GENERAL NOTES
CONTRACTOR shall ensure that the rates quoted for execution of electrical works take into account all requirements, services, activities & responsibilities defined as forming part of CONTRACTOR’s scope in the Tender Document / Contract. Special attention shall be given to include the efforts necessary to implement & comply with the relevant safety practices to be followed for the electrical works at the Plant Site, as per the applicable HSE documents.

INSTALATION OF TRANSFORMER -
Handling, shifting from site-store / yard to the installation location, unpacking, erection, alignment, assembling and installation of assemblies / sub-assemblies, assembling and installation components / devices supplied separately - as recommended by MANUFACTURER / applicable construction documents, filtration of oil, touch up painting, stenciling with paint on equipment enclosures as required and other associated work to ensure the completeness of installation work Testing and pre-commissioning activities, commissioning assistance as required by MANUFACTURER's supervisor is included in the scope. Minor civil work such as chipping, grouting for fixing of associated equipment / assemblies and replastering the same as per the site requirement (including the supply of consumable material for the same) is included in the scope. Laying (using cable pulling by motorized winch with torque limits) ,Testing & Commissioning of HV/MV/LV Power, Control & FO Cables. Horizontal & vertical laying of cables of different voltage grade and types in ready trench/trays/Racks, underground, supported on structures, pull through pipe sleeves, clamping to column wall or structure using GI spacers and saddles (at an interval of 300 mm), Installation & supply of anodize Aluminum / Stainless steel / lead strip number tags for certified trefoil clamps of non‐magnetic material for 1C cables, overhead & buried cables respectively. Installation & supply of G.I saddles, saddle bars & GI Clamps, clamping of cables on trays & necessary hardware's. Cables laid in trays shall be dressed and clamped using GI Clamps at every 750 mm. Scope shall include opening the RCC slabs/Covers from Cable Trenches before laying and replacing them after laying. The motorized winch required for cable pulling shall be arrange by contractor and no separate payment for the same will be made. The cable laying work shall include transportation of cable drums from owner's issue point to the place of installation by contractor's own lifting & transportation arrangement, unpacking, cable cutting as per actual length measurement & cable schedule/cable drum schedule, return of unused cable/drums to the owner's store & removal of empty drum to Owner's Scrap Yard, including all labour and materials, complete as per approved drawings, specifications of this tender and directions of Engineer‐in‐charge. Contractor shall provide necessary assistance for CEA approval, if required. INSTALLATION OF HV CABLE END TERMINATION
Termination of XLPE insulated Indoor type , Unearthed /Earth grade HV cables of following sizes, including cutting and stripping of cable insulation, crimping the lugs onto the conductor, executing termination using termination kit (Heat Shrinkable/ Push‐on type), restoration of the insulation, fixing of cable glands (including drilling of suitable holes in equipment for fixing purpose), connection of leads, clamping, including anti tracking compound, ferrules, clamps, Aluminum tags, clamping of cores and earthing of armour, installation & supply of PVC shrouds and PVC Hoods of required size for outdoor terminations including all labour and materials complete as per approved drawings, specification of this tender and direction of Engineer‐in‐charge. The contractor to also arrange suitable Stop Plugs for unused entry, if required. SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF LIGHTNING PROTECTION
Supply of materials Handling, shifting from site-store / yard to the installation location, unpacking, erection, alignment, assembling and installation of special lightning protection system - as recommended by MANUFACTURER / applicable construction documents, and other associated work so as to ensure the completeness of installation work. Testing and precommissioning activities, commissioning assistance as required by MANUFACTURER's supervisor is included in the scope. MANPOWER RATE
Providing technical assistance during pre-commissioning / commissioning phase by deploying different categories of skilled personnel as listed below .The quoted man-months rates shall be inclusive of all wages, overtime for working beyond normal hours including holidays / weekly off, travel / accommodation expenses, including PPE’s, all tools & tackles etc and other costs which the bidder shall be entitled to claim by way of Man-Month Rates for the services. Prior to deployment of personnel at site, Contractor shall submit the detailed CVs of such persons proposed to be posted at site to Owner for concurrence & approval. The Owner and Contractor shall jointly maintain a record of all such personnel chargeable at Man-Month Rates deployed each day which shall be used as the basis for calculating payments due to the Contractor for the services covering assistance during pre-commissioning & commissioning phase. For deployment covering part of the month, payment shall be made on pro-rata basis considering 30 days in a month. Should the performance of any of Contractor’s personnel be found unsatisfactory by Owner, the replacement of such personnel shall be carried out by Contractor immediately.

