Internal painting works and other miscellaneous repairs for various type of quarters in Anupuram Township during the year 2026 - 2027.
Plastering with Cement Mortar 1:3, 20mm thick including supplying and mixing of water proofing compound or approved make at the rate of 2 % (two percent) by weight of cement and finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement and including chipping the existing plastering, applying bonding agents, disposing the dismantled debris within 2 Kms lead etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing Kota stone work of 20-25mm thick polished, (premoulded and prepolished slab) machine cut for kitchen platforms, vanity counters, window sills, facias and similar locations or required size of approved shade, colour and texture laid over 20mm thick base cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) with joints treated with white cement mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, etc., including dismantling the existing IPS/Mosaic platform / dadoo, disposal of debris, rubbing, curing, finishing, providing holes of required diameter, providing opening to fix counter basins, providing grooves wherever required, polishing the surface etc., all complete at all levels as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Providing and fixing best quality Stainless Steel sink with Drain board of overall size 1040 x 510mm (Bowl depth 200mm) of make 'NIRALI / PRAYAG' or other approved equivalent make of 1mm thick Stainless Steel grade AISI-304 (18/8) as per IS-14283, including fixing over opening in RCC slab of platform or supplying and fixing CI bracket pair and placing the sink over the platform/bracket to correct line and level, basket type choke stop stainer, waste coupling with check nuts, providing flexible hose from waste coupling to Nahani trap or Waste line, finishing the platform surface with white cement or other approved grouting materials etc., all complete as per IS-14283 specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Replacing the old night latch by supplying and fixing in position of New Ultra Verti bolt XL+ of "Godrej" (1CK Texture Brown) or approved equivalent make operable by key from outside and by knob from inside with four keys including removing the old night latch and returning the damaged night latch to GSO stores, fixing the new vertibolt using retrofit adopter over the existing night latch hole, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Note: The lock shall be got approved by the Engineer before making bulk order)

Replacing the existing wood work by supplying, manufacturing and fixing of Teakwood frames and architraves for doors, windows, ventilators, etc., made out of best quality Class-II teakwood scantlings with necessary holdfast / anchor fasteners, wooden plugs and screws for fixing it to the various openings including removing the old door frame/shutter with all fittings, refixing the shutter to the new frame, finishing the sides with plastering white/colour washing to match with existing surface, painting the new wood with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer etc., and returning the retrieved old materials to GSO civil maintenance stores, etc., all complete as per the specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Applying anti-termite chemical for new wooden frames of windows / doors/ ventilators by spraying or brushing with two coats of Dursphan / Durmat or other approved equivalent make of anti-termite chemical at the ratio of 1:19 [one part of chemical and 19 parts of kerosene] over the wood and contact masonry surface, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and fixing in position single leaf Factory made flush door shutter of 25mm thickness of PVC integral foam sheet of make M/s. Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. (Ex-cel sheet) or other equivalent approved make of white colour for flush door shutter including providing recessions for hinges, fixing with following fittings over the door frame using required fasteners, finishing all edges with mixture of PVC powder & solvent for smooth finish, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. The door shutter shall be fixed with the following hardware fittings: - a) 4 Nos. of 75 mm long stainless steel butt hinges of GARG brand bearing ISI mark with suitable stainless steel screws. b) Two numbers of 125mm long anodised aluminium D handle of make Classic/Crown or approved equivalent as per IS - 208 bearing ISI mark with suitable CP screws. c) Two numbers of 75mm long anodised aluminium baby latch type/cranked type tower bolt with suitable CP screws. d) One number of 50mm long solid PVC door buffer with 75mm long CP screws. Note: - 1) All furniture fittings shall be of approved quality and make. 2) The rate quoted shall be inclusive of fixing of door shutters with required hardware fittings as detailed above. 3) The PVC Integral Foam shall be factory manufactured solid section of light weight sheet with fine & homogeneous closed cell structure with smooth, glossy, hard surface finish on both sides. The sheet shall have density of 500 - 600 Kg/Cum, water absorption less than 1% and tensile strength greater than 11 MPa. 4) The entire door shall be jointless shutter. 5) The sizes shall be approximately 700 mm x 2100mm, however exact dimensions shall be measured at site before manufacturing.

