Consultancy Services for special repair to building No P-9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 of certain unit at Mil Stn Bikaner

Phase - I : Non Destructive Testing (NDT) & Structural analysis

Material & Labour to carryout Visual inspection and photography performing a visual survey of the building and recording/mapping on drawing to assess extent of spelled concrete, cracked concrete, honey combing, reinforcement corrosion, delaminated concrete etc, taking photographs and videos to collect evidence of damage to structure complete all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour to carryout Ultrasonic pulse velocity test for RCC structure in different buildings in accordance with IS:13311 (Part-I) : 1992 by portable ultrasonic non destructive digital test equipment including chipping out plaster complete all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour to carryout Rebound Hammer test in different buildings in accordance with IS : 13311 (Part-II) : 1992 by portable non destructive digital test equipment complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour to carryout Core cutting and compression test for RCC structure in different buildings in accordance with IS: 516 on RCC members. 70 mm core cutting in reinforcement concrete, core filling by specialized epoxy material/micro concrete with bond coat complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour to carryout Reinforcement mapping test on RCC members in different buildings to assess covers, spacing of bars including approximate diametre of bar complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour to carryout Chemical Test for RCC structure in different buildings in accordance with IS 456 : 2000 using ready made kits and reagents. Sample collected will be from half cell / carbonation powder and determination of followings complete all as specified and directed :- (i) PH value (ii) Water soluble sulphates (iii) Water soluble chlorides contents

Material and Labour to carryout Half cell potential test for RCC structure in different buildings in accordance with ASTM C876 half cell potential to assess the probability of corrosion of reinforcement complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour to carryout Carbonation test for RCC structure in different buildings in accordance with BS 1881-201-1986 clause No. 2.22, Carbonation test to measure extent of carbonation from the concrete surface complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour to carryout Concrete resistivity test in different buildings complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour to carryout Structure analysis of the building based on results of Non Destructive Tests including vetting of structural analysis from IIT/NITTTR/CBRI, complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Original structural drawings of the buildings will be provided to the Consultant after commencement of work at site.

Notes applicable to Phase-I (serial item No. 1.01 to 1.10) :- (i) Scaffolding required to carryout the work at different heights of the buildings will be arranged by the consultant and cost thereof is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the consultant. (ii) Soft copy of Non Destructive Test (NDT) report will also be submitted by the consultant to the GE for which power point presentation will be held in the presence of representative of CWE Bikaner, before the issue of completion certificate in respect of Phase-I. (iii) The Presentation shall invariably cover the followings aspects :- (a) Results of NDT tests. (b) Inferences drawn from the test reports regarding the residual life of the buildings, structural safety etc. (c) The suggested course of action/methodology for retrofitting and rehabilitation, for which details BOQ shall be prepared building wise in Phase-II. (d) Venue of Presentation will be either in the office of GE (N) Bikaner or CWE Bikaner. (e) In case of difference in opinion of Consultant and MES authorities, fresh presentation shall be arranged by the Consultant after duly addressing the points highlighted in the earlier presentation(s). (iv) Cost of presentation as mentioned above is deemed to be inclusive in the unit rates quoted by the consultant.

Phase - II (Rehabilitation Works required for Structural Stability of Buildings)

Material and Labour for Consultancy of services of retrofitting / rehabilitation of buildings to suggest remedial measures to the defects / damages of the RCC structure found under Phase-I here-in-before including recommendation of retrofitting / rehabilitation works required for structural stability of the buildings including detailed methodology (building wise), including working out cost of retrofitting / rehabilitation methods and submission of detailed BOQ (building wise), as agreed to during presentation in respect of Phase-I, complete all as specified and as directed.

Vetting of report of retrofitting / rehabilitation methodology carried out by the any of the following agency :- (a) Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee, Uttarakhand (b) NITTTR, Sector-26, Chandigarh - 160019 (c) Any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

Notes applicable to Phase-II (serial item No. 2.01 to 2.02) :- Unit rates quoted under Phase-II shall deemed to include for the cost of submission of complete reports in sextuplicate along with soft copy.
