PART - I - CIVIL WORKS

Providing and laying in position, at all floors and at all levels & locations plain cement concrete of grade as specified below including machine mixing, consolidation, finishing, curing and including cost of form work, shuttering, centering etc. complete all as per specifications and directed by EIC. (Note:- Reinforcement provided if any shall be measured & paid under relevant item.)
Reinforcement for RCC work including supplying, delivering, storing of various diameters as required at site of work including loading, unloading, transporting, decoiling, straightening,cutting, bending, placing in position at all floors, locations & levels and binding with 18 gauge, soft drawn annealed steel binding wire including carrying out various tests as required etc. all as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Note: The cost of binding wire shall be borne by the contractor and binding wire shall not be measured for payment.)
For Below Plinth Level (In Sub Structure) Thermo Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500 D / Fe-550 D, manufactured by SAIL, TATA STEEL, JSW, JSPL and RINL.
Brick masonry work using well burnt bricks from approved lot of class designation 3.5 / 7.5 (as specified) (classification as per IS:1077-1992 and min. average compression strength not less than 3.5 / 7.5 N/mm2, as specified) in cement mortar 1: 6 or using ready mix mortar (1.4), (as specified), to correct line, level and plumb including raking out joints, curing, scaffolding all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by Engineer in charge. Note: 1) The contractor shall get approved the samples of bricks / AAC block from the Engineer-In-Charge before procurement on large scale and shall maintain the same for the entire work. 2) Necessary Openings/ nitches/ pipe sleeves/ cut-outs, wherever required as per drawings and asked for by the Engineer-In-Charge, shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost. 3) One masonry wall thickness shall be considered as 230 mm and half brick wall as 115mm and lesser wall thickness if any shall be made up to the required dimensions by the contractor in cement mortar 1:4 to proper line, level and plumb without any extra cost to the Department. 4) The rate shall include cost of making brick / AAC block masonry to all geometrical shapes and sizes without any extra cost to the Department.

Random rubble stone masonry work using spotless black trap or approved local stone in cement mortar 1:6 or using ready mix mortar (1.4), (as specified), to correct line, level and plumb including curing, scaffolding, providing bond stone at 900 mm in vertical & horizontal course and including racking out of joints or simultaneous flush pointing etc all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by Engineer in charge.

Providing and laying (IPS Flooring) cement concrete flooring of finished thickness as specified below, at all levels, location & floors, using cement concrete of (1:2:4) using with graded stone aggregate of 10 mm maximum size and finished smooth to the required line, level & slope, finishing with a floating coat of neat cement, laying in alternate bays and including cleaning the surface, curing, ramming, consolidation, pigment etc complete all as per specifications and as directed by EIC.

Providing and laying machine cut and machine polished Kotah stone flooring, skirting, riser, treads at all floors, levels & location including cement mortar bedding / backing, close jointed & grouted with matching cement slurry and finished to line, level, curing etc. as required, including cutting of stone slab, wastage, making cut outs, wherever required, machine polishing/ hand polishing (where machine cannot have access) etc. complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge.
In flooring with mirror polished, 25 mm minimum thickness kotah stone slab of size 600mm x 600mm / 575mm x 575mm laid over bedding of 20 mm thick cement mortar (1:4).
In dado/skirting with mirror polished, 20 mm minimum thick kotah stone fixed over bedding of 12 mm thick cement mortar (1:4).
In staircase treads with mirror polished, 25 mm minimum thickness kotah stone slab in single piece upto 1.8 m length laid over bedding of 20 mm. thick cement mortar (1:4), including half round moulding & polishing of nosing for exposed face, making three anti skid grooves (5 mm wide & 2 mm deep at 25 mm C/C)
In riser with mirror polished, 20 mm minimum thick kotah stone in single piece up to 1.80 m length, fixed over bedding of 12 mm thick cement mortar (1:4).
Providing and laying first quality matt finished / anti skid ceramic tile in flooring and water repellant ceramic tile in dado/cladding of 6 mm minimum thickness or as per specification of approved manufacturer and conforming to IS:15622 and approved colour, shade, design, pattern in cement mortar bedding/ backing, close jointed and grouted with matching cement slurry to match the colour of the tiles, finished tolevel, line, slope and plumb including cutting of tiles, making openings /cutout if necessary, wastage and final cleaning of surfaces as required, curing etc. complete all as per drawings, specifications & as directed by Engineer in Charge. Note: The sizes of tiles mentioned are approximate and subject to the availability required size is not available the next higher size of tiles shall be used without any extra cost to the Department. The tenderer may note the same and quote accordingly.
In Flooring with 300 mm X 300 mm or approved size anti skid ceramic tile laid over 20mm thick cement mortar bedding1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand)

