Cutting of grass and bushes upto ground level or as directed by Engr-in-charge by grass cutting machine (jungle jim attached to tractor) and scrapping with spades including removal of rubbish to a distance exceeding 1000 m outside the MD land complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (a) Grass cutting (Three times during the entire contract period ) to be carried out around the airfield operational area all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. (b) Each cutting area shall be measured separately. (c) Rate quoted for the item is for each cutting. (d) For each cutting one Jungle Jim with tractor including fuel and operator shall be deployed along with 02 labourers for helping jungle Jim operator, sweeping movement area and collection/disposal of grasses. (e) The bushes and shrubs shall be cut and uprooted manually/by using locally available machine with operator. (f) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of all said work and nothing extra is admissible on this account. (g) All works to be executed inside technical area. The site for the work will be available in piece meal and also may be in non flying days. Any claims for non availability of site during all working days will not be entertained. Contractor shall quote his rates considering the above bottlenecks.

Cutting of grass and bushes upto ground level or as directed by Engr-in-charge by deploying four (04) Nos of hand held grass cutting machine in the air field area not accessible by Jungle Jim and during the non operational period of Jungle Jim. Note: (a) Four Nos of hand held grass cutting machine with fuel along with four Nos of operator shall be deployed during working days. (b) In case of non deployment/less deployment of machine with operator required as per item description as per daily roaster, penal recovery of Rs.1000/- per day will be effected from the work done of this item per such incident.

Surface excavation n.exc (not exceeding) 30cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Hardcore using broken stone or boulders n exc 63 mm deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc 15cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 100mm thick PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in floor, laid in panel, surface finished fair and even without using extra cement including necessary formwork complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs DTGM board made of 2 mm thick PVC sheet, one side black colour and other side plain white fixed in position by second class hardwood scantling complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs DTGM board made of 2 mm thick PVC sheet, one side black colour and other side plain white side and numbered in red colour with reflective stickers and fixed in position by second class hardwood scantling along with necessary supports complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs sign board made of 2 mm thick acrylic sheet, coloured with reflective stickers along with necessary frames and fixed in position with screws on existing supports complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling wrought iron, or mild steel or cast iron work of any description not otherwise provided for complete all as directed.

Material and labour for cement concrete in foundations, filling and mass concrete with type D2 1:4:8 (40mm graded aggregate) complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing mild steel angle iron fencing posts, struts and flat iron for fixing fencing and similar work conforming to Fe-290 Gde E- 165 including cutting tops to shape as directed, bent to shape, drilling holes, notching, hooking for wire etc. complete all directed.

Material and labour for preparation new or previously untreated steel surfaces of any description over 10 cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint of 1st grade quality over and including one coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour in repairs razor blade galvanised barbed Concertina coil of 1050 mm diameter made out of 2.59 mm thick galvanised wire having weight of each coil @ 15.2 kg ± 5% of coil, stretched to a length of 10 to 12 m to achieve 950 mm dia as in fencing to steel posts and to another coil/MS ribs including fixing with special galvanised fasteners such as J clips, C clips, U clips all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour in repairs Galvanised. 2 strand, steel barbed wire 2.24mm dia barbed with 2mm dia barbs at 75mm spacings and straining and fixing to any type of standard rails straining bolts, including, securing or tying at crossings with and provision of galvanised mild steel wire, staples or steel pins, etc. as directed (each line wire to be measured)

Surface dressing not exceeding 15cm deep in hard/dense soil and levelling the uneven surface of natural ground by trimming to an even surface by removing vegetation and scrapping high patches and filling in low patches with soil to have a neat look complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling floor, hearth or wall tilling including cement mortar bedding (but not hacking) removing serviceable tile to stores and rubbish off premises all as specified.

Material and labour Non skid ceramic tile 7-8mm thick area exceeding 0.18 Sqm and not exceeding 0.38 Sqm size (Square or rectangular) colour tiles (Black/red/yellow) in floor etc, laid over and including Screed bed or bedding layer 15mm thick in CM 1:6, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match with as in floors complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour Non skid ceramic tile 7-8mm thick area exceeding 0.18 Sqm and not exceeding 0.38Sqm size (Square or rectangular) white tiles in floor etc, laid over and including Screed bed or bedding layer 15mm thick in CM 1:6, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match with as in floors complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparation old or previously untreated steel surfaces of any description over 10cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparation of old painted wall surfaces exc 10 cm girth or width and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed.

Carrying out survey of grass cutting area in and around the airfield of appx 75acres of land using Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS)/Total station and submission of drawing in quadruplicate , laminated and duly marked with grass cutting area in Sqm pocket wise.

Material and labour for preparing old black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface using air compressor/blower to remove all loose dirt etc., complete and apply Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) in two coats with 1.00lit (undiluted) PME diluted in ratio 1:1 (PME:Water) to be applied uniformly and ensure uniform finish of PME rejuvenator on flexible surfaces. A mechanical spraying machine is required for blending PME Rejuvenator for its uniform application by skilled and qualified apllicator to maintain quality performance of finished surface, complete as per technical specifications and as directed by Engr-In-Charge. Notes: The tenderer shall take following points into consideration while quoting rate for this item: (a) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator of the manufcaturer only. (b) Care shall be taken to fill wider gap/cracks with 0.6mm to 2.36mm size coarse sand as per manufacturer's instructions. (c) A performance guarantee certificate for two year shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified.

Removing excavated material n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Notes: Kind attention of tenderers is invited to that the runway will be available to execute the work on week days, Saturday and Sunday or on holiday or as required by user. The tenderer has to work as per users requirement and unit rate quoted by tenderer shall be deemed to include for this provision/condition. Also the tenderer cannot claim any extra payment on account of working hours lost due to aircraft flying operations.