Supply of paints and primers, preparation of surfaces and application of primer, intermediate and finish paints, identification (Line numbering), lettering, colour bands, colour coding etc. as specified including rubdown and touch up of shop primer wherever required, providing scaffolding for all heights, labour, material, tools and tackles, consumables supervision etc. to complete the work in all respects as per Technit painting job specification OSBL-0814-0000-JSD-2300-001_1, drawings and direction of Engineer-in-Charge for all types of uninsulated piping and insulated piping as specified including all pipes, fittings, flanges, supports, valves etc. Surface preparation by blast cleaning and application of first coat of primer (Ethyl Zinc Silicate) shall be done in fabrication yard prior to erection. The Contractor's scope for Hook up connections with existing lines (irrespective of size) as per process requirements/ hook up Sketches /Piping GADs in the existing Offsite areas & Process unit areas. It shall include transportation of all piping materials & all other free issue materials (FIM)from owner's storage point to work site/shop including raising store requisitions for issue of material in the prescribed format & maintaining an account of the materials received from owner's stores & reconciliation of all Owner supplied free issue materials (FIM), Fabrication of plain & threaded nipples from pipes, stub in connections with or without reinforcement, including supply of all consumables, supply of necessary materials, providing support for new piping, modified piping, change of existing supports / additional supports in existing piping as indicated in the Drawings or as required by the Engineer-in-charge. Contractor Scope includes Pre-fabrication, cutting, welding in existing lines. Contractor scope also includes erection of valves with Flange and Blind flange, statutory approval of piping wherever required, obtaining hot work permit from the client, fabrication including cutting, edge preparation (inclusive of grinding the edges of pipe, fittings, flanges etc. to match the mating edges of uneven/ different thickness wherever required), fit-up, preheating wherever required, welding, laying, erection, supporting, cleaning & flushing by water/compressed air, non-destructive testing, positive material identification, hydrostatic test, pneumatic test or any other type of test as specified, draining, drying by compressed air, bolt torquing, flushing (including steam flushing), complete in all respects at all elevations (providing scaffolding/ platforms as per requirement), of all piping required for successful erection & testing , providing lifting tools/ tackles, all normal & special equipment & gadgets, skilled/unskilled labor, specialists, supervisory staff, as per the standards, specification, approved drawings and provision of local barricading/ blanketing at hot work permit area at all levels and elevations as per safety measures & instructions of Engineer-in-charge.
For cooling water hook-ups & Fire water hook-ups Rates shall be inclusive of Excavation, Underground Tap-off & suitable wrapping and coating (as per applicable standard) for underground portion of lines. Rates for each Hook up point also shall be inclusive of 100% radiography in case of all butt welded joint & 100% DP/MP test in case of all fillet welded joints with hook-up complete in all respect as per Hook-up Isometrics. Sourcing of materials for hook-ups based on site data / information and checking for Hook-ups feasibility, removing & restoration of insulation of existing line where hook- ups will be executed. For IBR line/ hook ups, contractor to make required GADs/ Isometrics as required by local IBR authority to obtain approval. Sizes provided are of branch connection. Payment shall be made based on size of branch. Contractor to ensure the availability of latest Hook-up Isometrics before going for Execution.

EQUIPMENT ERECTION ON NEW FOUNDATION
In case of equipment directly reaching at Project erection site by Transporter Truck / Trailer, in that case unloading at site for erection Works is in the scope of Contractor within the quoted Price for equipment erection. Depressurization of Nitrogen from New equipment supplied by Vendor is also in the scope of Contractor. After erection of the equipment or stacking at any location at site, equipment must be under preserved condition i.e. nitrogen gas purging and maintenance of Nitrogen pressure in contractor scope until commissioning of the equipment. Nitrogen shall be provide by GMPL at plant B/L however, contractor have to made arrangement for filling from provided point. During the erection and alignment of the equipment, any minor alteration in other than pressure part if need to be carried out shall be done by contractor scope as per guidelines by engineer-In-charge.
Scaffolding: Contractor to prepare the erector plan in order to finalize the requirement of Scaffolding for erection of all the Equipment. Erection contractor to perform scaffolding for erection of all the external attachments like platform installation, ladder installation, insulation installation & Fireproofing, etc. Cost for the scaffolding to be included in Contractor scope. All necessary tools, tackles & machineries, work force, cranes, etc. are to be arrange by contractor. Any additional requirement of scaffolding for any of the activities like blinding, de-blinding, etc. until commissioning is included in Contractor's scope. Cost of these scaffolding is included in the base Quote. No additional payment will be provided to Contractor.

