| 1 | Watering of whole lawn areas, landscaped areas, green strips, turfs, flower beds, plants, shrubs, creepers, trees using clear water procured from STPs/ ETPs/ CETPs maintained by Delhi Jal Board, Societies, Military Engineering Services, etc. for maintaining optimum moisture contents for best growth of plants & landscaped areas by engaging water tankers of minimum capacity 8000 ltrs. The contractor shall be required to engage water tankers of 8000 ltrs capacity per day for watering of plants/irrigation purposes. Water tankers should have proper spray system on the rear side to water/spraying water on roads. Water tankers should also be fitted with suitable motors to clean/ wash tree leaves thus the water tankers should be provided with suitable hose reel/ hose pipe for watering of plants. The vehicles should be provided with a driver & helper & all vehicles should be GPS enabled complete & quoted rates shall include making provisions of all above including provisions of a driver, helper (for watering), cost of fuel, lubricants , consumables all inclusive as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
(Note: Contractor has to engage minimum 3 or more water tankers on daily basis for irrigation purposes dedicated for this contract which shall be used specifically for irrigation purposes under this contract. | 6Complete designing, structural engineering, fabrication, anti-corrosive finishing, foundation grouting, filling, and planting of three-dimensional wired animal topiary structures across various locations. The internal structural skeleton must be constructed using heavy-duty, 12mm to 16mm diameter Mild Steel (MS) round pipes or solid rods bent precisely along anatomical contours using hydraulic tube benders to avoid kinks or structural flattening. This core armature is reinforced with 8mm to 10mm solid MS ribs spaced at 200mm to 300mm grid intervals, covered by a skin of 12-gauge Hot-Dip Galvanized Iron (GI) welded wire mesh (25mm x 25mm or 40mm x 40mm grid) that is continuously tack-welded to the frame. To withstand severe monsoon wind loads and prevent corrosion under constant moisture, the entire completed metal framework must be sandblasted, treated with an Epoxy Zinc-Phosphate primer, and finished with two coats of outdoor-grade, UV-resistant Polyester Powder Coating to a minimum dry film thickness of 80 microns. The structures are firmly anchored to the earth by extending the main vertical framework stubs 450mm to 600mm deep into independent foundation pits filled with M-20 Grade concrete (300 mm x 300 mm x 600 mm), finished with a sloped profile above ground level to shed water. Internally, the hollow cavities are lined with a heavy-duty 700 GSM coco-coir or geo-textile liner and packed tightly with a lightweight, highly water-retentive growing substrate consisting of 50% coco-peat, 30% vermicompost, and 20% local sandy loam soil blended with moisture-retaining hydrogel crystals. To ensure rapid, dense foliage coverage capable of thriving in Delhi’s extreme climate, the contractor must supply healthy, pest-free, well-rooted creepers established in 8-to-10 inch nursery polybags, featuring at least 4 healthy running vines of minimum 1m length. For large structures like elephants or giraffes, Combretum indicum (Madhumalti/Rangoon Creeper etc.) must be used due to its fast-growing, thick woody growth and colourful fragrant blooms. Medium-to-large structures require heat-resilient Bougainvillea glabra etc. for vibrant colour accents, while intricate or fast-track shapes must use the highly aggressive Ipomoea cairica (Railway Creeper etc.). For medium shapes like deer or peacocks, Thunbergia grandiflora (Bengal Clock Vine) is specified for its dense evergreen foliage and flexible stems that easily track wire curves. The contractor shall be fully responsible for Maintenance Period post-installation, encompassing regular watering, structural inspections, and the manual weaving of vines. | |||||
