Note for item No 8 & 9:- (a) The unit rate shall be include the cost of short lengths, with all pipe fittings such as bends, tees, short pieces connectors, elbows, reducers, unions, sockets etc and fixing accessories such as pipe hooks, screws clamps etc. (b) Wall thickness of pipes shall be all as per IS : 15801

M&L Water proofing treatment of existing roofs as specified below (Ref item No.12.1 ) after complete removal of existing water proofing treatment and expose of top surface of RCC slab of any thickness, any type by stripping out old tar felt over roofs, parapets, chimney stacks etc laid horizontally or vertically including taking out layer of cement plaster etc and cleaning the surface with water and using wire brush including removing debris to outside the MOD land complete all as specified and as directed :-

Item No.12 Contd.... (a) Surface shall be made free from any loose paint, dust or grease. Remove all existing bitumen coatings completely by using intense wire brushing, high speed water jet & vacuum cleaner for thorough cleaning of the surface to avoid ‘Peeling off’ problems. (b) All cracks at corner joints, channels and parapets should be properly treated. For filling cracks upto 3mm crack seal material of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical to be used. Bigger cracks, damaged portions & hollow areas must be repaired with polymer modified cement mortar. (c) Apply a coat of self priming smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical with 33% dilution with water using brush/roller on newly plastered surface after curing as per IS-456 and allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours (dilution & forced coverage requirement strictly as per manufacturer’s instructions). (d) After the primed surface has dried, apply first coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same primed surface & allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours. (e) Prepare for apply 2nd coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same surface. The temp to be maintained 25 to 35° C through out the all above application work. (f) In case of severe dampness an additional coat of damp proof materials to be applied.

Note for item No.12 (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufacturers ( M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical) only. (ii) MOU between contractor and manufacturere shall be submitted before commencement of water proofing work. (iii) A performance guarantee certificate for 10 years from the certified date of completion of work shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE in specified format. (iv) The unit quoted rate is deemed to include taking down of water pipeline, tanks, wires (etc as required) found on roof and refix at the original position after completion of roof treatment . (v) The unit quoted rate shall be inclusive of material, all labours, tools and plants including scaffolding required for working upto approx 7.5 mtr height from natural ground level. (vi) Adoption of necessary safety arrangement like safety belts, ropes, helmets, netting etc. which are required for safety of working labour at height exceeding 3 to 25 mtr height shall be mandatory and deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregates as in roof or in any position to bring upto the slope of average thickness of 50 mm including demolition of existing concrete complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down cement plaster on brick or stone walls, or concrete or ceilings etc., including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water, etc., including removal of rubbish off the premises, removal and depositing serviceable materials where directed and leaving the work clear of any plastering complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for rendering 15mm thick in two layers ( ie 5mm thick in CM 1:4 mixed with water proofing compound over 10mm thick back coat in CM 1:4) on external wall surfaces finished even & fair complete all as specified and as directed. Note: WPC shall be measured and laid separately.

M&L for rendering 10 mm thick on brick or concrete surfaces of internal wall in CM 1:6 (other than fair face) without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Preparation of plastered or un plastered new surfaces of walls, Chajja, balcony, facia etc. and applying two coats of cement based paint over a coat of suitable primer complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Preparation of new plastered surfaces of wall and applying two coats of Oil emulsion Distemper over a coat of alkali resistant priming paint complete all as specified and directed.

Supply Only integral water proofing compound complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of brick masonry, built in cement mortar including all quoins, pillars etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for brickwork with fly ash bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius built in CM 1:4 , complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per item No.21 here in above but except bricks. Note:- Serviceable bricks obtained from demolition of brick masonry vide item No.21 shall be re-used.

M&L for Brickwork with fly ash brick, straight or curved on plan to any radius in half brick thick walls, built in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (reinforced) in of any description and in any position and removal of debris out of MD land complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Precast RCC 1:2:4, Type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in landings, cover slabs, challah hoods, Chajjas, water troughs, mangers, Shelves and similar articles with plain faces including formwork, set in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately.

M&L for Formwork to challah hoods, chajjas, troughs and similar items including edges complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L High strength corrosion resistant TMT steel bar of grade Fe-500 , 10 mm dia and over cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia., or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed.

M&L complete removal of existing finishes from old surfaces of walls, Chajja, balcony, facia etc. by brooming down or steel wire brushing scrapping down, smoke shoots moulds, mass efflorescent salt, treating oil and greasy spots etc and applying two coats of cement based paint over a coat of primer complete all as specified and directed.

M&L preparation of old plastered surfaces of wall by using pressure washer, removal all dirt and dust and applying one coat of exterior emulsion weather proof paint complete all as specified and as directed.