General Information for guidance of tenderers
Schedule of Quantities
The schedule of quantities is to be read for the purpose of pricing in conjunction with the special conditions, general rules for the guidance of contractors, conditions of contract, specifications, drawings, schedule of supply of materials and the appendices.
The prices inserted in the schedule of quantities shall be inclusive of value of the work described including all cost and expenses, which may be required in and for the construction of the work described together with the general risks, liabilities and obligations not forth or implied in the documents on which the tender is to be based.
The quantities stated are to be considered approximate only and the unit prices entered in the schedule of quantities and prices shall apply only to the actual quantities measured in the completed work in accordance with the specifications.
All the materials other than those shown in schedule of supply of materials in section VII are to be arranged by the contractor and his rates should account for the same.
Rates quoted for all items in this tender shall include cost of all materials including cement and steel. Department will not supply any materials other than materials stipulated in Section - VII of the tender and as such the rates quoted must be all inclusive.
If contractors need any clarification they are required to contact the ‘Head, CTC, CEG, GSO, Kalpakkam – 603 102, Chengalpattu district, Tamilnadu (Ph – 044 - 27481238 and 044-27480500 Extn. 84727, 85803) during office hours.
The contractor shall be responsible for supply of cement and procure Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to IS 269-2015 / Portland Pozzolona Cement conforming to IS: 1489-2015 and use it on works. Since the supply of cement by the department has been dispensed, all the clauses relevant to supply of cement by department in this tender document stands cancelled. The contractor shall purchase cement from the approved manufacturers only. The secured advance on cement shall be regulated as per Clause 10-B of conditions of contract. Secured advances on cement up to 90% of assessed price shall be paid to the contractor after indemnifying the Government and through insurance cover. The quantity of cement on which secured advance shall be paid will be restricted to the consignment of cement tested and passed in the test in department laboratory. Prior approval to be obtained from the Engineer for the quantities proposed to be purchased.
The contractor shall procure Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to IS 269-2015 / Portland Pozzolona Cement conforming to IS: 1489-2015 and use it on works. Ordinary Portland Cement, as required in the work, from reputed manufacturers of cement, having a production-capacity of one million tonnes per annum or more, such as A.C.C., L & T, J.P. Rewa, Vikram, Shri Cement, Birla Jute and Cement Corporation of India, etc., as approved by Ministry of Industry, Government of India, and holding license to use ISI certification mark for their product whose name shall be got approved from Engineer-in-charge. Supply of cement shall be taken in 50 Kg. bags bearing manufacturer’s name and ISI marking, samples of cement arranged by the contractor shall be taken by the Engineer-in-charge and got tested in accordance with provisions of relevant BIS codes. In case test results indicate that the cement arranged by contractor does not conform to the relevant BIS codes, the same shall stand rejected and shall be removed from the site by the contractor at his own cost within a week’s time of written order from the Engineer-in-charge to do so.
The cement shall be brought at site in bulk supply of approximately 50 tonnes or as decided by the Engineer-in-charge.
The cement Godown of having a capacity to store minimum of 2000 bags of cement shall be constructed by the contractor at site of work for which no extra payment shall be made from department. Double lock provision shall be made to the door of the cement godown. The keys of one lock shall remain with the Engineer in charge or his authorised representative and the key of the other lock shall remain with the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for the watch and ward the safety of the cement godown. The contractor shall facilitate the inspection of the cement godown by the Engineer-in-charge at any time.
The contractor shall supply free of charge the cement required for testing. The cost of tests shall be borne by the contractor.
The actual issue and consumption of cement on work shall be regulated and proper accounts maintained as provided in Clause 10 of the contract. The theoretical consumption of cement shall be worked out as per procedure prescribed in Clause 42 of the contract and shall be governed by conditions laid therein.
Cement brought to site and cement remaining unused after completion of work shall not be removed from site without written permission of the Engineer-in-charge.
