Dismantling, removing and carefully stacking Reinforced cement concrete and roughening the surface etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the Departmental officers.
Dismantling, removing and carefully stacking with One Course of Pressed Tile Roof finish in cement mortar, complete as directed by the departmental officers
Supplying and erecting centering for sides and soffits including necessary supports and strutting upto 3.29 M height for plane surfaces as detailed below in all floors with all cross bracings using Mild Steel sheets of size 90 x 60 cm and 10 BG stiffened with welded Mild Steel angle of size 25mm x 25mm x 3 mm for boarding laid over silver oak joists of size 10cm x 6.50 cm spaced at abote 90 cm centre to centre and supported by casurina props of 10cm to 13 cm dia spaced at not more than 75 cm centre to centre etc. complete complying with the standard specificaiton. (Payment for centering shall be given after the concrete is laid)
Clean all surfaces and remove any dust, unsound material, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits or algae. Roughen the surfaces, remove any laitance and expose the aggregate by light scrabbling or grit-blasting. Oil and grease deposits should be removed by steam cleaning, detergent scrubbing or the use of a proprietary degreaser. The effectiveness of decontamination and soundness of the substrate should then be assessed by a pull-off test. Any steel reinforcement and formwork should be prepared, cut to size and shape, and made ready for assembly before mixing commences. Care should be taken to ensure that water proof component is thoroughly mixed. The ‘hardener’ and ‘base’ components should be stirred separately before mixing to disperse any settlement. The entire contents of the ‘hardener’ tin should then be poured into the ‘base’ tin and the two materials thoroughly mixed using a suitable slow-speed heavy duty drill and mixing paddle for 2 minutes until a fully uniform colour is obtained. The sides of the tin should then be scraped and mixing should continue for a further 2 minute
Relaying the Reinforced cement concrete 1:1.5:3 (One cement one point five sand and three broken Machine crushed stone jelly) using 20mm gauge hard broken granite jelly for all RCC works such as slabs, beams, footings, staircase waist slabs, steps, landing beams fins, boxing, vertical louver, drops, window sill slabs projection and other similar works including laying curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. Supplying, fabricating and placing in position Mild Steel / Ribbed Tor Steel grills for all RCC works given including cost of steel and G.I. binding wire in all floors etc. complete complying with standard specification. (Contractor has to make his own arrangements for the supply of steel and binding wire)
Weathering course in brick jelly lime concrete using broken brick jelly of size 20mm uniform gauge in pure slaked lime (no sand to be used) to the proportion of brick jelly to lime being 32:12.5 by volume and laid over the RCC roof slab in a single layer of required slope and finished by beating the concrete with wooden beaters of approved pattern, keeping the surface constantly wet by sprinkling lime jaggery water, etc., complete as per standard specification and as directed by the deparmental officers.
Paving the top of roof with solar reflective ceramic tiles of size 305x305x7mm thick of approved quality and colour laid in cement mortar 1:3 12mm thick and pointed with the grout and cement in the ratio of 1:3 for joint, curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Plastering and finishing the exposed surface of all RCC items of work such as slabs, beams, sunshades, facia, canopy slab, staircase waist slab, landing slab etc., with Cement Mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three Sand) 10mm thick including hacking the surfaces, providing cement mortar nosing, beading for sunshades, staircases, steps, landing slabs and curing, etc., in all floors complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers
Providing Antitermite continuous chemical barrier / treated Zone below and around the existing building /structure. Modern techniq use like microwave based termite movement detector “Termitrac” shall also be used for possible detection of termites in inaccesiable areas by non invasive way and Sub Slab Injector shall be used for the treatment to the soil below PCC or Slab on external peripheryTreatment to wall and floor junction : Holes of 12mm dia 300 mm apart will be drilled along the inner junction of wall and floor in the entire ground floor premises . Water based chemical emulsion will be injected under pressure into these holes , to create a barrier against termites . If the building is on stilts , holes shall be drilled along the column sides at ground level .Treatment to soil under floor : On the ground floor, if the cracks are noticed because of construction joints , expansion joints or shrinkage , the soil below floor needs to be treated Holes of 12mm dia 300 mm apart will be drilled along the cracks only and water based chemical emulsion will be injected .Treatment to wooden fixtures : Holes of 12mm dia will be drilled at the base of wooden members such as window frames, door frames inset in the flooring and water based chemical emulsion will be injected .This treatment will done on all floors(except basement/ terrace ). An oil-based chemical will be sprayed on all the woodwork infested by termites within the premises.Treatment to termite tubes : Visible and accessible shelter mud tubes will be removed and the infested area will be sprayed with water based chemical emulsion .This treatment will be done on all floors.Treatment along the external perimeter of the building : Trenching or drilling holes along the external walls of the building (similar to stage of 3.1 mentioned above) will be carried out to create a continuous chemical barrier around the building. Sub Slab injector may be used for this treatment .
Painting the walls with Two coats with first class quality Plastic Emulsion paint of approved colour over a priming coat including thorough scraping, clean removal of dirt. The rate includes cost of brushes, sand paper, plaster of parries, putty wherever required and neat finishing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the Departmental Officer (the colour and quality should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use) S I No 358
