| 2 | Taking down old hangar door shutter of 10 leaves of size 5.00 m (clear width) 10.00 m (clear height) of each including top & bottom rail without damaging the existing structure complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
Note :
(a)The contractor shall make his own arrangement for mechanical cranes or boom ladders etc of appropriate capacity for taking down and erection of hanger doors and removing old materials from defence land and the cost of same is deemed to be included in the quoted rates.
(b) All the safety precautions will be taken by the contractor as directed by the Engr in Charge and the cost of same is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. | 1 | Each Job | - | - |
| 3 | Design, fabricate erection and commissioning of framed work as in doors or gates (multi leaf) of angle or other section with gusset plates, rails (top & bottom track/ rails), wheels (top & bottom wheels), braces, rigid support stubs, inverted gutters, self-supporting goal post/ door pocket frame structure etc complete drilled for fixing of cladding with heat insulation panels. Doors to be prepared for sliding with and including either hooks and hinges or steel hanging door fittings and hanging, for manual and power drive operation (with suitable electric geared motor units), fastening and fixing complete and painted with two coats of epoxy paint over a coat of anti rust zinc chrome primer complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
Note :
(a) The Contractor shall submit design/drawings with complete details of MOC for each component/unit of hangar door for approval of GE before starting manufacture of hangar door. Door to be factory made from approved manufacturer.
(b) Drg shall be vetted by IIT/ NIT/Anna University, Chennai,/ Andhra University Vizag.
(c) The design of Door , Top Rail and Bottom rail shall be vetted by IIT/ NIT/Anna University, Chennai,/ Andhra University Vizag.
(d)The contractor shall make his own arrangement for mechanical cranes or boom ladders etc of appropriate capacity for erection of hanger doors and the cost of same is deemed to be included in the quoted rates.
(e) All the safety precautions will be taken by the contractor including placing the hangar door shutters at appropriate place and carrying out the repairs/ corrections as on required basis as directed by the Engr in Charge and the cost of same is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. | 1 | Each Job | - | - |
| 3.02 | L) Door Pocket:- Frame Necessary support structure to accommodate the Top Tracks, to be designed & provided by the client.
M) Power Drive Operation:- Electric geared motor unit with deadmans’ control to be mounted within the width of each leaf. The drive units will not have any motor more than 1KW.
N) Operational Reliability:- No loose hanging festooned cables are to be used. The power supply & Control signals to the door are to be delivered to the individual leaves via an enclosed buzz
bar system.
O) Operational Reliability:- The door must be designed in such a way that it can withstand the vertical deflection in the Hangar building due to Thermal expansion and or wind pressure.
P) Manual Operations:- Manual change over must be possible with an easy to operate lever.
Q) Manual Operations:- The door leaf should be easily pushed by 2 person with per persons effort not exceeding 25 kg force.
R) Drainage Channels:- The rainwater collected in the door area must be efficiently drained through the bottom tracks.
S) Drainage Channels:- The client/Main Contractor will provide a covered concrete drain parallel to the tracks or the building to evacuate the rainwater into the existing Stormwater
drains or purpose built Rainwater Harvesting pits.
U) Personnel Access:- 02 Doors with low threshold shall be provided within the sliding door leaves.
V) Personnel Access:- One pass door in each leaf towards the far end of the Hangar width.
W) Personnel Access Personnel access doors must be interlocked with the main door for safety. | - | - | - | - |
| 3.03 | Mandatory Qualifications for Manufactures 1. Experience — Manufacturer shall have minimum ten (10) years’ documented experience in the design and manufacture of steel sliding hangar doors.
2. Reference Installation — Manufacturer shall have completed at least one installation of similar or larger size Installation may be in the past two years or earlier. (documented project details and client contact).
3. Factory Fabrication Only — On-site fabrication of main door components is prohibited. Only limited and preapproved hotworks shall be authorized in writing by the Engineer in Charge.
4. Proof of facility ownership/lease and capability proof of dedicated manufacturing and testing facility where complete fabrication, preassembly and FAT will be carried out shall be needed.
5. Full factory address and contact details must be provided as the client might visit the factory prior to the finalisation of the Technical Bid.
6. Factory Preassembly & FAT Capability — Manufacturer shall be capable of full preassembly of all the door leaves and record dimentional tolerances before FAT.
7. Shipment of any door components shall be permitted only after Client has reviewed all the QAP data and inspected atleast one fully-assembled, working leaf at the factory prior to issuance of the FAT Acceptance Certificate.
8. Factory Acceptance — Manufacturer shall provide its Z3R-grade Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) (or equivalent) and complete Material Test Certificates (MTCs/mill certificates) for all structural steels, fasteners, cladding and glazing. | - | - | - | - |
| 3.04 | 9. The Client shall have the right to review these documents and perform a visual parts inspection at factory prior to shipment. Material traceability to heat/lot/coil is required.
10. Client-Witnessed Electromechanical Tests — Manufacturer shall permit the Client (and Client-nominated representatives) to supervise and witness all electrical and mechanical operation tests at the factory prior to shipment. No shipment prior to successful Client-witnessed FAT.
11. Standards & Third-Party Structural Certificate — Manufacturer shall demonstrate compliance with applicable standards (EN13241-1 or equivalent; IS875 Pt-3 or equivalent for wind loading; EN12944 C5M or equivalent for corrosion protection) and shall submit a third-party structural analysis/certificate ( IIT/ NIT/Anna University, Chennai,/ Andhra University Vizag.) validating the self-supporting frame and wind/thermal design.
12. Drive/Control Origin Declaration — Manufacturer shall declare origin and make of motors, gearboxes, VFDs and control panels. Drives or control units from the origin countries excluded by the Client are not permitted.
13. Warranty & Lifecycle Support — Manufacturer shall offer minimum 12 months warranty for manufacturing defects and a 5-year AMC offer document with a guaranteed spares supply plan and stated lead times.
14. Access & Cooperation — Manufacturer shall grant Client reasonable access for factory audits, reference site visits and FAT witnessing. Failure to permit such access shall be considered non-compliance | - | - | - | - |
