Removing of old filter media (i.e. activated carbon and pea gravel filter to sand with activated carbon) including disposal of unserviceable material for an average lead of 100 to 200Mtrs as per directions of site engineer and stacking of serviceable material for an avg. lead of 50Mtrs including washing and sieving and of same etc. complete job.
Cleaning of wall, and beds of the activated carbon beds by washing, brushing twice and cleaning silt by spraying water by pumping equipment and chemical washing of surface by spraying chemical solution. This item also includes bathing of pores, then clearance of all surface after chemical bath by washing with clean water and ensuring zero alkanity. Complete job. (excluding the cost of bleaching powder).
Providing, laying and placing in position, filter media i.e. (Natural gravel of size 40mm to 2mm spherical as much as possible to be arranged in three layers of 200mm each as a graded material with coarse layer at bottom and fine at top in the range of 40mm-20mm, 20mm -15mm and Coarse Sand) in filter beds, properly graded, duly cleaned, washed and placed above and surrounding PVC under drainage pipes without causing any damage to these pipes including all carriages, leads lifts etc. up to site of consumption. The filter media shall conform to relevant IS: specification / referred to IS:8419 (Part-I) 1977 read with latest amendments. (Complete Job) including all carriages whatsoever involved.
Washing / cleaning / sieving of filter media of all grades getting free from all dirt, clay, dust etc. The job includes stacking of serviceable cleaned filter media and to separate the different sizes for use in layers. This item also includes laying and shrouding of filter media in layer in activated carbon chamber beds as per approved specification excluding cost of filter media. (Measurements to be taken in beds in finished form).
Supplying and shrouding (laying) of activated carbon having Iodine value of minimum 900IV and other quality parameters as per BIS 2751-1995 with latest amendments having bulk density of 520Kg/Cum. This item also includes all types of carriages upto site of work (complete job). Testing charges of Activated Carbon will be borne by the agency.
