Resurfacing of helipad ground P-61 and approached road at HQ Sect RR under AGE (I) CIF (K)

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag or mechanical air compressor to remove loose dirt etc, and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat an existing black top surfaces with bituminous primer @ 05 Kg per 10Sqm using paving bitumen of grade VG-10 of road surface by sprayer operated hot pressure mechanism and providing, laying, spreading bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete (SDAC) 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using 10 to 12 tonne power roller and vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Notes :- (a) Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be prepared in central computerised hot mix plant. (b) Design mix shall be got done by the contractor at his own expenses from NABL laboratory as decided by GE/AGE(I). (c) Contractor shall quote his rates by considereing binder contents @ 5.5% of total mix by weight, however in case of any variation in weight of binder contents on lower side as per actual mix design, the same shall be ajusted @ Rs. 80.00 Per Kg of bitumen.

M&L repair to potholes, area not exceeding 1.0 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming and applying a tack coat with bituminous primer @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm of paving bitumen of Grade VG-10, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm using paving bitumen of grade VG-30, binded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), depth of potholes exceeding 30mm, complete all as specified and as directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 Sqm and thickness or depth exceeding 50mm but not exceeding 100mm and removing thereof as accounted under credit, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L premixed bituminuous macadam using 4% binder content of paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 by weight of total mix (consolidated thickness 75mm or less), laying with mechanical paver and rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with using 10 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Notes :- (a) Premixed Bituminuous Macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (b) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined follwing the Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs. 80.00 Per KG of bitumen.

M&L applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer @ 10 KG/ 10 Sqm of road surfaces using paving bitumen of Grade VG-10, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc and the like not exceeding 10 cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and directed.

M&L preparation of unsurfaced water bound macadam (WBM) by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags or mechanical air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and directed.

M&L 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM granite, trap or basalt with course aggregate of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 2 mm size), spread rolled and consolidated to gradient with 10 to 12 tonne power road roller materials and camber required complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete in ground floor and paving not exceeding 15 cm thick (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L precast cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in kerb stone set in cement mortar 1:4 one side of road including necessary excavation and embedding in ground to be required depth as directed and atempting around after filling earth and removing surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m complete all as specified and directed.
