REPAIR MAINTENANCE OF STREET LIGHTS AVIATION LIGHTS FOCUS LIGHTS HIGH BAY LIGHTS AND CONNECTED WORKS MAIN CAMP AT AF STATION TAMBARAM

Taking down the unserviceable any street/security light/flood light fitting LED of any type, make and wattage from the pole alongwith fixing arrangements complete, upto 400 watt capacity from any height of pole or building, servicing, cleaning thoroughly of the fitting including bracket, arm and pole fixing arrangement to make the fitting serviceable and refixing in position and testing for satisfactory functioning complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note for item 1 : (a) Spares for LED Driver shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this schedule. All other items of minor spares such as holders, PVC insulated copper conductor cable with in fitting of wiring and necessary bolts and nuts shall be deemed to be included in the item rate and no extra payment shall be allowed.

(b) The contractor has to depute his accredited representative with one electrician and helper as demanded by department to carry out jointly checking of street/security lights and cable fault in the entire area under AF Stn Tambaram (Main Camp) to ascertain the serviceability and repairs required. The item is deemed to be inclusive of the same.(c) The rate quoted deemed to included for cleaning of vegitation on the LT pole and Electric supply made available at the point of street light and necessary. LT jumpers shall be measured and paid separately. (d) The measurement for payment shall be made as per the actual replacement of accessories. (e) No extra cost will be paid to the contractor for T&P and tradesmen as required. (f) Taking down the fittings as required for maintenance for cleaning or minor repairs such as screws wires taking down etc the cost of same is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (g) The contractor shall depute one electrician and two helpers on all working days in MES complaint cell for attending the complaint regarding the street/Security lights and any emergcy electric work. (h) Contractor shell be insure emergcy complaint to be attended in Sunday/ Holiday also if contractor not attend the complaint within 4 hrs panelty will be imposed as per norms (j) Contractor or his accredited representative is responsible to receieve complaints from JE I/C and feed back of the same after completion of the job on daily basis.

M&L for removing old/burnt out jumper connection in binding with HT/LT lines from position including re-binding the same with new binding wire of size 3.25mm aluminium wire complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtr deep and not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and getting out in hard/dense soil for complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Returning filling in soil including providing cable cushioning with riddled earth obtained from excavation, leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick over the cushion layer complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for brick protection to cable using old size sub class 'B' bricks, laid flat, dry butt jointed, laid lengthwise perpendicular to the axis of cable complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Relaying of old serviceable bricks of any size removed from old cable trenches laid across trenches for cable protection complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:4:8, type D-2, (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) for foundation, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6, type C-1, using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation/ coping of poles including necessary form work and finishing the exposed concrete surfaces even and fair for Pole cooping with white wash complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