In dado/ cladding of size 300 x 600mm/300 x 450mm or approved size with approved design/pattern water repellant ceramic tile laid over 12 mm thick cement mortar backing of (1:4), PVC corner beading/ nosing of approved quality and colour at the corner and edges of the tiles including finishing and embedding in the wall etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in-charge.

In flooring using Polished Glazed vitrified tile (PGVT) of size 600 mm X 600 mm (White/Athelon) laid over 20 mm thick cement mortar1:4 bedding (using reday mix mortar) and spreading neat cement slurry by using minimum cement about 2 kg/sqm prior to bedding and spreading cement paste using minimum cement of about 4.50 kg/sqm over bedding,
In skirting using using Polished Glazed vitrified tile (PGVT) of size 600 mm X 600 mm (White/Athelon) over 12 mm thick cement mortar 1:4 backing.
Removing loose / shaky vitrified floor tiles and refixing the same using polymer modified cement based tile adhesive manufactured by Roffe Construction – NSA (Non Skid Adhesive) or M/s Bal Endura Chemicals– Gold star, including removal of loose/shaky tiles cleaning back side of tile and removal of tile adhesive from existing floor area, cleaning etc complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Providing & laying machine cut machine polished natural stones as mentioned for the followings for kitchen platform topping, counter topping and facia over and including necessary cement mortar for backing / bedding, close jointed and grouted with matching cement slurry and finished to line, slope, level, plumb, curing etc, as required including cutting of stone slabs, wastages, making cut outs wherever required etc all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in charge. Notes : 1) Verticals, shelves, platform shall be embedded minimum 25 mm in wall/ flooring. 2) Top exposed surface on plan & exposed vertical finished face shall be measured for payment in sqm.
For kitchen platform top, upto 750mm wide and upto 1800 mm length in single piece consisting machine cut machine polished on one side, 30 mm thick cuddappa stone at top and bottom fixed with 40 mm thick 1:4 cement mortar (Using factory made Ready Mix Mortar only), between two stone slabs (Double stone slab sandwitch type) including providing cut out if any, moulding and polishing the edges etc complete .
For kitchen platform horizontal facia upto 100 mm wide machine cut machine polished on one side 25mm thick cuddappa stone fixed with epoxy resin base (Arladite adhesive or equivalent) including round moulding and polishing the edges etc complete .
For vertical support of Counter/platform, consisting of 2 nos. 30 mm thick machine cut machine polished on one side cuddapah stone slabs sandwiched between the stones with 40 mm thick cement mortar 1:3 (using reday mix mortar, as specified) including providing exposed front face upto 100mm wide vertical facia of mirror polished 18mm thick jet black / approved granite stone on exposed sides with epoxy resin base (Araldite orequivalent) including rubbing and polishing of cut edges complete all in line, level, plumb etc.

Providing and fixing in position at all floors, levels / heights 18 mm thick mirror polished natural stones slab for door frame in two overlapping layers one piece full length / height of approved shade, finished sizes as directed including machine cut / hand cut, final cleaning, moulding and polishing of exposed edges, in line, level, plumb and fixing the stone with cm 1:4 (Using factory made Ready Mix Mortar only), 20mm backing & overlapping of 20mm shall be fixed with Araldite adhesive, with best workmanship, finishing, curing, etc. complete all as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the EIC. Note : Exposed surface on Elevation & exposed vertical finished face shall be measured for payment in sqm. Overlapping & edges etc shall not be measured.

