Visual Survey: Visual inspection for surface damages, damage classification. The visual inspection shall largely cover areas of high distress, corrosion, moisture, leakage, abnormal variations in structure, algae and fungus growth, efflorescence, etc. Visual inspection would be documented in the form of worksheets, photographic records, and distress over drawings. Simple tools and instruments like camera with flash light, magnifying glass, binoculars, chisel and hammer, etc shall be used for measuring the distresses as per site requirement.

Report submission with Test Results Interpretation: Preparing and submitting comprehensive report consisting of findings from visual inspection, test data, interpretation of results, conclusions and final recommendations along with sketch indicating the location of the test. Report does not include the repair scheme/DPR or BOQ related to the project.

Repairing Methodology and retrofitting scheme: For structural serviceability and safety, periodic maintenance scheme, futuristic protection of structure including comment on the stability of the roof. The recommendation for structural repair and rehabilitation to the structures shall have detailed technical specifications, materials to be used and design details, vulnerability indices and order of urgency to repair.

DPR and BOQ: Agency shall prepare and submit the DPR in 2 copies which include all diagnosis results (if any), interpretations, conclusion, site photographs, BOQ and conceptual scheme for Rehabilitation/ retrofitting works (feasible and economic options) with Rate analysis, material specification, execution drawing for strengthening of structure along with technical Specifications and periodic inspection and maintenance manual.

UT Thickness for Steel Section Size Assessment: Thickness of a solid/hollow element is measured by UT gauged which is principled on the time taken by the ultrasound wave to return to the surface as per ASTM E797 / E797M. It is useful in section detailing of steel members and it ascertains the section loss due to ongoing corrosion in all types of steel elements. It is used to cross verify the elements whether same drawing section drawings were followed during construction or not.

Ration percentage of Binding Mortar/plaster by chemical test:- Binding material (mortar) or surface plaster properties to be evaluated for determination of percentage of constituent elements (sand:cement or Lime: Surkhi or other binding particle percentage), composition details of plaster/ binding mortar, estimated compressive strength of bindingmaterials, fineness of mortar and grade or type of binding mortar/surface plaster following IS 1905.

Brick/Masonry unit compressive Strength: To check the compressive strength of burnt brick/other masonry unit (like stone/ACC block/brick tiles etc.) as per IS 3495 :1992 part I, IS 1077 : 1992 and knowing the Water Absorption capacity of brick as per IS 1077: 1992, IS 3495 :1992 part 2
