Attending breakdown of overhead LT/HT line at AFS Jalahalli by deploying technically qualified and experienced technicians to find out defective item/ taking out unserviceable parts such as insulator ,overhead conductor etc and repairing by changing the defective parts including minor repair to ACSR conductor connection/loose connection, screws,nuts & bolts and insulation tap to insulate the LT Cable and testing etc complete all as specified and as directed

Note : The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :-

The above job shall be carried out by a trained electrician having ITI in electrical, documentary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced before commencement of work.

Contractor or his Authorised Representative has to inspect all the overhead line on regular basis at their own arrangement .

Contractor has to arrange own moveable Generator of suitable capacity for repairing and testing of the Overhead line, defect rectification of LT Cables, etc. and to check the serviceability after repair.

The transportation/ T&P required for the work shall be arranged by the contractor and no extra cost shall be paid for the same.

Vehicle mounted ladder for maitenance services shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to department.

Materials required for the repairing of the OH line shall be measured and paid separately under respective item(s) . However, labour required for taking down, dismantling, repairing and replacing parts and reinstalling and testing the OH line shall deemed to be included in the rate quoted.

All safety measures and provn of all safety devices, first aid box etc shall be provided by the contractor. Contractor will be solely responsible for full safety of the tradesmen deployed for providing the services and department will have no liability for any type of accident. Unit rate quoted will be deemed to include the cost of the same and no extra payment shall be made on this account.

All type of T & P, PVC insulation tapes, minor nuts/ bolts/ washers etc required for maintaining the services shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to department.

Earth work (if necessary at Site) for removing of any Cable Fault will be Measured and Paid under respective Items.

In case of minor defect, entire job shall be completed within 02 hrs from the time of registration of complaint, failing which penalty charges @ Rs. 300 /- per hours shall be recovered from the contractor.

In case of major defect, the period for attending of complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC by accessing extent of repair required through joint inspection by Engineer-in-Charge and authorised service agent of the equipment at the site. If complaint is not rectified within the stipulated period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs.500/- per hours shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor.

Note that penalty is exclusively other than the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.

Supply only for compression / crimping type sleeve joints for jointing of ACSR conductor for jumper connection of above 12 mm dia of overall ACSR conductor including treatment with conducting jelly all as reqd as in repairs complete all as specified and as directed .

Supply only for loop type insulators vitreous, porcelain white, brown or green large size suitable for LT OH line complete all as specified and as directed .

Supply only for pin type porcelain, vitreous, white, brown or green insulators including galvanized mild steel spindle, two galvanised iron washers and one galvanized iron nuts, suitable for LT voltage grade including connected to conductor complete all as specified and as directed .

Supply only for ACSR conductor of any size and type including stretching, providing jumper, making bus bar and binding over insulator with aluminium binding wire complete all as specified and as directed.

Restraining for ACSR conductor of any type and size including stretching, providing jumper, making bus bar and binding over insulator with aluminium binding wire complete all as specified and as directed .

Supply and fixing in replacement MS cross arms, bracing, support, clamps and back plates fabricated from structural MS section including nuts, bolts, washer, welding bending cold or hot drilling holes for bolts in any shape or size with MS clamp including painting as indicated including MS Clamp etc complete all as specified and as directed .

M & L Insulating spacer 4 way between overhead ACSR conductor including taking down unserviceable old spacer complete all as specified and as directed

Supply and fixing in replacement Insulating spacer 2 way between overhead ACSR conductor including taking down of old unsericeable spacer 2 way complete all as specified and as directed

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtr in width and not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth for laying of cables up to proper level and laying of pipelines etc in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick, complete all as specified and directed.

Removing surplus excavated material (soil) not exc 50 meter and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 meter above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Spreading ribbed soil in trenches as in cable cushioning all as per IS 1255-1983, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Excavated approved soil shall be ribbed by using sieve to separate composite particles etc. as per IS and refilling in trenches before laying of cable 8 CM and 15 CM after laying of cable. This is then gently punned down to a depth of 10 cm above the top of upper most cable (ii) For the purpose of measurement only punned thickness shall be considered for payment.

Material and labour for well burnt bricks ‘B’ class as mechanical protection to under ground cables laying with length of the bricks equal to the width of the trench, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Cutting existing road/PCC/Drain for laying of GI or any type of pipe including necessary earth work, excavation exc 600mm depth but not exc 1mtr depth, 800 mm wide including making good existing surface with 150 mm thick PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- The tenderer shall take into consideration for following points while quoting rate for this item and the unit rate is deemed to be inclusive for :- (i) Earth work and excavation in any type of soil (ii) Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc. 25 cm thick ,complete all as specified and as directed. (iii) Removing excavated material out side MD land. (iv) Laying of any type/any bore of pipe in trenches including taking down existing unserviceable pipe. Supply of pipe shall be measured and paid separately (v) 150 mm thick PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in road to make good existing disturbed surfaces.