Providing and fixing anodised aluminium (anodised transparent or dyed to required shade according to IS: 1868. Minimum anodic coating of grade AC 15) at all levels, floors, locations for sub frame work (Window, ventilator, door etc), base frame of ACP work & other similar works, using extruded built up and/or standard tubular sections of approved make & shape including providing & fixing suitable dash fastener/ achor fastner, screws, washer, labour, material, cutting, wastage, scaffolding etc complete all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Note:- The item includes cost of material such as cleats, sleeves, screws etc necessary for fabrication of extruded aluminium frame work. Nothing extra shall be paid on this account). The weight of aluminium extruded section shall be taken for purpose of payment.
Providing and fixing following type of approved quality glass panes for doors/windows/ventilators/louvers, of approved manufacturer and fixing with aluminium frame work including fixing aluminium channel beading (to be paid under relevent item) and providing and fixing with 2 way EPDM gasketing , to ensure water and air tightness and neoprene cushions/ gasket accommadated in grooves, necessary bronze anodised screws etc, all complete generally as per drawings specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Only clear opening of glass shall be measured for payment.

Providing and applying shrinkage crack filler of Dr. Fixit Crack X Paste or other equaivalant material including opening the loose part of the existing crack , making the same in V - shape in required depth & width, cleaning the groove by removing dust, oil, grass, loose particals etc., press the crack filler in to the crack one time only with a spatula or putty knite and level the surface etc. completed all as per manufacturer's specifications and as per direction of the engineer-in-charge.
Injecting approved low viscous epoxy grout into concrete slab, stone masonry cracks, columns etc. by suitable gun/ pump at required pressures of 3-4 kg/Sqcm by providing necessary scaffolding, drilling and inserting 12mm dia. Brass grouting multiperforated nipples up to 30mm to 40mm depth, using M Seal, Quartz sand around the nipple, cutting of nipples after curing, cleaning etc. complete. Repairs to damaged RCC structural members at all locations/ floors using polymer modified cementatious mortar, for strengthening the existing RCC structural members using acrylic based polymer confirming to the following technical specifications and comprising the following operations: Polymer required for the work shall be procured by the Agency from approved Manufacturers as per technical specifications of approved equivalent manufacturer confirming to technical requirements as mentioned below. Appearance: Milky white Ph- value : 9-10 Specific gravity : 1.055+/-0.005 Solid contents(%w/w)-: 44+/-1 Viscocity at 25 degree C temperature (in sec): 15-20 Testing of the material as per relevant codes at NABL approved third party Lab. is to be done by the Agency for every batch/lot of supply. Bond coat should be applied @ 0.37 ltr./layer/sq.m. Minimum FM of silica sand should be 2.10
Building up with polymer modified cementatious mortar for RCC structural members etc. in layers not exceeding 20 mm in a day (proportion – cement 50 Kg. : Silica sand 125 Kg. : polymer liquid 10 ltrs.) with necessary bond coat (polymer : Cement = 1:1 by volume) for tack coat and also for subsequent layers using polymer including curing, covering the flooring /window with tarpaulins or equivalent covering material to avoid deposition of polymer mortar and cleaning of floor / windows thoroughly on completion of repair work etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Polymer used for this work in KG shall be measured for payment.
Repairing with polymer bonded mortar up to 35mm thick in layers of not exceeding 20mm (with out chicken mesh) in a day (proportion- cement 50 Kg : silica sand 125 Kg) with applying protection coat / bond coat to reinforcement, bond coat to old concrete and bond coat for every successive layers of 20mm thick in proportion polymer : Cement-1:1 by volume as per specification including covering the floor/windows with tarpaulin or equivalent covering material etc., and cleaning after repair etc., complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in charge. The rate is inclusive of supplying and applying protection coat /Bond coat of polymer.
Providing assistance to the departmental technician for attending the complaints of various nature on working days/holidays/ beyond office hours viz ,etc in various flats and buildings including necessary tools and manpower, loading, unloading etc complete all as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge. (Working hours should be 8.30 Hours including 30 minutes of lunch break)
a) Supply of un-skilled Labour
