Sign Structure

Providing a Square Sign post of 300 x 300 mm, 5.4mm thick MS hollow sections including welded Base plate in 8mm thick MS Plate and Gussets in 6mm thick MS Plate as per drawing with holes to fix it on holding down bolts anchored in concrete footing. The post shall be closed with a 6 mm thick MS plate and parts kept unpainted to weld the sign structure as per the drawing to ensure a rigid connection at site. The entire post assembly shall be hot dipped galvanized and P.U. Painted to match RAL 9006 as specified and approved by the Engineer-In-charge. Cost to include all activities and temporary props used for a perfect vertical in plumb installation, shim Plates for adjustment of levels and filling the gap with concrete slurry etc. required for fixing the sign in an external location.

Foundation

Providing and laying foundation for the sign including its compaction and all activities like Excavation, PCC base layer, providing and fixing in position electrical connection wherever applicable and finished as per drawing. The item cost includes cutting and opening the floor finish at location, and making good the location to the match the original finish after fixing and installation of sign. Size of 3-legged Gantry – 22 Mtr.(Length) X 1.5 Mtr.(Sign Height) X 6 Mtr. Clearance.

Sign Face

Providing and fixing entire Sign face all 4 sides, made of printed vinyl flex, with the letters/pictogram to match Pantone Black 6C and the rest of the vinyl to match Pantone Yellow C. To be mounted onto framework using appropriate clips and edge ties to be perfectly taut with no sagging. Stitching of the vinyl flex should not be visible to the customers, preferably given at the back side of the box.

Suspender

Providing and fixing suspension for the signs using Stainless steel Hollow section 100mm OD, thickness 3mm (assuming typical length of 15 ft.), cut, fabricated as per drawing and provided with connectors plates for mounting with holes and entire assembly finished in brush finish as approved by the Engineer in-charge. Suspender shall be made to required lengths for each sign for its location after studying the site and ensuring a perfectly aligned and leveled sign installation. This item includes all work done on false ceiling like opening/dismantling/local cutting to pass the suspender and reinstalling/doing good/assembling the same after fixing and installation on the sign.

Sign Frame

Providing and fixing 25mm x 25mm x 1.3mm MS square sections welded together to form a framework i/c gusset plate. Frame to be directly fixed to the sign suspender. Frame to receive the sign faces.

Streching Member

Providing and fixing 5mm thick acrylic strips vertically to the sign frame to help stretching the sign face.

Complete sign box including channel supports are to be powder coated to match RAL9006. Sign box flange receiving the sign face shall be provided with slots to receive the sign face.

Lighting

All internal illumination shall be using LED strip edge Lights of approved make with electronic controllers, having even spread and overlaps to avoid banding and dark spots. Cost to include all internal connections and Wiring, terminating and connecting the incoming cable laid by Airport contractor at the site. Accessories: Providing and fixing all accessories such as thimbles, end connectors, nut-inserts, screws , rivets, bolts, washers, nuts, etc. complete as per drawing

Providing and fixing Non-illuminated signs including all operations from fabrication to installation all complete as per drawings, technical specifications, signage schedule and to the satisfaction of the Engineerin-Charge. All exterior signs should be manufactured considering harsh outdoor conditions, weatherproofing techniques and materials shall be used.

Sign face

Providing and fixing sign face panels 3mm thick Aluminium sheet fabrication, Aluminium sheet fixed to horizontal structural truss. White retro-reflective vinyl pasted over edge to edge aluminium sheet. Graphics in plotter cut RAL 5013 exterior grade opaque vinyl pasted over white retroreflective vinyl.

Sign Frame (Spanning Truss): Providing and fixing sign frame (Horizontal Spanning truss) in M.S. square section hot dipped galvanized as per drawing. Frame to be directly fixed to the sign structure. Frame to receive the sign faces.

Sign Structure: Providing a Square Sign post of 200 x 200 mm, 5.4 mm thick MS hollow sections including welded Base plate in 8mm thick MS Plate and Gussets in 6mm thick MS Plate as per drawing with holes to fix it on holding down bolts anchored in concrete footing. The post shall be closed with a 3 mm thick MS plate and parts kept unpainted to weld the sign structure as per the drawing to ensure a rigid connection at site. The entire post assembly shall be hot dipped galvanized and P.U. Painted to match RAL 9006 as specified and approved by the Engineer-In-charge. Cost to include all activities and temporary props used for a perfect vertical in plumb installation, shim Plates for adjustment of levels and filling the gap with concrete slurry etc. required for fixing the sign in an external location. The actual structural design of the sign for its stability shall be responsibility of the contractor. Spanning truss shall be designed for each Mounting square section span and the wind loads.

Foundation: Providing and laying foundation for the sign including its compaction and all activities like Excavation, PCC base layer, providing and fixing in position electrical connection wherever applicable and finished as per drawing. The item cost includes cutting and opening the floor finish at location, and making good the location to the match the original finish after fixing and installation of sign.

Supplying and drawing following sizes of FRLS PVC insulated copper conductor, single core cable in the existing surface/ recessed steel/ PVC conduit as required.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) for foundation work including form work etc as required.

Providing and fixing of approved shade Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP) of exterior grade for cladding on fascia for external canopy cladding of solid / Metallic colours, including all necessary frame work and complete weather sealing. The composite panel should consist of 2.5mm thermoplastic core of LDPE sandwiched between 2 skins of 0.25mm thick aluminium sheet (alloy designation 310S) making a total panel thickness of 3mm. The surface will be furnished with coating on top sides and service coating on reverse side. Coatings shall conform to specifications of ECCA / AAMA.

Dismantling of following size existing Signage Boards installed at terminal building and keeping the same in AAI store (within 50 Mtr. distance) as per site condition and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
