RESURFACING OF CERTAIN ROADS INCLUDING REPAIR OF ROAD FURNITURES AT CHAFB UNDER GE (AF) BANGALORE

Material & labour repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per item no. 1 here in above but making good by applying tack coat using paving bitumen @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 Sqm binded with 0.09 cum of stone chipping 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premix macadam, binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & labour for premix bituminous macadam, mixed with binder content (paving bitumen VG-30) 4% by weight of total mix laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for preparing black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen(VG-30) @ 5 kg per 10 Sqm of road surface complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) with 5.5 % binder content by weight of total mix using bitumen of grade VG-30 using 6 to 8% waste plastic by weight of bitumen content (only plastic confirming to low density polyethylene(LDPE), High density ployethylene(HDPE), PET and polyurethene confirm to the size passing 2.36 mm sieve and retained on 600 micron sieve shall be used) and not to be heated more than 180º C while mixing waste plastic mixing should be done using dry process as per para 6.1 of IRC : SP: 98-2013 before quoting the rates. The mix shall be laid with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 ton power roller and tandom vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cleaning the road surface of dirt,seals oil,greese and foreign materials etc and applying 2.5mm thick marking strips,dashes,arrows (Retro refective) of white or yellow colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully semi automatic thermo plastic paints applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propan tank heater and profiles shoe heater driven by operator on existing/new road surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note : Glass beads shall not be less than 300g/Sqm all as specified.

S & F in repairs cat eye's solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100 mm x 100 mm x 20 mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model no DA 972.0 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions. of colour white/red/yellow side provided with steel zinc plastered nail or dia 12 mm and length 120 mm by hammering complete all as specified and directed. Make : Greenlite/Gogia plastic/Green or equivalent as approved by GE.