Supplying, fixing & erecting M.S. Double steel tubular scaffolding using 'H' frames with cup lock type with horizontal and vertical rows @ suitable spacing as per I.S. specification, scaffolding made with 40 mm dia heavy class MS seamless pipe, suitably overlapped at junctions and cross braced wherever required securely tied, supporting the scaffolding with building members, including dismantling & taking back the scaffolding, providing necessary safety belt, helmet & safety equipments to labours for works and including providing & fixing necessary required MS tube challies, MS clamps, MS staircsae system in scaffolding, working platform etc etc complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:-1. Suitable double nylon net with a mesh size of 25mm shall be provided at 4 M. height from the ground level around the buildings upto a distance of minimum 3 M. from the edge of the building in all sides to catch any falling objects causing accidents. 2. Screen of suitable material shall be provided to the full height of scaffolding and securely tied to protect falling bodies coming out during the work is in progress. 3. Contractor has to provide nylon mesh and screen to avoid falling bodies at his own cost and no extra payment shall be made for same. 4. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with building etc. Making arrangments for inspection of work at required location with essential safety features. 5. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purposes. The payment shall be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. 6. The scaffolding shall be using good quality and sturdy 'H' frames with horizontal and vertical MS pipes of minimum 40 mm nb @ suitable spacing as per latest relevant I.S. specification which should be suitably overlapped at junctions and cross braced wherever required and securely tied, supporting/anchoring the scaffolding with building members as permitted, at every alteranate floor level along the height of the building, tieing the free ends of frames at terrace level, providing bearing plates and making foundation blocks at the bottom of each legs of H frames for proper bearing and support.
Providing & erecting double bamboo scaffolding using minimum 75 mm dia best quality bamboo tied with coir rope & the horizontal & vertical members of the bamboos provided as required at spacing of not more than 900 mm apart both vertically & horizontally including providing cross supports as struts to tie the scaffolding properly to the building for works of external surfaces of buildings as & when required including providing necessary safety belts to workers, dismantling the scaffolding after work is completed including cost of transportation, labour, safety belts etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE: The mode of measurement shall be in square metre for the overall portion of external exposed surface area of buildings covered by scaffolding and the said area shall be measured flat. No deductions shall be made for any openings in the surface and the jambs / reveals.
Disposing off the umclaimed debris by manual/ mechanical transport to the near by Local Municipal Authority approved dumping pits/ dumping area outside colony including all leads, lifts, loading, unloading, stacking, spreading, levelling etc. complete as per drawings, specifications & as directed by the Engineer in charge. The disposal shall be as per latest guidelines of Construction & Demolition waste management plan as approved by Local Municipal Authority. Royalty for transportation, disposal of Rock, spreading etc. including obtaining permission from statutory authority, if any shall be borne by the contractor. Note: Voids @ 20% shall be deducted from fully loaded truck for measurements.
Structural steel work at all floors, levels and locations in grills, guard bars for windows, frames, Fence, pit/ trench covers, cover bracket for slanting chajja, trap door, railing, balcony hand railing, hoisting hooks, smoke vents etc. using angles, channels, I-Section, tees, flats, bars, chequered plates, plain plates, hollow section, bright bars etc. of required sizes including supplying, cutting, fabricating, welding, erecting, making holes/ chases wherever required and fixing / embedding in position in concrete/ brickwork/blockwork/ marble/ granite stone with necessary hold fasts/ stainless steel screws & rawl plugs by drilling etc. and finishing the concrete/ brick work/ blockwork after fixing/ embedding including painting two coats of anti corrosive bitumastic paint on all unexposed surfaces and two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved make and colour on all exposed surfaces over a coat of approved zinc chromate primer etc. complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge. Note:- All structural steel work shall be as per latest version IS:800 & IS:806. All Rectangular and Square Hollow Sections (RHS & SHS) shall be conforming to latest version of IS:4923. All rolled sections shall be of Grade E-250 and conforming to latest verison of IS:2062. Welding shall be as per IS:816 & IS:6227.

(Over terrace slab, top of mumty, water tank and parapet etc. at all levels & locations & Floors) Note:- Surface preparation and application of waterproof system: i) Preparation of surfaces by cleaning using high pressure water jet and remove all dirt, loose particles using metal brush (Removing all old existing water proofing treatment by machine grinding & polishing), opening up of cracks and grouting / filling the same with crack seal / chemical grout of same manufacturer. ii) Repaired surface shall be verified by EIC before further applications. iii) In case of improper slope, local depression etc., maintain the slope using polymer modified mortar or concrete 1:2:4 using 10 mm down aggregates which will be paid under relevant item. iv) The existing waterproofing ( viz APP Membrane / Chemical ) shall be removed properly before this new applications. v)Agency shall submit a detailed step by step method statement of application of entire water proofing system prior to the commencement of work for approval by department.

