Provision for monsoon shed using high density plastic sheet laid above a temporary structure.

Provision for shifting of furniture from the museum after providing necessary protection by covering to avoid damages while carrying to store as per directions of In charge.

Dismantling brick work with Cement mortar with out causing any damages to other components building and collection of serviceable materials for reuse and disposal of debris in a lead of 50m from the work spot(upto 3m Ht.)

Careful dismantling of deteriorated cornices and preparing the surface for replastering, including disposal of debris to dumping ground within 50 metres lead as per the directions of the Engineer.

Careful scraping and cleaning of paint from wooden surfaces using blow lamp without causing any damage to the wooden surfaces, including removal and refitting of shuters

Dismantling and clearing away carefully and stacking materials useful for reuse of damaged Mangalore tile roofing including removal of pan tiles , wooden reeper with T.W. planks and stocking of the useful materials etc. complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Dismantling of wooden structural system carefully with out causing any damages to Wrought and framed timber in roofs or floors like Main beams, Secondary beams, Rafters, floor planks (Any damages caused while execution of work should be rectified by the contractor in their own cost)and stacking the serviceable materials with in the site for reuse including all cost of all lead and lift etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Labour charge for repairing the TW beam, joist including servicing and refixing etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Dismantling and clearing away carefully and stacking materials useful for reuse of fire affected and Cracked Madras terrace roof of approximately 31cm thick and conveying the debris from inside to outside etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Dismantling of damaged and undulated flooring and conveying debries from all floors to ground level outside the building etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Dismantling of plain cement concrete complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers

Dismantling aluminium/ Gypsum partitions, doors, windows, fixed glazing and false ceiling including disposal of unserviceable surplus material and stacking of serviceable material etc.,and as directed by the departmental officers.

Dismantling of Leaky weathering coarse materials and disposing the debris excluding erection of scaffolding and proper centering for the safety of labours etc., complete as per std. specification and as per the direction of dept. officials.

Careful removal of old lighting fixtures from the building and stacking the servicable material etc.,and as directed by the departmental officers.(Q)

Careful scraping and cleaning of paint from Metal surfaces Paint remover and removing any formed rust formed on the surface as secified by the Engineer .

Finishing the new/old plastered surface with Class C Lime as per IS 712-1973 in Three layers two base coat and one top coat of fine quality Metakaolin lime (M-Lime) which is a dehydroxylated form of the clay mineral kaolinite. The top finished coat should be done as per approved colour and texture, or as directed by conservation architect/engineer in charge.

White washing Three coats with freshly burnt white shell lime in all floors including cost of lime, blue powder, fevicol type gum, brushes, scaffolding charges, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers

Applying hydrophobic solvent base moisture and dust repellent wacker coat above lime wash, over external walls in three coats, applied using brush wet on wet etc.,complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.(Q)

Laying Brick jelly lime concrete in lime mortar 1:2 ( One lime and two brick jelly ) (no sand to be added) using 20 mm gauge brick jelly for foundation, flooring including dewatering wherever necessary and laid in layers well rammed, consolidated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Finishing the top of roof with one course of machine pressed tiles of size 230mm x 230mm x 20mm of approved quality set in Lime Mortar 1:3 (One Lime and Three Sand) 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound conforming to ISS at 2% by weight of cement used and the joints pointed neatly to full depth of tiles with the same cement mortar mixed with red oxide and water proofing compound including curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers

Reconstruction of brick masonry wall with similar type of bricks in lime mortar 1:2 (one lime two sand) using wire cut brick of size 9"x4"x3" (Specially manufacturing) and using Pollachi lime in all floors as per traditional preparation and documented type construction such as arches and lintels, walls, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Paving the floor with best approved quality sadharhalli granite rough/natural finish granite 70-100 mm thick of grey and similar varieties with machine cut edges laid over a lime mortar bed of 20mm thick using lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) fixing the slabs with required lime slurry and laid in true right angles with minimum possible width of joints and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with matching colouring pigments etc., the granite stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved of the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Paving the floor with Clay tiles (anti-skid tiles) of 20mm thick of approved quality and colour laid in Cement Mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three sand) 20mm thick and pointing with colour cement at the rate of0.40 Kg. / sq.m and mixing with colouring pigment at the rate0.30kg/ sq.m including finishing complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The make and brand of the tiles should be got approved by Executive Engineer before use on works)

Paving the floor with best approved quality fine polished Kota stone slabs of size 600 x 600 mm and above of 18 / 20mm with machine cut edges and matching marble slab not less than 100mm width other than Adanga Marbles as border laid over a cement mortar bed of 20mm thick using cement mortar 1:3 (One cement and three sand) fixing the slabs in true right angles with minimum possible width of joints and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with mathcing colouring pigments and polishing with floor polisher to a high degree of finish etc., The kota stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard speicification.

