M&L in repairs of dismantling the strip from earth pit and testing of earth pit to be done as per fall of potential method mentioned in IS-3043 with digital earth resistance tester to check the healthiness of earthing system in and including replacement earth pit nut bolts with brass nut bolts as per required size and record should be kept on ledger duly signed by user representative, JE concerned and contractor and the same shall be submitted to Engr in charge for counter signature complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Testing of earth pit shall be done as and when required basis as directed by Engineer-in-Charge from time to time.

M&L in repairs of physical inspection for earthing health and to check the healthiness of earthing system whether the resistance under safe limits of resistance IF higher than the permissible then recharging of earthing should be done immediately with carbon based low resistivity compound 0.001 ohm meter recharging of existing earth pit by excavating soil up to electrode depth approx 10 feet by manual drilling (post hole) method and filling with backfill compound maintenance free earthing compound with 2 bags of 20 Kg to achieve desired resistance value less than 1 ohms in and including water up to top of the excavated bore, backfilling of earth pit, measuring the value after refilling pit and testing of earthing after recharging, reconnecting grounding electrode conductor and earth grid applying petroleum jelly etc. to bolted joints to minimise corrosion for the pipe earthing or plate earthing then gel should be used to lower down the resistance complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Notes for sl item No 2: (i) In case of satisfactory results not found or results degraded during one year of recharging of the earthing, the same shall be made good/recharged again in order to have required test results within contract/Defect liability period without any extra cost to the department. (ii) Contractor will mark each earthing with CA No., date of recharging of earthing on MS sheet size 18"x12" x 1/8" with suitable mounting arrangement on wall or on ground duly painting blue over a coat of Red Oxide primer and letter/figures of words written with white colour. Quoted rate will be deemed to have been included the cost of the same. Make of backfill compound: Akaltech/Curenite

Supply and fixing in replacement 32x6 mm Copper strip in short pieces on surface or in recess for all interconnecting, in and including taking out worn out and damaged strip complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement 25x3.15 mm Copper strip in short pieces on surface or in recess for all interconnecting, in and including taking out worn out and damaged strip complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for copper brazing (welding) at site to connect loop copper earthing strip of any size after tightening by nut, bolt, washer, check nuts of brass complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note: Copper brazing shall be done upto 20 mtr height. Necessary tool/plant and ladder required for working upto 20 mtr height shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for above item.

M&L for GI brazing (welding) at site to connect loop GI earthing strip of any size after tighten by nut, bolt, washer, check nuts, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note: GI brazing shall be done upto 20 mtr height. Necessary tool/plant and ladder required for working upto 20mtr height shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for above item.

M&L for dismantling of old existing earthing PCC earthing pit with cover and S&F new polyplastic earth pit cover heavy duty with sign board triangular shape, making connection of earth strip including minor adjustment, construction of rectangular of size 0.75X0.75X0.50 (LXBXH) brick boundary alongwith necessary plastering work with specified colour coding around poly plastic earth pit cover, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L in replacement of providing Chemical Earthing with copper earth plate 900mm x600mm x 5mm thick including accessories, and providing masonry enclosure with cover plate having locking arrangement and watering pipe etc complete with alternate layer of salt crystal and charcoal and Magnesium sulphate crystal as specified below:- (a) The earth pit should be of minimum 12 ft depth and 4 ft width (b) The copper plate should be of 3 ft x 2ft and 5mm thick. (c) The copper strip should be of 32mmx6mm dimensions (cross section) up to 7.5 mtr (d) The quantity used should be:- (i) Charcoal - 250 Kg (ii) Salt crystal - 200 Kg (iii) Magnesium sulphate crystal - 100 Kg (e) 3/4 inch dia GI pipe of enough length to reach just above copper plate fitted with funnel, meshed along with cap and running water should be provided for keeping the soil wet approx one mtr GI pipe be kept out side for connection of running water. (f) The pit shall be constructed in PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using (using 20mm grade stone aggregate) RCC slab shall be provided in RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm grade stone aggregate) 50 mm thick pit cover reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bars 75mm c/o both ways MS handle 12mm dia, PGI funnel wire mesh and GI watering pipe of 20mm bore (light grade) and earth lead protection pipe up to 7.5 mtr 50 mm bore (light grade) shall be including the item.

