Notes: (i) Earth lead & protection pipes length upto & including 7.50 metre.The length of the galvanised strip beyond 7.5m will be measured and paid seperately (ii) Earth filling shall be done by vegetable soil. (iii) Soil should be free from stone, boulders, aggregate, gravels etc. (iv) Irrespective of what is shown on plate No 3 of SSR Part-I /1991, the earthing pit shall be precasted PCC (1:3:6) type C1 and the cover of earthing pit shall be of precast RCC (1 :2 : 4) type B-1(using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) with suitable handle all as specified. (v) All joints of galvanised strips shall be of brass only. (vi) Test rresult of earthing to be submitted by the contractor for all earthing . (vii) Earth result of the pit shall be less than 1 Ohms, during the maintenance period also to be maitained earth resistance less than 1 Ohms falling which new earthing to be provided by the contractor with out any extra cost. (viii) The rates quoted by the contractor is deemed to be inclusive of cost of MS sheet for marking the result and its purpose of use of size 300mmX 300mmX3mm size fixed with necessary nuts and bolts on angle iron of length 60cm and size 40X40x5mm grouted in the ground with PCC (1:3:6) (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) of size 200mmX200mmX250mm including necessary earth work.

NOTE:- (i) The cost of earth lead and protection pipe upto and including 7.5 mtr only from the centre of earth electrode are deemed to be included under this item and additional lead, if any, required at site shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of Schedule 'A'. (ii) Any joint in earth lead from earth electrode to test point shall not be allowed/ permitted. (iii) Earth result of the pit shall be less than 1 Ohms, during the maintenance period also to be maitained earth resistance less than 1 Ohms falling which new earthing to be provided by the contractor with out any extra cost.