Supply only of GI pipe light grade for cable protection of size 100mm bore with fittings, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour in repair for 3 ½ core 240 Sqmm XLPE insulated heavy duty electric cable with aluminium multi stranded conductor 1100 volts grade served with an inner sheathing of PVC tape armoured with galvanised steel wire or tape and overall sheathed laying in trenches/cable ducts, fixed to wall/pole, complete all as specified and directed. Supply and fix 4 Pole MCCB, 415 volts,fixed type, 400 Amp, 50 Hz, with rupturing capacity 36 KA with thermal & magnetic setting with extended terminals, replacement to LT panel/ Feeder pillr box by connecting lugs with busbar including mounting arrengments i.e. screws,bolt, nut, washers etc including taking out of old unserviceable MCCB etc, complete all as specified and directed.Make : Indo asian/L&T/ Havells

Supply, installation, commissioning and testing of factory assembled, floor mounted, free standing type tested LT Feeder pillar panels, with canopy, as per electrical specifications for outdoor installation to be made of IP65 Polycarbonate modular enclosures. The enclosures made of polycarbonate, should be weather/vermin proof, anti -acid, anti-corrossive, UV resistance in accordance with IEC 61439-1, fire retardant and self extingushing in accordance with IEC 60695-2-11, UL subject 94 for flammability V-0, should pass glow wire test for 960 degree in accoardance with 60695-2-11.Degree of protection against mechanical load should be IK08 (5 Joule) in accordance with IEC 62262,IP65 in accordance with IEC-60529 and IEC- 60439-1, should have dielectric properties, RoHS complaints & Halogen free. The manufacturer of boards/panels shall submit a copy of type test reports as per above mentioned norms either from UL/ERDA/CPRI/NABL labs in india.The panel should be modular and compartmentalized in construction with opaque and transparent doors, properly tightened to base with theromoplastic screws having sealing gaskets of extruded silicon rubber to withstand adverse weather effects. Material and labour for Boring of holes under road, pavement hard standings by trenchless technology using ultra sound technique and necessary machine including supply of HDPE pipes upto 100 mm dia suitable for 0.4 Mpa working pressure, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour in repair for 3 ½ core 185 Sqmm XLPE insulated heavy duty electric cable with aluminium multi stranded conductor 1100 volts grade served with an inner sheathing of PVC tape armoured with galvanised steel wire or tape and overall sheathed laying in trenches/cable ducts, fixed to wall/pole, complete all as specified and directed. Material and labour in repair for 3 ½ core 120 Sqmm XLPE insulated heavy duty electric cable with aluminium multi stranded conductor 1100 volts grade served with an inner sheathing of PVC tape armoured with galvanised steel wire or tape and overall sheathed laying in trenches/cable ducts, fixed to wall/pole, complete all as specified and directed. Material and labour in repair for making straight through joint with suitable jointing kit consisting of water proof adhesives for UG cable of size 3.50 core 120 Sqmm to 185 Sqmm, complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting of burnt/ damaged cables from panels/ junction boxes etc, cutting out the burnt out ends, making new end joints by supply and fixing new aluminium lugs/ insulation tape etc and reconnecting using new nuts/ bolts/ washer etc and restoring three phase and neutral in the junction box, complete all as specified and as directed for the cable size from 120 Sqmm to 240 Sqmm 3.5 core of underground LT armoured cables. Note :- Earth work required for extending the incoming/ outgoing cable in junction box/ panel board etc shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

Supply and fix 4 Pole MCCB, 415 volts, fixed type, 250 Amp, 50 Hz, with rupturing capacity 36 KA with thermal & magnetic setting with extended terminals, replacement to LT panel/ Feeder pillr box by connecting lugs with busbar including mounting arrengments i.e. screws,bolt, nut, washers etc including taking out of old unserviceable MCCB etc, complete all as specified and directed.Make : Indo asian/L&T/ Havells

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising of 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation including taking down existing one, complete all as specified and directed.. The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 08 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.

(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor along with the sample approval

(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH value should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.

(vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm shall be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end (copper strip upto 7.5 RM shall be considered in unit quoted rate and extra will be measured and paid separately).

(vii) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of departmental and user representative and report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concerned.

(viii) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(ix) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.

(x) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.

(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.

(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained.

(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing for each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor from final bill for the guarantee period.

(xiv) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .

(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.

(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.

(xvii) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.

(xviii) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bounded rod to ensure genuineness of material.

(xix) Sign board of mild steel sheet 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing shall be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

Material and labour for Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 7.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm for each electrode pit complete including taking down old unserviceable pit cover of any decription all as specified and directed. Make : Model SEPC 250 of SAFE TRODE or equivalent in Snaga/ Cubes 6 Global

S&F in repair copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing old unserviceable copper strip etc, complete all as specified and directed. Note : - All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

Note :- An amount of Rs 68,515.00 on account of credit schedule for schedule 'A' part II shall be deducted from the total amount of BOQ to arrive at the contract sum.