Plastering with Lime Surkhi plaster including preparation of mortar by traditional methods (by pressure mixing in chakki) in three courses of base course and second course including tamping, beating, curing till the shrinkage cracks disappear. Finishing the surface with third layer of cebara finish. Curing to be done for 21 days with help of water spray pump. In proportion Lime Mortar (1:2) / Lime Mortar (1:1.5) to be based on the site conditions and specifications as per direction of Engineer-in-charge/ Engineer

Strengthening the existing walls by providing grouting by formation of two holes of size 1" with required intervals - depth of 350mm for an area of 1 sq.m and depending upon the site conditions injecting lime slurry consisting of lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors added with grouting admixture by 2% weight of lime, by using required equipment and the rate includes the cost of all materials, labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers

Stitching of cracks using stone lintels (50x150x1000mm) for the cracks in the masonry walls as specified including making groove, cutting and inserting stone slab, packing with mortar and making good the masonry work as per the directions of Engineer in-charge/ Engineer

Stitching of cracks using 12mm dia. and 2’ long SS-rods . The rods should be applied with a layer of anti-corrosive paint, the ends of the rod to be bent at 6’’ each then to be inserted into the masonry after drilling a hole and making a 1/2" groove in the masonry, packing with lime mortar and making good the masonry as per the directions of Engineer in-charge/ Engineer

Removing the existing vegetation growth in the Building by way of uprooting the plants manually and then drilling with power driller up to the root depth of plants obtain a clean and neat drill so as to continuously inspect and remove left over roots of vegetation growths and to inject pesticides into the holes so as to prevent further growth of vegetation in the future to safeguard the country old heritage building etc. The cost including the cost of pesticides used, hire charges of injecting machine for injecting chemicals, cost of tools and all labour charges, etc., complete and complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing Anti termite treatment as per IS 6315 (Part -2) 2001 (Pre-constructional chemical treatment measures) along with internal & external vertical faces of the columns, plinth beams, basement and top surface of the basement filling below flooring bed as per the specified procedure confirming to IS 6315 (Part-2) 2001 1% concentration @7.5 liters/sqm of the vertical surface @ 5.0 liters/Sqm of the horizontal surface of the sub structure to a depth of 500 mm around columns & 300 mm deep around plinth beams, basements & floor filling area including excavation channel along the wall & rodding etc & cost & conveyance of all materials to the site, cost of labour for spraying, rodding etc and Overheads & contractors profit for finished item of work as per the approval of the Engineer-in-charge

Restoration of Cornices (wherever damaged) with moulding, decorative bands using traditional lime mortar (1:3 Lime Mortar and finishing it with fine mortar using brick masonry set in 1:0.5: 3 Lime surki mortar, plastered with 1:3 LM finished with 1:2 fine ground LM) including inserting brick pieces, making templates to match the original work etc complete up to 150 mm thick/wide

Providing and fixing the granite bed rock below the Metal, wooden beams etc. wherever required as per directions from CA/engineer in charge

Painting new wood work with two finishing coats of synthetic enamel ready mixed paint of approved quality and colour over one coat priming coat in all floors including the cost of primer etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)

Providing Melamine polish in teak wood doors, windows (The make, quality and colour of polish should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)

Painting new iron works such as steel doors, windows, ventilators, window bars, balustrades etc., with two coats of best approved first quality and colour of synthetic enamel paint over the existing red oxide priming coat in all floors excluding cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)

Easing and repairing hanging doors, window shutters and refixing the same after attending the petty repairs including fixing furniture fittings and excluding cost of furniture fittings etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing and Fixing the custom made door window accessories where ever deteriorated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing and fixing teak wood decorative panelled door adesign and specification should be approved departmental officers and complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Making, supplying and fixing of panelled window of size 1.65x2.10m with Teak wood window shutter is made with two number of 75mmx35mm size vertical styles, top rail, lock rails and bottom rail of size 80mmx35mm,200mmx35mm, 129mmx25mm respectively . The window shutter panels is covered with teak wood planks of 35mm thick including all necessary fittings brass/steel hardwaraes like screws, nails, hinges, hooks, tower bolts, handle, aldrops of same design, size etc complete. item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officer. (The rate inclusive of cost of all teak wood materials, Labour wrought and putup of door frames and shutters, cost of all furniture fittings, labour charges for fixing inposition etc., complete complying with standard specifications).

