Consultancy for structural Design and Drawing services for Provision of Furniture Storage Yard at CG Land Chicolna Goa

1. Consultancy for Structural Design & Drawings service for Provn of furniture storage yard at CG land Chicolna, Goa. a) Preparation and Submission of Design Calculations. b) Preparation and Submission of Structural drawings including details standard structural drawings. (c) The consultant shall provide the STAAD file, Auto CAD drawings in soft copy. Design folder and drawings duly vetted by IIT/NIT/IISc/Govt Engineering College shall be submitted along with soft copies. 2. The consultancy shall submit detailed structural design and drawing based on approved design folder to the client for checking. Rep of consultant/designer will be available during checking for necessary clarification /explanation to the client at the appointed date and time. The modification as suggested by the client shall be incorporated and final approved drawing shall be submitted. 3. All structural drawings shall be prepared as per standard Structural norms and notations etc as followed by client. Analysis and design of structures shall be as per latest revisions of IS-456 2000, IS 1893 2016 and complying with IS 13920 2016 for ductile detailing of reinforcement. The following structural parameters/ details shall be adopted for design:- (a) Location of structural : Chicolna, Goa (b) Type of construction : RCC Framed. (c) Type of concrete : M-30 Concrete.

(d) Tpe of Steel : Fe-500D Grade (e) Safe bearing capacity of soil : As per soil test report (f) Super structure : Cast-in-situ RCC framed structure. (g) Analysis & Design : STAAD pro connect edition latest version (h) Seismic zone and importance factor : III (j) Exposure condition : Severe. (k) Basic wind speed : (l) Fire Resistance Rating : 1.5 Hours. 4. The column and location shown in architectural drawings are tentative only and can be changed as per structural requirements. However, the layout plan of rooms and their sizes will remain the same. 5. Documents to be made available to consultant by the department and all the documents are to be returned to the department along with the completion of job order:- (a) Relevant extract of BP’s if applicable. (b) Copy of site plan in suitable scale/contour plan/level sheet as applicable (c) Copy of Adm Approval (d) Copy Architectural drawings. (e) Copy of SBC Report. (f) Other relevant details as applicable. 6. The following requirement shall be met with while preparation of structural drawings:-

(a) The consultant shall be developing complete structural designs and drawings confirming to latest version of relevant BIS codes. The analysis & design shall be carried out using latest versions of Design software STAAD Pro connect edition version 22.03.00.28. (b) The design concept and plans shall be got approved for a very building/ structure from the client before commencement of design. The computer print of structural layout plan must show the member number. Clarification shall be obtained immediately in case of any need. (c) The design folder(s) and computer printout along with CDs shall be submitted in original duly signed by the consultant to the client. (d) The structural drawings shall be drawn to a scale sufficient for clear interpretation by executives. (e) Every sketch shall be given a serial number so that it can be uniquely referred to along with sheet No e.g “Section of Beam PB(Drawing No 5) Sheet No 8/9” etc, Reference number shall be taken by the consultant from client. (f) Schedule of beams, slabs, column and footing shall be given in the table form with sketch of each type. (g) The consultant must familiar himself with the general format of structural drawings followed in the office of MES and prepare his drawings accordingly. (h) The structural drawings should give foundation plan floor plan, roof plan, details of portal. Details of joints, connection details of welding etc if any. (j) Detailing of reinforcement bars given exhaustively and clearly so as to be totally unambiguous for executives. (k) Design of floor of all types and pavements shall also be given.

7. Consultant shall to the client the documents as described below (a) SUBMISSION OF INITIAL DOCUMENTS Consultant shall submit the following documents within three weeks from the date of issue of job order:- (i) Initial Structural drawings - 02 sets (A1 size) (ii) Initial Design calculation - 01 Folder (Draft CD) (b) SUBMISSION OF FINAL DOCUMENTS : Consultant shall submit the following documents within six weeks from the date of issue of job Order dully vetted from designated institutevizIIT/NIT/IIS/Govt Engineering Collage duly signed by authorized signatory on behalf the institute and not from a professor/individual in his personal capacity. (i) Final Design folder incl STAAD file, Auto CAD - 01 Folder & CD Drawings hard copy as well as soft copy in a CD (iii) Original Tracing of all drawings prepared as directed - 01 Set (A1 size), 05 Set( A1size)by the client & white sheet (c) The document submitted by the consultant shall be scrutinized by the client and any observations raised and clarifications sought by the client shall be replied/ clarified by the consultant to entire satisfaction of the client within three days of communication from the client. The consultant shall also attend the office of the Chief Engineer (CG) Goa, if so called for personal discussion and clarification without any extra cost to the client.

8. Liability clause for consultant : Liability for the following aspects shall be part of this quotation as per E2 Wks (Design) sub Directorate, Engineer-in-Chief’s Brach Integrated HQ of ministry of Defense (Army), New Delhi letter No: 93348/MISC/Consult/687/E2 Des 3 dated 03 Jul 2011 (a) Faulty Design: Consultant to be held responsible for any structural failure/ building distress caused due to faulty design. In even of defective design noticed during execution consultant will be charges liquidity damage at the rate 10% of the cost of deviation order necessitated due to revision of drawings. However in case of minus deviation no liquidity damage will be recovered from consultant. (b) Delay : Consultant will be held accountable for delays in providing the final design Consultant will be held accountable for delays in providing the final design Consultant will also be held responsible for delays due to inaccurate design and subsequent redesign. Compensation at the rate of Rs 10,000/- per week of delay will be levied on the consultant. 9. GENERAL CONDITION FOR STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND PREPARATION OF STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS (a) If the consultancy services by the stipulated date is expected to be delayed to any cause beyond his control, it shall be brought to the notice of this HQ immediately on the happening of the event causing delay in the completion of services, given notice thereof in writing to the accepting officer under intimation to the consignee who after consideration of circumstance causing delay in the services may reasonable extension of time for the completion.

(b) If at any time after placing the job order, the client decided to postpone or abandon the project, the client shall given seven days notice in writing to the consultancy after placing the job order to termination the job order. If the project or any part thereof is postponed, the client may in lieu of terminating the job order for the time being. If the client does not require the consultant to resume performance of this services in respect of any postponed work within 07 days from the date of suspension of carrying out of his services, such work shall be considered to have been abandoned and this job order shall be deemed to be terminated. (c) The consultant shall be eligible for payment of proportionate fees for the portion of consultancy service already rendered as assessed by the client. The client decision in this regard shall be final and binding. The other compensation whatsoever shall not be paid. (d) If the consultant commit any breach of any provision of job order or initial documents submitted are found not satisfactory, the client shall be entitled cancel the job order. 10. After placement of job order, the consultant has to complete the work within 45 days which comprise submitting of initial document as per para 8(a) (b)&(c) to the department including vetting and approval of client.
