Dismantling existing defective earthing PCC chamber including RCC cover and material & labour for new PCC chamber in PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) with 60mm thickness precast RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 cover slab,with 8mm TMT bars @ 75 mm c/c both ways, with MS 12 mm dia TMT bar for chamber handle complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- Charge.

M&L in repairs for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten/saddles or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc of size 4 mm GI Wire complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Taking down old GI strip/Copper Strip of any type and size complete all specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten/saddles or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc of size 32x6mm GI Strip complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge..

Supply and fixing in repairs test point terminal block made up of gunmetal or phosphorus bronze 75mmx75mmx25mm drilled and screws including 8mm dia 25mm long hex head screws and connecting to earth strip complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S&F in repairs PVC bib tap 15mm bore fixed to GI pipe or ferrule complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M & L for maintenance free chemical Gel based earthing, Pure Copper type having 50 mm dia 3 mtr long and 7.50 m long Copper strip earthing electrode of size 25 x 3 mm with 60 kg back fill compound , including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, perforated watering pipe, funnel with wire mesh, earth lead protection pipe light grade, PCC Chamber 1: 3 :6 type C1 ( for even finish on both the faces ) and RCC cover 1:2:4 type B1, 550 x 550 x 50 mm thick with 8 mm dia TMT bars 150 mm c/c both ways with 2 Nos of handles of 10 mm dia all as required at site including testing on completion and taking down of old earthing complete all as specified and directed by Engr in-Charge Note : (1) 7.50 RM GI earth strip including GI pipe light grade is deemed to be included in the quoted rates, beyond 7.50 RM shall be measured and paid separately. (2) Earth resistance of earth pit should be less than 1.0 Ohms on testing after completion. If the desired earth resistance is not obtained the earthing will be redone at no extra cost.

M & L for maintenance free chemical Gel based earthing, GI Pipe having 80 mm dia 3 mtr long and 7.50 m long GI strip earthing electrode of size 25 x 4 mm with 60 kg back fill compound , including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, perforated watering pipe, funnel with wire mesh, earth lead protection pipe light grade, PCC Chamber 1: 3 :6 type C1 ( for even finish on both the faces ) and RCC cover 1:2:4 type B1, 550 x 550 x 50 mm thick with 8 mm dia TMT bars 150 mm c/c both ways with 2 Nos of handles of 10 mm dia all as required at site including testing on completion and taking down of old earthing complete all as specified and directed by Engr in-Charge Note : (1) 7.50 RM GI earth strip including GI pipe light grade is deemed to be included in the quoted rates, beyond 7.50 RM shall be measured and paid separately. M&L Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode size 600x600x6.00mm thick burried directly in ground vertically in pit of depth not less than 2.25 mtr below normal ground level with top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level surrounded from all sides by mixture of charcoal and common salt and electrode connected to and including galvanised iron strip 32X6 mm earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised steel and earth lead protected by GI protection pipe light grade 40mm bore with all fittings from upper edge of earth plate to body of equipments fixed with and including 25x4mmFI clamps and also including provision of GI pipe light grade 20mm bore for watering, funnel with wire mesh. PCC chamber pit in PCC 1:3:6 type C-1, 40 mm thick precast RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 cover slab ( 20mm coarse aggregate) reinforced with 8 mm dia TMT bars @ 10 cm C/C on both sides and handle, excavation and earth work in any type of soil and removal upto 50 m complete all as specified and shown in electric plate No.3 of SSR Part-I(2009), connecting to earthing test point including testing on completion complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in- Charge.. Note: (i) The unit rate includes for protection pipe and earth lead upto 7.50 meter. (ii) Any variation in length of earth lead and protection pipe beyond 7.5 m shall be measured separately. (iii) PCC pit shall be provided at least 500mm away from the pit and not on the earth pit itself and the extra cost of additional height of watering pipe bends elbow etc shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate. (iv) All earthing should be interconnected. Earth lead for interconnection shall be measured and paid seperatly under relevent item.

M&L for testing and measuring the earth resistance value of the existing earthings / Down conductor / air terminal after disconnecting the earth continuity conductor from the test point , applying secondary voltage across the terminals, maintaining proper record of the measurement in presence of the users rep, MES rep, submitting the test records, pouring saline water in the earth pit to achieve low earth resistance, observing the same complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:1. Earthings within the station premises shall be checked for proper functioning subject to a period of atleast once a month or in case of poor earth value intimated by user, whichever earlier. 2. Materials and earth work for renovation of earthing shall be measured and paid separately under respective item of Sch A 4. Rates quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of brazing / fixing of earth strip upto test terminal as required at site.

Supply and fixing in repairs test point Air termination, single pointed, copper rod 12 mm dia and 300 mm long complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fixing in repairs to following items to be incorporated in repairs to lightening protection system under ground/floor complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Porcelain insulator with nut bolt and washer suitable for fixing copper/gi/aluminium strip on wall or ceiling

Epoxy insulator 100 mm dia conical shape

M&L for PCC 1 : 1½ : 3 type C1 with 20 mm stone aggregate for foundtation / concrete blocks / earthing chamber / chamber cover complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Supply and fixing sheet steel enclosure for test terminal block of size 150x150 mm made out of 2 mm thick dully Powder Coated CRCA sheet for fixing test terminal block complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- Charge.

Testing of earth resistance of the existing earthing by using earth tester obtaining required test result and submit the report to Engr-in-Charge, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in- Charge. Note : Earth tester required for testing of resistance shall be included in quoted rates.