Laying, supporting, clamping, cutting, threading, bending & other similar works involved in fabrication of the impulse sample lines / SS tubes & fast loop for analyser Fixing of isolation valves & tube fittings etc as per process hook up provided by the site in-charge, as per Process hook-up . Replacement of Existing Tubes wherever required. Replacement of Existing Tube fittings wherever required. SS tube connection to the process / impulse pipe/ tube &, to the instruments. Cleaning / blowing & pressure test of the tubing. Fixing of fittings, isolation valves & tube fittings, Air Manifolds etc. Supports to be provided for Air Manifolds Manifold installation, supporting and clamping at one meter interval. Manifold connection to the process lines & to the instruments. Cleaning / blowing & hydraulic test of the impulse lines (manifold) Scope includes supply of paints, clamps, supports, consumables and other material required. Test on impulse tubes & Pneumatic tubes shall be applicable as per project requirement. INSTALLATION OF CABLE TRAYS Scope of work includes installation of cable trays includes following activities: Taking delivery (including related handling) at on Site Contractor warehouse, on-site transportation, handling, and temporary storage. Contractor shall study tray routing where tray is to be installed. (if drawing is not available, then on the basis of cable schedule & control room equipment layout, contractor shall study the optimal route for cable tray and shall obtain with the site in-charge approval) Pre-fabricated supports if any, shall be fixed either to the floor and/or to the ceiling using expansion bolts inside control room or on column, beams, structural support in field by wielding / bolting. Contractor’s scope includes supply of the expansion bolts/ consumables including wielding rod, nut, bolts, washers etc. Cable tray shall be supported at every 1.5 / 2.0 meter or as specified in the drawings. For fixing the supports, civil work such as chipping work including supply of cement, concrete etc. is in contractor’s scope of supply. Cable trays shall be fixed to the supports by SS clamps / Holding clamps Cable tray sections shall also be fastened to each other with the coupler plates supplied along with cable trays. If required cable tray section shall be bend / cut by the contractor to suit the site conditions. If required contractor shall fabricate and install special pieces for bends, tees, crossings, risers etc. Grounding of Cable trays Before fixing the cable trays, supports shall be painted by the contractor. If required during erection of the cable trays making temporary supports / scaffolding etc. is in Contractors scope.

Contractor shall install the MCT frames as per space available at ITR-1,ITR-2,ITR-3 , CCR , Boiler control room & DM Control Room iii)Contractor’s scope includes supply of cement, concrete, anchor bolts and other similar material required for installation of MCT frames. iv). The activity includes following works: Taking delivery (including related handling) at Contractor warehouse, on-site transportation, handling, and temporary storage. Mounting stands shall be suitable for installation on the plant permanent structure / RCC platform / grade etc. as the case may be. Mounting stands shall be as per project standards either welded or bolted to the permanent structures, for fixing supports on concrete structure HILTI Anchor's bolts shall be used. Minor civil work involved in the installation of the mounting stand shall be also done by the contactor including supply of cement, bricks, concrete,anchor bolts etc. Scope of work includes cutting, welding, threading, cleaning and other similar works involved in the fabrication of mounting stands. After the fabrication the same should be grit blasted and painted . Scope includes supply of welding electrodes, 2" IS:1239 Heavy Grade (as a min) Pipe, 6 mm Dia. Weep Hole at Low Point, U- Bolt Assembly shall be of Min. M12 size with Nuts and Spring Washers. All welds shall be 3 mm Fillet Weld Full Strength. Add 50 mm wherever Fire insulation is provided. Bolts shall be turned from M.S. Rounds confirming to IS: 432 Grade 1. Nuts and Washers shall be confirming to IS: 1363 and IS:3138. MS Plate (plate thickness 6 mm), anchor fasteners, cement, sand, bricks, concrete etc. and other similar material required for fabrication and installation of mounting stands. Grounding of Instruments. If required, making of temporary supports / scaffolding etc. is in Contractor’s scope Support to be fabricated as per installation standards

INSTALLATION OF MARSHALLING PANELS, IRP PANELS, PDB's & WORKSTATIONS: Scope includes taking delivery to on Site Contractor ware house or from place of storage to respective control rooms, on site transportation, handling, storage, unpacking etc. The other activates include the following operations: Freeissue from M/s GMPL. i) These cabinets contain delicate electronic hardware and display units. It should be handled carefully & should not be exposed to high temperature, sunlight, dust and water. ii) Align, fix & tighten the cabinets. SS Nuts & bolts required for fixing the cabinets on the frame are to be supplied by the contractor. For installation of the cabinets, if required, contractor shall also modify the false floor tiles. iii)Contractor shall ensure that all the cabinets are aligned and there is no vertical gap between various cabinets. iv)Contractor shall remove the gland plate from the cabinet and shall drill the gland plate for fixing the cable glands. After drilling the holes, contractor shall re-fix the gland plate in the cabinet. Gas cutting not permitted for making holes in the gland plate. Once cable laying is & termination is complete all the spare cable entries in gland plate shall be plugged by the contractor. vi) Install instrument, accessories, modules and other hardware supplied loose along with the cabinets under the supervision of manufacturer’s representative. vii)Inside the cabinet, through MCT / Glands contractor shall terminate all the loose wires. If required lugs shall also be supplied by the contractor. viii)Contractor shall check that is the cabinet there is no loose connections. ix)Cleaning, de-dusting, paint touch-up (if necessary), stenciling and maintenance of the cabinet. Contractor scope include supply of paint. x)earthing of the cabinet by means of copper wire connected to the general ground system of the control room shall be done by the contractor including supply of PVC insulated copper wire of adequate size as per the earthing layout drawing. xi)The contractor shall assist the system supplier’s representative for initial start-up and commissioning of the cabinets. xii) Any other wok not specified above but required for installation and commissioning of the cabinets is also in contractor’s scope of work.