Redoing of Madras Terrace roof in all floors with one layer of brick on edge course laid as first layer over the existing Teakwood joists, Beams, I Sections, etc., which are placed at roof level in all floors using specially manufactured Terrace bricks for heritage works of size 150mm x 75mm x 25mm in lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand). The second layer is laid with specially manufactured Terrace bricks for Heritage works of size 150mm x 75mm x 25mm in flat manner in lime mortar 1:2 ( one lime and t\wo sand) 20mm thick as base layer laid over the top of brick on edge course. Brick jelly lime concrete using broken brick jelly of size 20mm uniform gauge in pure slaked lime (no sand to be added) to the proportion of brick jelly to lime being 32:12.50 by volume laid over the second layer of terrace bricks for an average consolidated thickness of 100mm in a single layer of required slope/level as directed and finished by beating the concrete with wooden beaters of approved pattern, keeping the surface constantly wet by sprinkling lime jaggery (PALM JAGGERY) water. (Galnut of 10kg and jaggery of 10kg per one sq.m). The beating of the concrete is done continuously until the brick jelly lime concrete is well hardened.

After ensuring the harden surface of brick jelly lime concrete, flat tiles of 150mm x 150mm x 25mm of specially manufactured superior quality to suit the heritage works is laid in two consecutive layers in lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two sand) 15mm thick for each layer of flat tiles. The base mortar provided for the top course of flat tiles is mixed with SBR (Synthetic Butadiene Rubber) Polymer at the rate of 0.5 litres for one sq.m is applied for water proofing chemical treatment including neat finishing. The Materials like Terrace bricks for the heritage work as from Thirukkattupalli and Pollachi lime should only be used. The period of interval between laying of I layer, II layer of terrace bricks, brick jelly lime concrete and flat tiles in two consecutive layers as directed by the departmental officers

Teakwood wrought & putup for joist, beam, rafters and purlins,etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the Madras Terrace roof/ Mangalore tiles roof or any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of teakwood for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts incase of doors, windows and ventilators etc.,and excluding cost of holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of wooden joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. Item to include all moulding and chamber to be made as per original design indicated by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of teakwood, labour charges for wrought and putup to the existing clue/design, fixing in position to true alignment and gradient wherever necessary and complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers

Laying of roofing with mangalore tiles over Galvanised sheet 0.25mm set in Teak wood reepers of size (50x12mm) using Pollachi lime in all floors for Brick masonry band with mangalore tiles, including Teak wood reepers of size (50x12mm) complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.(The rate includes the cost of all materials like Mangalore tiles,Galvanised sheet,and labour charges for laying of Mangalore tiles with Galvanised sheet roof in position).

Renewing the damaged G.I. Sheet RAIN WATER GUTTER with new corrugated G.I. Sheet of 22 Gauge 0.80 mm thick with necessary 'U' or 'J' bolts screws,nails and bitumen washers including cost of labour and materials etc., complete complying with standard specification as directed by the departmental officers

Supplying and stacking new best Mangalore Ridge tiles at site of work for premeasurement as directed by the departmental officers, etc., complete

Renewing and fixing Eaves board of size 25 cm x 2 cm using teak wood of best quality as per existing style including cost of teakwood , labour wrought and putup, labour charges for fixing in position etc. complete complying with standard specifications

Labour charges for supplying and fixing of hoisting machine by hire basis for lifting of all materials from ground to terrace and shifting of damaged unused materials from terrace to ground floor with necessary rope, heisting platform, motor, controller as per site requirement days etc., the rate is inclusive of hire charges for machine, labour charges for operating the machine and daily Bata and conveyance charges and dismantling and removing the same after completion of work etc complete with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Construction of mortar pit of inner size 0.90m x 0.45m with brick partition wall 11.50cm thick in cement mortar 1:3 (one cement and three M-Sand) for 60cm height with necessary earth work open excavation for a size of 1.43m x 0.98m to a depth of 0.91m and sand filling for 15cm thick, Plain Cement Concrete 1:5:10 (one cement, five sand and ten 40mm HBG stone jelly), 8cm thick with plastering 1:5 (one cement and sand), 12mm thick on both sides and top etc., complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Earth work excavation for foundation in all soils and sub-soils and to full depth as may be directed except in rock requiring blasting inclusive of shoring shuttering, bailing out water wherever necessary and depositing the surplus earth within the compound in places shown by the departmental officers with an initial lead of 10 mts and initial lift of 2 mts. and clearing and levelling the site, etc., complete complying with standard specification.

