Earthing systems

Earth Station: Providing earth station with heavy dipped GI earth plates electrode 600 x 600 x 6.0 mm in size at the depth minimum of 2.5 m below ground level (bottom of Plate) confirming to IS 3043 complete with all required materials like coke / charcoal, salt, G.I nut bolts, washers, 19 mm dia GI pipe (B class), 150 mm thick concrete wall chamber duly plastered having size of 500 x 500 x 500 mm, heavy duty (minimum 6 mm thick) M.S chequered plate cover, associated materials like 40 x 40 x 5 mm angle iron frame work, hinged locking arrangements, complete with funnels, GI test links (50 x 6 mm), two runs of 25 x 6mm G.I strips for connecting G.I plate & test link etc. including excavation of ground in all types of soils, refilling & removal of excess earth within a radius of 3000 m etc. all as required as per the drawings, specifications & instructed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- 1. The chamber cover & frame shall be got approved by Department & painted with two coats of red oxide & one coat of enamel paint. 2. Painting of earth value & test date on cover plate. 3. Earthing strips shall be welded with the earthing plate before galvanizing & two holes on each strip & plate shall be made for fixing the screws.

Earthing strips: Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of 25 x 6mm of heavy dipped GI strip fixed to wall / slab / column / beam with 2mm thick GI saddle & 4-5 mm thick GI Spacer or in ground at a depth of 750 mm below ground level excluding excavation in all type of soil , refilling and removal of excess earth within a radius of 3000 mtrs., temporary reinstatement and back filling of trench, interconnection of earth strips / wires with GI nut bolts & washers, painting with two coats of black bituminous compound for earth strip in ground and green colour enamel painting for strip on surface etc. all as required & instructed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing 150 mm thick 1:3:6 PCC wall chamber of 500mm x 500mm x 500 mm size for existing earthing pit, heavy duty (minimum 6 mm thick) M.S chequered plate cover associated materials like 40 x 40 x 5 mm angle iron frame work, hinged locking arrangements,etc. including excavation of ground in all types of soils, breaking of existing chamber, refilling & removal of excess earth within a radius of 3000 m etc. all as required as per the drawing specifications & instructed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- The chamber cover & frame shall be got approved by Department & painted with two coats of red oxide & two coats of enamel paint. The scope of work also includes testing of earth pit & Painting of earth value & test date on cover plate.

Repairing of Chamber covers: Cleaning of earth pit & removing of earth from the earth pit chamber, welding new capsule type hinges on existing MS chequered plate, painting with two coats of red oxide & two coats of enamel paint, all as require & instructed by E-I-C. The scope of work also includes testing of earth pit & Painting of earth value & test date on cover plate.

HDPE pipe: Supply & installation of 50mm dia. HDPE pipe fixed on wall/columns/slab with 4-5 mm thick hot dip G.I. spacer with coach screws/ grouted in wall/anchor fasteners & 2 mm thick G.I. fabricated saddle with all fixing accessories OR in ground at a depth of 600 mm below ground level excluding excavation in all types of soils, all as required & as instructed by EIC.

Excavation

Excavation in soft soil/murum including shorting or dewatering, removing of bricks/tiles etc., disposing the excess earth within the radius of 3000 m, refilling, consolidation of surface etc. as required & as directed by Engineer-in- charge.

Cutting of asphalt road / concrete flooring /drain by using hydraulic drilling machine upto 200mm depth as required and stacking of rocks, refilling, consolidation of surface, making good to the original finish & Disposing the excess earth within the radius of 3000 m as required & as directed by Engineer-in- charge.

Removal of paver block / shahbaz stone / existing drain wells & refixing as per original as required & as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Breakdown Maintenance & Preventive maintenace of Hydrallic gate opening/closing automation system, Double leaf swing gate automation for Gate No.5 & 6 (2 nos) at VS Bhavan Note: 1. Door is operated through Motor based Hydrallic System , Make: Gandhi Automatins Pvt Ltd, Model: Double Leaf swing 5000HC). 2. Visiting charges, attending breakdown, replacing defective parts of system and making it to functional is inclusive of scope of work.Performing preventive maintenance quarterly and submitting the checklist/report is included in the item.