Labour charges only for carefully removal of all types of chokages as and when required at various floor levels from kitchen sinks, water closets, gully trap chambers, internal inspection chambers, drain pipes, in service shafts of residential & non-residential buildings including buildings having ground & stilt + 3 upper floors including cleaning the existing & waste, soil pipes P' traps & bottle traps and various sanitary fixtures by rodding or other suitable means whenever found necessary also including thoroughly removing the dirt sewage / grillage & misc. rubbish in and around the inspection gully trap, 'P' trap chambers and disposing or the same away from buildings within a lead of 50 M or the nearest disposal ground including washing the floor areas in service shaft with phenyl etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer in charge. Note: 1) The contractor will make his own arrangement for opening & closing of plugs or cleaning eyes for waste, sol pipes, 'P' traps etc. at his own cost. 2) The chokage complaints shall be attended immediately by the contractor by arranging sufficient numbers of labour commensurate with the magnitude of work involved. The labour shall be made available daily for full day for six working days a week during the working hours of the maintenance office. 3) The cement required for re-fixing the C.I. covers, 'P' trap chambers will be supplied by contractor at his own cost. 4) The garbage / waste removed shall be disposed at BMC garbage bin within a lead of 200 Mtrs.

Removing all types of chokes carefully from the main sewer line as and when required by choke-up remover, rodding, or other suitable means wherever found necessary, including thoroughly removing the dirt, laying it in and around the area, disposing of it, etc. inclusive of the cost of labor, tools, and plants, all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- 1 Agency has to obtain permission/Co,ordination from MCGM and work is to be carried out as per MCGM guideline.
Cleaning and sweeping thoroughly the flooring of the shafts and around gully traps chambers etc. removing all types of dirt such as loose earth, papers, vegetable waste, glass pieces & slush rubbish etc. cleaning the floor with fresh water and disposing of the same to the nearest disposal ground or at directed place within a lead of 50 Mtrs. from buildings shafts etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer in charge.
Providing and fixing approved quality corrugated PVC flexible waste pipe with check nut of size 32/40 mm dia. of approx. 60 cm length as drain pipe to kitchen sink at different locations with necessary white Zink, cement, hemp yarn including removing old damaged existing pipe and connecting to the C. I. line / Nahani trap etc. complete. Notes:- i) The contractor shall get written approval from the Engineer in Charge, for the water proofing agency engaged and shall submit the specification of the waterproofing before commencement of work. ii) The contractor shall test the surface where water proofing treatment provided for bone dry condition by filling up with water. No wet patches or leaks shall appear on the surrounding wall or under side of the slab. iii) The contractor shall furnish guarantee bond on appropriate stamp paper in the proforma as per relevant section of Conditions and Clauses of Contract for the entire waterproofing treatment for maintaining the surroundings and under side surfaces of the waterproofing treated area in bone dry condition for (5/10) years. During the guarantee period the contractor shall attend all leakages, defects etc. if noticed, free of cost, starting the work of checking up and rectification within a week's time from the date of intimation about such leakages/defects. iv) The Contractor shall keep the water tank filled with water after the water proofing work has been completed and shall clean it before handing over. At no time shall the water tank be kept empty. Testing for the bone dry condition for the water proofing work carried out shall again be done, before handing over the flats, if found necessary by the Engineer in Charge.
Filling in bath, W/C, toilet, depressed areas with water proofing brick bat coba of the agency approved by the department at all floors, levels and locations upto the required level and making the surface finished suitable to receive floor finish, including finishing, curing, compaction etc all complete as per drawings and water proofing agency's specifications & as directed by the Engineer-in charge. ( Note:- The generally brick bat coba consist of broken brick bats of size 25 mm to 115 mm with 50% of Cement Mortar (1:4) using Ready mix Cement mortar (as specified) admixed with approved water proofing compound conforming to IS:2645 as per manufacturer's specifications)
Providing and laying integral cement based waterproofing treatment of the agency approved by department, including preparation of surface as required for treatment of chajjas etc mixing with waterproofing compound as per IS:2645, with average thickness of 65 mm.
