Rehabilitation and Improvements of Lower Bhavani (Bhavanisagar) Dam in Sathyamangalam Taluk of Erode District Under DRIP-II (Civil, Electrical and Basic facilities)

Cleaning and scraping the leached lime deposited in the left side surface of concrete portion, Collection point of "V" Notches (entire water way) of Infiltration gallery, using hand buffing machine/manual labours. Complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Cleaning the existing leached lime deposited in the Porous Drainage hole in the infiltration gallery by using High pressure water jet technology with the help of special execution arrangement like spinning or rotatory head nozzles with the help of stiff holding water membrane to the entire depth, which operating upto 1000 pressures bars. If any cases of multilayer of deposition that will be removed by layer by layer to took off. Complete complying with all necessary arrangements like scaffolding / work platforms, labour charges and all tools and tackles with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Reaming of foundation drainage holes: Reaming of existing vertical / inclined drainage holes of 75mm diameter inside the gallery by suitable reaming method from drainage gallery floor to drainage hole bottom inclusive of all machineries, equipments, consumables, other materials required for the work and also labour charges for operation, cleaning the drainage holes etc. transportation charges for machinery and shifting the same to different location etc. Complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Inclined drilling inside the gallery for curtain hole with diamond drill bit AX size using single tube core barrel in the reinforced cement concrete and Random Rubble masonry to the required depth including cost of transportation charges of all materials, pumps, water line fuel and other consumable materials etc., to site and collection of core from the bore holes, arranging them in serial order in the gunny bags and numbering the same, as directed by the departmental officers and complying with technical specification.

Washing and cleaning the AX grout holes by means of sending water at different pressure until the return water turns out to be of the same character as the original water inserted without any forge in material complying with technical specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Conducting water permeability test in holes in rock, masonry / concrete portion in the drilled AX holes at different elevation in stage using packer method at required pressure in each elevation including cost of all assembly hire charges and other charge of labour and machinery complying with technical specification and as directed by the departmental officers

Grouting AX Size, grout 3600 holes up to bottom level at different stages or as directed by the Engineer in charge of the work for grouting in Random Rubble masonry and cement concrete portion in the drilled holes of different elevation in stages using packer method of required pressure in each elevation using fine cement of blains value of about 3500 mixed with 5% bentonite, including cost of cement, grouting assembly and other charges of labour and machinery as directed by the engineer in-charge of work and complying with technical specification. (during the grout hole being grouted have in the vicinity of the grout hole being grouted have to be continuously jet washed by the agency during the grout work).

Manufacturing, Supplying and Fixing of Stainless Steel Hand rails for staircase near wet riser using 50mm dia 304L Grade Stainless Steel pipe of 1.60mm thick will be provided with tubular supports made of 304L Grade Stainless Steel pipe of 25mm dia of 1.60mm thick welded to the railing. The supports will be grouted into the wall and provided with 93.00mm thick Stainless Steel circular base plate of 304 Grade. Working platform or scaffolding arrangement: Erecting a working platform for the entire downstream ogee portion using MS pipes of cup lock system kind and safety arrangements to carry out the below work procedure of surface preparation, cavity filling and flush pointing using high abrasion resistant material as described below and the cost includes mobilization and erecting of the scaffolding and after completion removing and demobilization of the materials and as directed by the departmental officers.

Jet Washing of Dam Body: Pressure washing of the downstream face of the dam & its appurtenance: Scraping and cleaning the downstream face of the dam and its appurtenance by cleaning and removing dirt, dust, bird droppings, grease oil, algae, fungus, monkey beats, vegetable growths etc. including washing the surface with the help of high pressure air-water jet machine, complete in all respect, including taking all precautions to safeguard structure, all as per direction of Engineer-in-charge by using winch and cradle (the rate is inclusive of all materials & labours involved)
