CONSULTANCY FOR STRUCTURAL AUDIT OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAY NO 3 NARAIANA DELHI CANTT UNDER AGE B/R-I ( GE CENTRAL) DELHI CANTT-10

Consultancy for carrying out structural Audit of Kendriya Vidalaya No. 3 Building located at Naraina Delhi Cantt. The bldg is in occupied state being used for Admin/Class room/Lab & other educational purpose. The plinth area of the bldg is approx 7665.0 Sqm and is in G+1 configration. Structural audit will be carried out through following tests:-

Visual Survey:- Visual inspection of surface damages, cracks, flaking, discoloration, local weakness etc and their damage classification. Simple tools and instruments like camera with flash light, magnifying glass, binoculars, gauge for crack width measurement chisel & hammer etc shall be used for measuring the distress. The visual inspection shall largely cover areas of high distress, cracks & their location, moitsure, leakage, abnormal variations in structure, alage & fungus growth, efflorescence etc. Visual inspection would be documented in the form of worksheets, photographic records and drawing etc.

Rebound Hammer Test:- for detemining the estimated compressive strength of concrete and uniformilty of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per IS 13311 (Part-2)-1992, ASTM C 805-02 BS 6089:1981 & BS 1881: Part-202. BSEN:13791. Also establishing correlation between rebound hammer & otehr confirmatory test for estimated in-situ strenght of concrete if required all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test:- For ascertaining the quality of concrete, soundness & density of concrete, uniformity of concrete in terms of density as per IS 13311 (Part-I) 1992. ASTM C 597-83, BS 6089:1981 & BS 1881: Part 203 & BSEN : 13791 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Linear Polairzartion Test:- For analysis of rate of diameter loss in steel bar due to corrosion in reinforcement as per BRE DIGEST 434 Half Cell potential complete all as specified and directed by Enginner-in-Charge

Structural Stability Analysis for KV-3 bldgs:- To examine the structural deficiencies and assess overall structural stability of the structure by using the results of NDT and other tests listed above & recommend the suitabily/feasibily of usage of structure for intended use and its remaining life.

Report, Interpretation & Recommendation:- Preparing & submitting comprehensive report consisitng of findings from visual inspection, test data interpretations of results, conclusions & final recommendations on structural stability of building along with sketch indicating the location of the test carried out in four copies duly binded properly. The report should bring out the useful remaining life of structure for usage as school building & recommend rehabilitation if required.

Note: (i) Final report shall be vetted & certified by IIT/Delhi Institute of Technology/Govt Engineering College in Delhi for Structural soundness & stability/feasibility. (ii) Explore the feasibility for strengthening the bldg structure & offer recommendation. (iii) Rate quoted are deemed to be inclusive of any other test required for assessing the structural soundness of the building complete all as specified and directed by GE (iv) Nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (v) Rates quoted are inclusive of all Taxes, Transport, Tools & Plants Skiled/Unskilled Manpower and Lab Charges required for completion of the work.
