SCH "A" PART-I (DG SET AND ALLIED WORKS)

Excavating in trenches, not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc not exceeding 10 sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.5m depth and getting out in any type of soil all as specified and as directed.

Earthwork is deemed to be carried out by manual method. However mechanised method may be adopted without any extra cost to the government.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Fine sieved excavated dry soil laid to required width of trench at bottom and top for cable cushioning all as specified and as directed.

(a) Punned thickness only shall be measured.

(b) The soil used shall be free from sharp grains and deletrious materials like dry / decayed plants etc.,

Common burnt bricks sub class "B" of old size, designation 50, laid dry in trenches with width equal to length of bricks across the cable for cable protection all as specified and as directed.

Taking out existing cable any type / cross section 120 sqmm and supply, laying, connecting and testing XLPE insulated, armoured, heavy duty electric cable with aluminium conductor, 1100 volts grade, in trenches / drawn through pipe / fixed on walls / bare in road crossings / paths / drains / ducts / floors / fixed on poles / equipments of size 3.5 core 120 sqmm complete all as specified and as directed.

(a) Earthwork, sand cushioning, protection for cable etc., as required shall be measured and paid separately.

(b) Lugs and glands shall be used appropriately wherever required while connecting cables to the panel board and the quoted rates are deemed be include for the same.

Taking up / down water mains of galvanised iron tubing including all fittings from trenches / walls / roof / floor etc., and removal from site under Sch of credit and provision of steel tubing, galvanised, light grade, with all fittings such as bends, elbows, tees etc., and laid in trenches / under roads / crossings etc., 80mm bore of pipe for cable protection complete all as specified and as directed.

Earthwork, cutting across roads etc., as required shall be measured and paid separately.

Taking up / down water mains of galvanised iron tubing including all fittings from trenches / walls / roof / floor etc., and removal from site under Sch of credit and provision of steel tubing, galvanised, light grade, with all fittings such as bends, elbows, tees etc., and fixed complete to walls and ceilings or laid in floors / fixed on poles including necessary clamps, clips, wall hooks, wooden plugs for fixing the pipes in position, 80mm bore of pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

Earthing complete with galvanised iron earth plate electrode 600mm X 600mm X minimum 6mm thick, with and including earthing of 32mm x 6mm GI strip protected by 40mm dia GI pipe light grade upto a length of 7.5m. The plate shall be buried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 metres below ground level with top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 metres below ground level, connected to earth lead as described here-in-before by means of bolts, nuts, washers and checknuts made out of galvanised iron or mild steel, earthing lead protected by as described here-in-before and connected to main switch board or main control board or electric pole all as shown on electrical plate No.3 of MES Sch Part-I including necessary earth work and excavation in any type of soil, plain cement concrete 1:3:6, type C1 chamber, reinforced cement concrete cover slab with locking arrangement and handle of 10mm dia MS round bars 450mm long, 1:2:4 type B1, 50mm thick with 8mm dia TMT bars at 140mm centre to centre both ways, GI pipe of bore 20mm medium grade for watering with funnel, wiremesh, salt, charcoal, lugs including testing complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, installation, commissioning and testing of silent type DG set complete with sound proof canopy, diesel engine driven generating set of microprocessor / relay based AMF built-in control panel, Output of 125 KVA at NTP, with 10 % overload capability in accordance with ISO-8528 and ISO-3046 AC 415 Volts, 3 phase, 4 wire 0.80 power factor directly coupled to diesel engine water cooled mounted on common MS fabricated frame with AVM pads weather proof as per CPCB norms, acoustic enclosure installed on a PCC hard standing , to be constructed by the tenderer as per manufactures’ recommendation ,with and including all excavation for PCC foundation, vibration dampers and other accessories comprising of ENGINE, ALTERNATOR, AMF CONTROL PANEL, GEN SET CONTROLLER, CONTROL SYSTEM AND MISC WORKS complete all as specified and as directed.

The brief requirement of the DG Set is given in the BOQ. The tenderer shall however read the same in conjunction with the particular specifications given here-in-after and rate quoted is deemed to include for all the provisions given therein.
