Construction of Off-take chamber of the required size at the canal tapping point, Raw water gravity mains of required size from off-take chambers to Under Ground Sump (UGS) & Construction of underground Sump of appropriate capacity including all necessary earthwork in conformity with relevant BIS Code of Practices with latest amendments ¤t at the time of execution and following the norms etc. as prescribed by the Department of Water Resources, Punjab/ Competent Authority, all complete
Providing and installation of Raw water pumping machinery with Variable frequency drive panel of appropriate capacity ( with minimum 50% machinery as standby extra than required capacity) with variable frequency drive where required, for Raw water pumping including foundation works, electrical and other installation works, providing all necessary suction/delivery piping arrangement with control valves & specials, arrangement for priming pumps with standby provision, priming water tank with staging & required Pipes & specials etc.(common priming arrangement for all he pumps for different route). Furnishing the Manufacturer's test certificate & characteristic performance curve of the pumps, all complete, All pumps, electrical drive motors & other appurtenances shall be of reputed make & conforming to BIS Specification and other regulatory norms, current at the time of design and execution
Providing, Installing and Commissioning of Sub Station systems with necessary Transformers, capacitors etc., to meet demand of all electrical systems‘ capacity to run Raw Water Pumping Machinery, Water Treatment Plants, Clear Water Pumping Machinery and other electrical accessories within the premises of Raw Water Sump area and WTP area including meter room as per requirement of PSPCL, connecting electric cables, HT panel etc., suitable protection and all other works contingent there to complete in all respect. In case, intermediate pumping is proposed by the bidder at other than WTP site, then the rate for that should be included in this item.
Providing, Installing and Commissioning low noise (Silent) Generating Sets of Suitable capacity to run Raw Water Pumping Machinery, Water Treatment Plants, Clear Water Pumping Machinery and other electrical accessories within the premises of Raw Water Sump area and WTP area, connecting electric cables, HT panels etc., suitable protection and all other works contingent there to complete in all respect. Supplying, laying, jointing, testing and completion of DI pipeline of appropriate size and length (as per all relevant BIS specification) for raw water pumping main upto WTPs including all necessary earthwork, valves & specials, valve chamber, supporting structures, crossing of canals/drains, anchor/thrust block etc. compete in all respect including dismantling, restoration/reconditioning of all kinds of roads, road berms, culverts, or any other structure to be dismantled during laying of pipe line (as per norms of the concerned department) to its original condition.

WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM: Construction and commissioning of WTPs using best suitable technology; preferably compact in nature
Construction of Complete Water Treatment Plant based on usage of surface water supply of minimum output capacity of 14 MLD with suitable designs in conformity with the relevant BIS Code of practices with latest amendments, having filtration rate not less than 4.8m/hr, provision for disinfection, including all necessary Mechanical and Electrical Installation Works suitable for automated operation of the plant, Provision for Laboratory Facility, sludge management system, all internal connections & by-pass piping system, including provision of minimum 50 sqmt area at ground floor and 1st floor each, for Office, Chemical Storage, blowers and chlorination etc. All internal and external electrification work for compound lighting etc., Electrical control panels for connecting & hooking up of the electrical switch gears of various drive motors of the Treatment Plant units etc. including 3 months trial run period., for Water Treatment Plant, the Bidder can use best, latest and proven technologies so as to have a compact system to save space and ease of management. All the valves and other controls should be DI; instruments should be of best quality; and no leakages are allowed in WTP premises.

CLEAR WATER SYSTEM: Construction of Clear Water Reservoir including pump room, machinery at WTP and IPS if any
Construction of minimum 1.91 Million ltrs. Capacity RCC Under Ground Treated Water Sump in 2 (two) compartment and with a suction wells for suction of clear water machinery, having provision for all inlet, outlet & overflow arrangements; calibrated water level indicators; Air Vent Pipes; Man Holes with Covers; PVC Lugs inside the sump etc. In case, intermediate pumping is proposed by the bidder at other than WTP site, then the rate for that should be included in this item.
Clear Water Pumping Stations with RCC framed structure having minimum 6 meter clear height from floor to bottom of slab, near to clear water suction well of suitable size with all necessary electrical fittings & fixtures viz. light/ fan/ power socket etc., arrangement of proper ventilation, fire fighting, disposal of over flow water from pump sets and necessary plinth protection work.

CLEAR WATER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM: Providing, Laying, jointing and testing of Transmission System connecting all villages to be covered in the scheme for defined supply conditions.
Supplying, laying, jointing, testing and commissioning of requisite dia. DI Transmission Mains (as per all relevant BIS specifications) from proposed Clear Water Reservoir/ UGSR to the Existing/ Proposed OHSRs of the Existing/ Proposed village Water supply systems including all necessary earthwork, crossing of drains/ canals/ culverts etc., air valves, flow control valves, pressure regulating valves, necessary Specials, flow meters, valve chambers, supporting structures, anchor/ thrust block etc. including dismantling, restoration/ reconditioning of all kinds of roads, road berms, culverts, or any other structure to be dismantled during laying of pipe line (as per norms of the concerned department) to its original condition.
For pipe line having dia 500mm and above Provisional Sum of Installation of a steel (MS) portable barricade with horizontal rail 300 mm wide, 2.5m in length fitted on a frame made with 45x45x5 mm angle iron section, 1.5 m in height, horizontal rail painted (2 Coats) with yellow and white stripes, 150 mm in width at an angle of 450, A frame painted with 2 coats of yellow paint, complete as per IRC: SP: 55-2001 complete as per specifications till completion of road restoration works.
For pipe line having dia less than 500 mm. Provisional Sum for Installation of barricade made of wooden components, 1.5 m high from road level, fitted with 3 horizontal planks 200 mm wide and 3.66 m long on 100 x 100mm wooden vertical post, painted with yellow and white stirrups, 150 mm in width at an angle of 45 degree, complete as per IRC:SP:55-2001.

SITE DEVELOPMENT: Development of Raw Water Pumping Stations, WTP Areas, clear water system and any intermediate pumping system including Boundary Walls
Land Development & Security Brick/ RCC boundary Walls, designed to with stand all weather conditions, of 1.8mtr.height around Raw Water systems, Water Treatment plants areas (including clear water systems) and any other intermediate pumping systems if any including MS gates finished with suitable paint including 3.50mtr.Wide internal & approach road suitable for appropriate loading, arboriculture, compound illumination with sufficient no.of Solar street lights designed for suitable luminosity to cover complete systems built under this including necessary labour, materials, paintings, site development for aesthetics, etc complete in all respects. In case, intermediate pumping is proposed by the bidder at other than WTP site, then the rate for that should be included in this item.
Plantation of trees at WTP/ Head works and approach roads. Impacted trees to be identified by Contractor in consultation with Forest Department in presence of Employer to ensure no endangered species impacted. Locations for plantation of trees to be submitted to and approved by Employer. Plant Species to be planted as per the guidance of Forest Department. Tree plantation to be completed during defect liability period and must ensure survival of plants throughout O&M period.
