COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT, VOLTAGE STABILIZER AND DG SETS AT NCN UNDER AGE(I) NAVY CHENNAI.

Comprehensive maintenance for diesel engine driven generating set by carrying out routine 'A' check of the engine complete for smooth functioning all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed for 200 KVA installed at NCN complex including attending to under mentioned jobs to ensure its satisfactory performance:- Existing DG -02 No Make: Kirloskar Note: Quoted Rates are deemed to be for carrying out A checks as under.

Checking the fan belt and adjusting tension

Checking the fuel and oil filter

Checking the air filter including cleaning and refixing

Checking of FIP oil level

Tightening the base bolts and nuts

Checking the coupling bolts and adjustment checking the self starter and Dynamo

Checking the battery distilled water levels and topping upto the required level.

Checking the panels (Manual as well as AMF) attached to the DG set for loose connections, defects if any in the panel Board and replacement of spares all as directed.

Checking the anti vibration mounting and adjusting the bolt.

Checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any

Checking the engine oil level and topping upto the required level

NOTES:- (i) Control switches , MCCB's, contactors, multi display meters , Engine control unit shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall be exlusive for servicing/ maintenance of the above item of work.

(ii) Servicing of DG set alongwith connected Alternator and Panel Board including 'A' check of the Engine shall be carried out once in every month (Except during the month when 'B' check is carried out) as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenenace period and shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenence / breakdown repairs as and when required in that period except in case of major repairs.

(iii) Spare parts required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares shall be deemed to be inluded in the rate quoted .

(iv) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item.

(v) List of checks to be carriedout under 'A' check is attached to the Particular specifications.

Maintanance and servicing of following Diesel Generator sets by carrying out routine 'B' check of the engine including items covered in 'A' check complete for smooth functiuning all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed for 200 KVA installed at NCN Complex Existing DG -02 Nos Make: Kirloskar Note: Quoted Rates are deemed to be for carrying out B checks as under.

NOTES:- (i) Control switches , MCCB's, contactors, multi display meters , Engine control unit shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall be exlusive for servicing/ maintenance of the above item of work.

(ii) 'B' check shall be carried out once in every six months or 250 hours of running of DG Set whichever is earlier. Servicing of DG Set alonwith connected Alternator and Panel Board including items covered in 'A' check of the Engine shall also be carried out in that month as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG Set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance / breakdown repairs as and when required in that period except in case of Major repairs.

(iii) Spare parts , engine oil and radiator coolant oil required during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid seperatly at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares/filling of oils shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item.

(iv) Cost of all consumables, diesel / oil filters etc., required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item.

(v) List of checks to be carriedout under 'B' check is attached to the Particular specifications.

Checking the tappet clearance and adjustment of valve including replacement of tappet gasket for following DG Sets :-for 200 KVA DG Set

Supply only fuel filter pre and secondary including rubber gasket of 200 KVA DG sets (Cost of replacement deemed to be included in the maintenance part of the DG set)

Supply only lube oil filter including rubber gasket for following OF 200 KVA DG sets (Cost of replacement deemed to be included in the maintenance part of the DG set)

Dismantling the fuel pump from the Engine, transportng to the service center and complete servicing and overhauling of the pump including replacement of service kit ,element, delivery valve, plunger, copper washer etc all as required including re-calibration, refixing and testing complete. Dismantling the water pump from the Engine and supply and fixing new water pump of existing size and testing complete. DG Set of capacity 200 KVA

Dismantling the fuel pump from the Engine and supply and fixing new fuel pump of existing size and testing complete. DG Set of capacity 200 KVA

Draining out the diesel tank, cleaning / washing out the sludge and re-filling with diesel for following DG set:-DG Set of capacity 200 KVA

Comprehensive maintenance of 4 TR vertical type air conditioner(04 nos) to check the servicevility of AC and proper clean the filter and check the outdoor fan moter and other connected items and gas pressure for every month all as specified and directed

Dismantling the unserviceable uncut rotary compressor from the window AC unit 4.0 Ton capacity and replacement with new rotary compressor, including servicing the entire unit complete all as specified and directed Note :- Compressor test reports along with warranty to be provided for record.

Material and labour for Spray painting to the whole unit indoor and out door of Vertical type air conditioner 4.0 Ton by two coats of synthetic enamel paint after cleaning the unit assembly with castic soda wash complete all as specified and directed.

Shifting of split type Air conditioner any capacity including supply & fixing of factory fabricated support suitable to mount out door unit (one pair per AC) and duly making holes into wall for insertion of copper pipe,drain pipe and 3 core cable,and making good the distrubed surfaces complete and including servicing the entire unit all as specified and directed.

Comprehensive maint of servo voltage stablizer of 200 KVA to checking of oil level and input and out put supply to maintain the static voltage as reqd to the bldg all as specified and directed

M & L TO replacement earthing complete with Copper plate earth electrode 600X600X3mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 meter below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level connected to 20x3mm copper strip at two points by means of bolts and nut, check nut and washers including charcoal dust, common salt, necessary excavation in hard/dense soil, returning filling in and removal of surplus soil to a distance up to 50metres, PCC pit in 1:3:6 type CI (using 20mm grade stone aggregate) RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm grade stone aggregate ) 50mm thick pit cover, reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bars 75mm c/c, both ways MS handle 12mm dia, GI funnel, wire mesh and GI watering pipe of 20mm bore GI (light grade) and earth lead protection pipe 40mm bore (light grade) all as specified, directed and shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I including testing complete. Spray painting of diesel generating set of capacity 200 KVA open type with one coat of synthetic enamel paint including writing of SM/MES No on engine and alternator, body colour shall be apple green,black for foundation base frame, red for all guards for all as directed.

Removing and replacing the old unserviceable lead acid battery of size 12 Volt , 130 AH of reputed make including charging and shifting & depositing old battery to MES all as specified as directed ( Make : Amaron/ Exide)

M & L for PCC (1:3:6) type C2 (using 40mm graded crusehd stone aggregate ) as in foundation/Copping of pole including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed.
