REPAIR/RESTORATION OF VARIOUS TYPES OF BEDS AND CERTAIN OTHER WOODEN FURNITURE ITEMS UNDER GE (EAST) MATHRA

Repair of under mentioned furniture items will be carried out as follows:- (a) Removal of existing unserviceable material carefully without disturbing the adjoining parts from furniture articles as mentioned in the schedule.Supply and fixing new parts as per given specification and drg after tightening the joints, pinning, screwing, nailing, wedging, glueing,providing hinges, placing every part in-tact including polishing/painting the entire article with standard workmanship and as directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge.All furniture items is to be painted /poilshed only after making the entire item intact by tightening the joints. (b) Work will be executed where the furniture exist in different User Units/Md accns of GE (East) Mathura including BSO's Furniture Yard as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (c) All Timber shall be of 1st class seasoned hard teak wood free from knots and cracks else specified in drg. (d) Anti-termite and anti-bug treatment shall be done before polishing the wooden items.

(e) M&L for melamine polish high gloss mate finish with spray machine applying shellac,wood filler,shelar etc after removing of existing polish making surfae smooth by sanding and grinding with standard workmanship as directed by EIC to the following furniture articles of MES pattern viz F/DB/FD/MAP series/TP or Similar items incl applying wax for depressed surface as well as washing with caustic soda wherever required before polishing all as specified and all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Shade of polishing/pinting will be directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge.

Head rest made of 16 mm plywood BWR (Make: Greenply/Archidply/Century ply/Kit ply) grade duly pasted with sunmica of thickness 0.80 mm on both sides and all the edges (shade as approved by GE/EIC) of Make: Greenply/ Archidply/Century ply and PVC beading 2mm thick shall be provided alround the edges fixed with edge banding machine and suitable adhesive complete all as specified and as directed.

Foot rest made of 16 mm plywood BWR (Make: Greenply/Archidply/Century ply/Kit ply) grade duly pasted with sunmica of thickness 0.80 mm on both sides and all the edges (shade as approved by GE/EIC) of Make: Greenply/ Archidply/Century ply and PVC beading 2mm thic provided alround the edges fixed with edge banding machine and suitable adhesive as shown on drawing complete all as specified and as directed.

Top with Ply top 12 mm thick BWR Grade as shown on drawing complete all as specified and as directed.

Long Rail as shown on drawing complete all as specified and as directed.

Head Rest MS Frame as shown on drawing complete all as specified and as directed.

Foot Rest MS Frame as shown on drawing complete all as specified and as directed.

Spot welding work wherever required complete all as specified and as directed..

M&L for Painting frame of the Bed Hard Steel with two coat of Black paint with spray machine over a coat of red oxide primer of approved quality after preparation of steel surface by grinding welding spot, sanding with sand emery paper and dusting the surface with clean cloth. The Bed Ply Top Steel frame shall be made smooth by applying metal putty on etched surface only where required complete all as specified and as directed.

CHARPOY FOLDING IP HARD TOP : FD-388 (R)

Top with Plywood 8 mm thick BWR grade plywood (Make: Greenply/Archidply/Century ply/Kit ply) fixed with 50mm long 6mm dia flat head nut, bolts and washers shown on drawing complete all as specified and as directed. Make - Greenply/Archidply/Century ply/Kit ply

PVC best quality shoes of dia 25mm and height 30mm shall be provided to legs of charpoy complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for painting frame of the Charpoy folding steel with two coat of Black paint with spray machine over a coat of red oxide primer of approved quality after preparation of steel surface by grinding welding spot, sanding with sand emery paper and dusting the surface with clean cloth. The Bed Ply Top Steel frame shall be made smooth by applying metal putty on etched surface only where required complete all as specified and as directed.

Spot welding work wherever required complete all as specified and as directed.

CHARPOY WITH HARD TOP : FD/MAP-II/01

Top with Plywood 12 mm thick BWR grade plywood (Make: Greenply/Archidply/Century ply/Kit ply) fixed with 50mm long 6mm dia flat head nut, bolts and washers as shown on drawing complete all as specified and as directed. Make - Kitply/Century/Archidply

Stiffeners of MS Square tube 25mmx25mm of 18 Guage to charpoy through welding as shown on drawing complete all as specified and as directed.

Welding work on broken parts of Chair Steel with 25 mm round MS conduite pipe of 1.6 gauge as per existing shapes & size and removing of existing faded paints/rust by scrapping and applying two coat of synthetic enamled paint over and including a coat of primer with spray machine complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for removal of UNSV seat & Back of Chair and S&F of Seat And Back of Chair With New Seat of 12 mm thick BWR Plywood ((Make: Greenply/Archidply/Century ply/Kit ply) covered with 75 mm U foam and best quality tapestry cloth inrespective as shown in drg. The back shall be 12 mm thick BWR plywood (Make: Greenply/Archidply/Century ply) fixed to framewith screwand covered with 50 mm thick U foam over shape and best quality of tapestry cloth. Seat and back fixed on frame with screw and including all minor repairs with weldiing to steel frame etc complete all as specified and directed. (Note - The Tapestary cloth shall be of ranging between Rs 175 to 195 per Meter and as per sample approved by GE).

M&L for removal of UNSV arm rest of chair and S&F of new arm rest of black integral Skinpolyurethanere inforced with MS insert and shall be scrathch and weather resistant complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement hard rubber shoes at the bottom of chair CB steel shown on drg complete all as specified and directed.

POLISHING a) Anti-termite and anti-bug treatment shall be done before polishing the wooden items. b) M&L for melamine polish high gloss/mate finish with spray machine applying shellac,wood filler,shelar etc after removing of existing polish making surfae smooth by sanding and grinding with standard workmanship as directed by EIC to the following furniture articles of MES pattern viz F/DB/FD/MAP series/TP or Similar items incl applying wax for depressed surface as well as washing with caustic soda wherever required before polishing all as specified and all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Shade of polishing/pinting will be directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge. c) Work will be executed where the furniture exist in different User Units at OTM/Md Accn under the jurisdiction of GE (Eest) Mathura including BSO's Furniture Yard as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
