosroc chemicals (India) limited (or) ESSEN construction chemical or other approved equivalent make, which consist of dismantling loose concrete along with plaster, cleaning the reinforcement thoroughly with wire brush and finally with acetone, making micro concrete by mixing prepacked dry micro concrete and water in proportion as prescribed by the manufacture, mixing them thoroughly for 5 minutes for achieving free flow state of micro concrete, pouring the micro concrete in layers, compacting the concrete by blowing strokes with 16mm steel rod curing for 10 days (curing shall be commenced immediately after 4 hours of pouring concrete) etc. including providing shuttering and disposal of debris at a location in Anushaktinagar as identified by EIC etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the EIC . 108 Providing the truck mounted boom lift service for inspection of structure at higher elevations, emergency repairing, crack filling, plastering, painting, arresting leakage, removing wild vagitation, cleaning of ACP/glass panes etc in buildings, wherever it is required as per specifications including trasportation, fuel chages, Driver, assistant to driver etc., including all taxes and as directed by EIC. Note: 1. The agency has to observe all safety procedure while working on heights. 2. Labours working on the man lifter should be with safety belts, helmets and they should wear the same while working. Labours seen not wearing safety belts & helmets shall be sent out of the work site immediately and a penalty of Rs.1000.00 per person per day will be levied. 3. The workers engaged on the repair work are require to be insured as per Govt. noms at the cost of contractor. 4. Additional lift guard rope shall be provided from terrace of building. 5. All documets related to truck boom lifter shall be submitted to EIC. 6. If Boom lifter is breake down or suddenly its stops working due to any reason payment will be made against actual time spent for carring out work. 7. The rate mentioned above is per day for 8.5 working hours excluding lunch or any break. 8. Measurement of payment will be done by converting 8.5 Hr per day amount in to actual working time( from actual start of work to end of work). In case of breakdown, the measurement shall be taken proportionately. 9. The gate pass required for vehicle, driver and helper shall be arranged by Agency with approval of EIC.

110 Providing and applying one coat of base primer (Apex Ultima protect of M/s. Asian paints or Aquatech of M/s. ICI Dulux or equivalent) and two top coats of acrylic water proof exterior coating of Weathershield flexx rainproof system of M/s. ICI Dulux or other approved equivalent make and shade over the sand face / form finished surfaces / rough cast plaster at all locations as required, thoroughly mixed and applied at an interval of 6-8 hours for each successive coats and ensure consumption of 0.47 ltr/Sqm for 3 coats,(base coat @.29 Ltr/sqm & two top coats @0.18 Ltr/sqm ) for sand face surfaces including preparation of surface, cleaning and filling the cracks and crevices with Latex caulking crack filler etc. Complete generally as per the manufacturer's specification and as directed by the EIC.
