Special repair of lighting conductor/arrester and allied work at 2ASD (23FAD) at Mil Stn Beas under GE Kapurthala

Repair to the existing earthing (GI/copper plate earthig) with provision of new layers of back filling compound (BFC) and salt all as specified in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I, including cleaning of existing GI/Copper earth plate, conductors etc, connecting with new bolts, nuts and washers including replacement of watering pipe, funnel with wire mesh, earth lead and protection pipe including necessary testing on complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Excavation will be measured & paid under relevent item No. (ii) Watering pipe, funnel with wire mesh will be measured & paid under relevent item No.

Supply only funnel made out of aluminium sheet in conical shape, dia of the funnel should be similar to existing funnel complete all as specified and as diirected.

Supply only light grade GI pipe 20 mm dia for watering in earthing pit complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only light grade GI pipe 40 mm dia for protection of earthing lead, water piping complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only salt suitable for earthing pit complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing BFC (Back filling compound chemical) in 25 kg of bag, earth conductivity enhancing compound to level chemical the existing chemical earth pit including taking out mud from existing earth pit and cleaning complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in repair for PCC earth pit cover and supply and fixing/laying of prefabricated RCC earth pit cover of size 60cm x 60cm X 50mm made using RCC 1:2:4 type B0 (using 12.5mm graded stone aggregate) and 8mm dia Fe-500 grade TMT reinforcement bars @ 140mm center to center on both ways, including two nos 8mm dia TMT bar handles embedded into pit cover complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for repair of earth pits of internal dimensions 60cm x 60 cm x 60 cm making good disturbed/dismantled brick work in cement mortar (1:4) plastering surfaces in cement mortar 1:6, 15mm thick and PCC coping in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 (a) M&L for brick work using sub class 'B' (old size bricks) in cement mortar 1:4 (b) M&L for rendering 15 mm thick including plastering inside and outside of earthpit (c) Excavation in any type of soil, Returning, Filling in and Removal of surplus Spoil disposal to out side MoD landcomplete all as specified and directed.

M&L in replacement for "Test Point Terminal Block" made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of having size 75 X 75 X 25 mm drilled and screwed by providing 3 nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexazonal head screw and connected to Copper/ Aluminium / GI strips complete housed in a PVC junction box after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) The test points will be properly fixed on epoxy insulators. Cost of epoxy insulators are inclusive of unit rate quoted by the contractor. (ii) PVC junction box will be paid and measured separately under item .

S&F of 4 digit electromechanical lightning event counter in weather proof enclosure. The counter should give the number of strikes intercepted by lightning arrestercomplete all as specified and directed.
