Construction of lining, retaining wall, hydraulic structures and allied works for water drainage arrangement at Kaiga 5 and 6.

SCHEDULE A:EARTH WORKS SITE CLEARANCE: Clearing the site by cutting, uprooting and removal of shrubs, bushes, weeds including removal of bamboo bushes of all sizes/Nos. by Manual / Mechanical means (trees which are already Enumerated), converting the tree trunks into logs, stripping of bark wherever required, and disposal of the same in safe way to prevent fire hazard to far away place up to a lead of 2500 m from the work place etc. all complete as per technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

SCHEDULE A:EARTH WORKS Dismantling of concrete (RCC/PCC) at all levels, existing structures such as boundary wall, road pavement, culverts etc.including all necessary drilling equipment ,labour and clearing the site including disposal / storage of the material etc. all complete as per technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Care to be taken not to damage the existing adjacent structure.

SCHEDULE A:EARTH WORKS EXCAVATION: Removal of tree stumps of all girths including roots, excavation in all type of soils, rock fragments, including top soil, hard murrum or other hard soil, mixed clay, sand, laterite soil, soft & hard laterite, disintegrated rock not requiring blasting, etc. at all depths and lifts for Kaiga holhe diversion works and associated hydraulic structures, foundations, roads, drains, tunnels and trenches etc. including shoring and strutting as required, stacking the useful / serviceable materials & disposal of the excavated muck in proper stacks etc. up to a lead of 2000 m, etc. all complete as per technical specifications, drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

SCHEDULE A:EARTH WORKS BLAST CHARGE STUDIES: Conducting blast-charge studies through specialized agency like NIRM / CWPRS / GSI, as per technical specifications before commencing blasting for excavation in hard rock. The report should recommend the safe charge for limiting the peak particle velocity in permissible limits for various distances as per technical specifications. The specialized agency shall also suggest suitable method of muffling to avoid flying of rock/rock pieces/fragments during blasting.

SCHEDULE A:EARTH WORKS Excavation in hard rock by other means viz. mechanical rock breaker/hydraulic splitting/using expansive chemical grouts/chiselling etc. at all depths & lifts in Kaiga holhe diversion works and associated hydraulic structures where blasting is not permitted, stacking serviceable materials and disposal of excavated muck in places upto the lead of 2000m. and at all depths below existing ground level etc. all complete as per technical specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

SCHEDULE A:EARTH WORKS Carrying out excavation in hard rock requiring controlled blasting by controlling of peak particle velocity including muffling wherever required at all depths and all lifts for Kaiga holhe diversion works and associated hydraulic structures for grading, foundations, tunnels & trenches including stacking the useful/ serviceable material and disposal of excavated muck in places as directed up to a lead of 2000 m etc. all complete as per technical specifications,drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: The quoted rate shall include: 1)Excavation of last 150 mm above final excavation level by mechanical / manual chiseling to prevent over excavation, damage to foundation strata and obtain an even surface. 2) Monitoring of blast vibrations by placing seismographs at locations as directed by Engineer
