Note for item No 27 & 28 :- (i) Vitrified tiles are classified under group B1a of the international Standard for ceramic tiles ISO: 13006. Tiles shall be hard, dense, impervious and frost resistant. Water absorption of tiles shall be less than 0.5% and flexural strength (Modulus of Rupture) shall be more than 35 N/Sqmm. (ii) The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate of Tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.

M&L Glazed ceramic coloured tiles 450 x 300 mm x 7/8 mm thick set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match with tiles on vertical surface such as dado including 10mm thick 1:3 backing coat including taking down existing tile and removing serviceable tiles to store and rubbish off the premises complete all as specified and as directed.

Granite work (of any type) 18 to 20mm thick (table rubbed and polished including round edge) in steps, jambs, pillars, windowcills, cooking platforms, wash basin platform and like in cement mortar (1:4) including pointing in white cement (1:2) using marble dust with admixture of pigment to match with granite shade over and including 15mm thick screed bed in cm 1:4 including demoliton of existing stone slab complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note for Item No 33 :- (a) The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate for tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.

M&L Preparation of plastered or un plastered old surfaces of walls, Chajja, balcony, facia etc. by brooming down or steel wire brushing scrapping down, smoke shoots moulds, mass efflorescent salt, treating oil and greasy spots etc and applying one coat of cement based paint complete all as specified and directed.

(ii)To maintain a uniform mixture and to prevent segregation, the paint shall be stirred frequently in the bucket.

(iii)Painting surfaces shall be cured as soon as paint has hardened so as not be to damaged by the spray about 12 hours after the applications.

(iv) Cost of scaffolding required deemed to be included in the quoted rate of item and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.

(v) Work will be carried out through authorised applicator/ agency of approved manufacturer by GE and colour shall be as approved by Engr in charge .

M & L Preparation of old plastered surfaces of wall by using pressure washer, removal all dirt and dust and applying one coat of exterior emulsion weather proof paint complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F Factory made UPVC three track sliding Window frame having 2 tracks for glass shutter and 1 track for mosquito sash made of upvc profile section of size 73mm x 42mm (wxh) having outer wall thickness of 2.0mm(+/-0.2mm). Sliding glass shutter shall be made of UPVC section of size 55mm x 33mm and sliding wire mesh shutter shall be made of UPVC section of size 40mm x 22mm. All section of the frame, sash, transom & mullion, as applicable, shall be duly reinforced with G/J/U/O shape galvanised mild steel section of required thickness considering structural / wind load requirement. System shall be provided with the suitable upvc bead for glazing of the system & fitted with inner & outer EPDM seal gaskets. Note for item No 66 :- (a) All synthetic enamel paint, plastic emulsion paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.

(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.

(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.

(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)

(e ) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE

(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.

(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.

(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

S&F Factory made 30mm thick Glazed and skeleton shutters, open rebated and prepared to receive glass, gauze, etc. divided into squares, with plain, chamfered or rounded, mitred and rebated sash bars, any numbers, edges of framing plain, chamfered or rounded fitted with cut and mitred beads for securing glass, etc., sizes of members of shutters as specified in SSR Part I, Section 8, clause 8.24 (a); all as specified and directed.

M & L Preparation of new wooden surface of any description not otherwise described over 10cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of pink primer complete all as specified and directed

Note for item No111 :- (a) All synthetic enamel paint, plastic emulsion paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.

(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.

(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.

(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)

(e ) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE

(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.

(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.

(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

M&L in repair to middle/lock rail of doors 150 mm wide with second class hard wood 35 mm thick including making of grooves and fixing,using fevicol and wooden pinning and treated with two coats of synthetic enamel painting over one coat of pink primer complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Minor repair to aluminum/glass doors, windows, partitions and making good the same (i.e. Handles, hinges, rubber beadings, clips etc) complete all as specified and directed.

Easing of door shutters for easy closing/opening and tightening of hinges or changing the position of hinges, adjustment of tower bolts, sliding bolts with new screws etc, Size of door upto 2 Sqm complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Easing of window shutters, kitchen cupboard shutters, show case shutter drawers including fixing of screws adjusting handles, knobs tightening piano hinges including misc small adjustments , size of window upto 1.5 Sqm. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

S&F 300mm, ordinary Mild steel rat tail rod pattern springs including roller and roller plate complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Aluminium extruded section body door closer hydraulically regulated,designation No.3, universal type, suitable for door shutters of 851 to1000 mm in width and of weight between 61 to 80 kg and fixed including taking existing one complete as directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L 100 mm thick Plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate ) as in sub base , fillng and mass concrete or as in receiving tiles/ surface channels and drains etc including demolition complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Chequered cement concrete tiles 30cmx30cmx25mm thick machine pressed set jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry as in floors and cut and polished using grey cement and pigments over screed bed or bedding layer of mortar 15mm thick for laying floor finishes in cement mortar (1:4) including demolishing the existing tile complete all as specified and directed Note : The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate for tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation/fixing.

M&L Bullnosed chequered cement concerete tiles 32cm x 20cm x 30 mm thick machine pressed set jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry as in treads and cut and polished using grey cement and pigments over screed bed or bedding layer of mortar 15mm thick for laying floor finishes in cement mortar (1:4) including demolishing the existing tile complete all as specified and directed Note :- The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate of tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.

Taking down of aluminum/Glass doors carefully and re-fixing in same opening including necessary repairing/cleaning/greasing etc and make the same fully functional all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in repair steel window peg stay all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Supply and fixing in repair steel window hinges as per sample by welding all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Taking down the existing locking system, contains any number of levers replacing the strucked/damaged levers, applying oil to all parts and making functional properly and refixed in position complete all as specifed and as directed

Demolition of Brickwork/stone boulder masonry, built in cement mortar all as specified.

M&L Fly ash Brick work with old size bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius built in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

Description all as per item No 139 here in above but except bricks. Note:Serviceable bricks obtained from Sl item No 138 be reused.
