Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kind of soil by mechanical means including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock . All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side,water pollution, etc and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried,out true to lines,grades,side slopes, width, camber super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge,in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road. August 2004 and clause 16.02 of general conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal and dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner,trimming,filling of unevenness,blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer -in -Charge for smooth riding. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earth work in excavation for structure in all depths as per drawing & technical specification for Rural Rood August 2004 clause 305 including setting out construction of shoring & bracing, removal of stumps and other deleteruious materials and disposal in all leads and lifts including dressing of sides & bottom & back filling in trenches with excavated suitable materials. All wok of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock ( where blasting is prohibited) All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines side slopes, width camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawing of as directed by the Engineer) in Charge hauling and stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner trimming filling of unsuitable cut materials in speciffied manner trimming filing of unevenness blindage & finishing of the road to specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met within the excavation due to spring, seepage, rain and other causes it shall be removed by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and the area of the foundation of embankment shall be kept dry. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the whole responisibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost in all cases.

Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion (RS-I) distributor at the rate of 0.275 kg (zero point two hundred seventy five kg) per sqm on the prepared granular surface treated with primer cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per MORD technical specifictions Clause 502 by mechanical means and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of material through all modes of trasportation within all leads and lifts and other incidentials.