Refilling basement with excavated earth in layers of not more than 15cm thick well rammed, watered and consolidated etc.,all complete complying with standard specification

Supplying and filling in foundation, basement, etc with filling sand in layers of not more than 15 cm thick well watered, rammed and consolidated etc. complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Plan Cement Concrete 1:4:8(One Cement Four sand Eight aggregates) using 40mm gauge HBG jelly inclusive of shoring strutting and baling out water where ever necessary ramming curing etc., complete in respects complying with relevant standard specification and as directed by the Department Officers.

Plain Cement Concrete 1:3:6 (one cement, three sand and six hard broken stone jelly) using 20mm jelly for wearing coat including laying, compacting, finishing and curing, etc., complete as per standard specificatins and as directed by the departmental officers.

Damp proof course with Cement Mortar 1:4 (One Cement and Four sand) 12mm thick mixed with best approved quality water proofing compound conforming to Indian Standard specification as specified by the departmental officers at 2% by weight of cement used and finishing, curing etc. complete complying with standard specification.

Providing and placing in position of Reinforced Cement Concrete of Grade M20 with well graded aggregates and the nominal maximum size of coarse aggregate of 20mm weigh batching the ingredients and mixing in approved mixers/batching plant (to produce concrete of the specified characteristic strength of 20N/mm2 at 28days) including dewatering of placement site by bailing/pumping and by diverting wherever necessary laying the concrete in layers and in bays, Vibrating, compacting and finishing the surface water curing so as to attain the profile and strength specified in the approved drawing and specifications etc, complete as directed by the Engineer in charge of works and as per the technical specifications

Supplying, fabricating and placing in position Mild Steel / Ribbed Tor Steel grills for all RCC works as per design given including cost of steel and G.I. binding wire in all floors etc. complete complying with standard specification. (Contractor has to make his own arrangements for the supply of steel and binding wire)

Supplying and erecting centering including necessary supports for plane surfaces for Reinforced Cement Concrete works such as column footings, column pedestals, plinth beams, grade beams, staircase steps, etc. which require only nominal strutting using mild steel sheets of size 90cm x 60cm and 10 BG stiffened with welded mild steel angles of size 25mm x 25mm x 3 mm for boarding, laid over silver oak joists of size 10cm x 6.5cm spaced at about 75cm centre to centre or at suitable intervals etc. complete in all floors complying with standard specifcation. (Payment for centering shall be given after the concrete is laid) .

For plane surfaces such as roof slab, lintel and beams etc.,

Brick work in following Cement Mortar using best quality II class table moulded chamber burnt bricks of size 9" x 4-3/8" x 2-3/4" for foundation and basement including curing, etc., complete complying with standard specifiction.

Flooring with following ceramic tiles of size 305 x 305 x 6 mm laid over 20 mm thick cement mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three Sand) base mortar over the existing slab / floor including cutting the tiles to the required size with special cutter wherever necessary, laying in position and pointing with white cement mixed with colouring pigment at the rate of 0.3 Kg. / sq.m. etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The make and brand of the tiles should be got approved by Executive Engineer before use on works)

Dadooing walls with following best approved quality, coloured glazed tiles of 300x3000x6mm sizes set in Cement Mortar 1:2 (One Cement and Two sand) 10mm thick and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with colouring pigments at the rate of 0.40 Kg. / sq.m. neatly in all floors, curing, etc., complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and fixing approved best quality aluminium anodised towel rail 600mm long and 20mm dia with brackets of same materials including cost of teak wood plugs and CP screws, etc., complete complying with standard specifications. (The tower rail should be got approved by Executive Engineer before use on works).

Supplying and fixing in position Indian make bevelled edge mirror of approved quality and brand PVC / Fibre Glass framed 600 x 450 x 5.5mm thick mirror, shelf type with hard board backing of approved colour fixed with brass screws, rawl plug, etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The mirror should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on woks)

Supplying and fixing best approved best quality brass CP soap tray of size 150 x 150mm including cost of teak wood plugs, brass screws, etc., complete complying with standard specifications. (The soap tray should be got approved by Executive Engineer before use on works).