M&L in replacement of Earthing complete with galvanized mild steel earth plate electrode of size 600 mm X 600 mm X 6 mm buried directly in ground (in vertical position) earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below the normal ground level with the top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 m (B.G.L.) and connected to GI earth strip 32X6 mm dia GI earth wire as earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron including PCC (1:2:4) type B-1, precast RCC cover slab with suitable handle made of 12 mm round bar including necessary excavation & earth work in any type of soil, 20 mm dia medium grade galvanised steel tube for watering with one end fixed with cast iron funnel and wire mesh, 40mm bore light grade galvanised steel tubing upto 7.5 mtr length for drawing earth lead wire protection common salt, charcoal etc complete all as shown in EP No 3 of SSR Part-I 2009 and testing on completion and dismantling old one complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for earthing complete with electrode shall be 2 Nos copper plate of size 600x600x6mm inter connected with 25x3 copper strip of length 1.5 mtrs and in centre shall be rod electrode as per UL 467:16mm dia solid rod with 250 microns copper coating of length 3 mtr with suitable connector for lower resistance. Alternate layers of soil & curec+ or equivalent (03 kgs bag x 2), make as per IEEE 80: 2000, Clause 14.5D, maintenance free earthing system to give earthing resistance value of < 1Ω . The soil shall be mixed with backfill CURENITE (25kgs x 2 bags). Copper electrode's should be solid rod and surrounded with highly conductive and non corrosive nature (pH value certified) and covered with Poly plastic earth pit cover. Further electrodes of GI pipe at least 30mm dia shall be interconnected in paralled fashion in case low ohmage is not achievable, polyplastic pit cover enclosure shall be provided in and including boundary for poly plastic pit cover of size 1.25x1.25x0.3 mtrs of brick work duly plaster and painted as per colour coding. All certificates should be NABL LAB and CPRI certified, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note for Srl Item No. 10.00: The contractor will render a guarantee of 24 years for satisfactory working/effectivness of earthing from the certified date of completion from manufacturer firm/executing agency. The guarantee amount towards effectiveness of earthing equal to 5% of cost of item in BOQ in the form of FDR in favour of GE (AF) Tughlakabad shall be furnished by the contractor. The matured amount after period of 10 years (which is maximum period of FDR) again will be guarantee amount for next 10 years and thereafter i.e. after 20 years matured amount will be guarantee amount for next 04 years. Matured amount after 20 years will be given as guarantee amount for next 04 years to meet cost of inflation for time to time which will be released after satisfactory expiry of guarantee period.

S&F in replacement of test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of size 75x75x25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screw fixed inside cubical shape enclosure made out of CRCA sheet 2 mm thick with front detachable cover, anodized screws, cap washers 4 Nos to be mounted on wall with wooden plugs and screws 4 Nos duly painted inside and outside by two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of primer over all dimension of enclosure 200x150x100 mm (depth) complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

S&F in replacement of lightening conductor air termination, single pointed copper rod of 12 mm long including fixing of MS clamps with nuts, bolts and screws complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Repairs of earth pit cover including PCC (1:2:4) work, brick work and excavation and levelling/returning filling in of earth surface complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L in replacement of treatment of existing high resistance earthing pit by pouring of salt water solution made of 20 ltrs of water and 5 Kg of salt in the trench to be prepared all around the existing earth pit with radius 60 cm from the centre of the earth pit to the centre of the trench with a depth not less than 30 cm below ground level all as directed and specified by the Engr-in-charge and levelling/returning filling of earth surface complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L in replacement of physical inspection & servicing for fire alarm system health and to check the healthiness of fire alarm system whether the testing and commissioning of intelligent addressable hooter cum strobe to provide audio visual indication of smoke or fire, testing and commissioning of intelligent addressable manual call point resettable type, testing and commissioning of intelligent addressable control module complete and conforming to EN 54, BS-5839 complete and testing and commissioning of intelligent analogue addressable monitor module complete and conforming to EN 54, BS-5839 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply, install, testing & commissioning of intelligent analogue addressable smoke detector as per IS -11360 with certified EN-45 addressable type having capacity to detect smoke based on RLED and light sensing photo diode smoke based on shock resistant thermister, the detectors shall be programmable to match specific hazard profiles from control panel, The detectors shall have remote sensitivity measurement capacity with multi colour detector LED status and field cleanable chamber, The detector shall be dust and insect resistant and should use state of the art microprocessor circuitry with error check, detector self diagnostics and supervision programs complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of intelligent addressable hooter cum strobe to provide audio visual indication of smoke or fire including necessary fittings complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.
