Eligibility Criteria

Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

Bidders shall ensure upload of relevant document certifying his/her status as Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/other reserved category as prescribed in the tender document.

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

The cost of the tender processing fees shall not be refundable

Bidder shall pay Contract Management Module processing fees of 0.025% of the contact value (Min Rs.500/- & Max Rs.7500/-) soon after contract has been issued to bidder.

The bidder is required to ensure browser compatibility of the computer well in advance to the last date and time for receipt of tenders. The departments shall not be responsible for non-accessibility of e-Procurement portal due to internet connectivity issues and technical glitches at bidders end.

The contractor shall carry out complete repair, servicing and maintenance of the Mini LCT barge Mahalingeshwar at Magal Bidrahalli ferry including but not limited to Hull inspection and structural repairs, Steel plate renewal and welding work, Corrosion treatment and marine painting, Deck fittings repair, Main engine overhaul, Gearbox repair, Fuel system cleaning, Cooling system servicing Engine and gearbox servicing, Electrical system maintenance, Bilge pumps and piping repair, Fuel system cleaning, Replacement of defective parts if required And any other necessary equipments servicing

The tenderer shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of his tender, and employer will in no case be responsible and liable for those costs.

Royalty and other applicable taxes will be deducted as per prevailing Government orders.

As per Karnataka state Government order LD/300/LET/2006/ dated: 01.01.2007 & Government letter No. PWD/134/BMS/2007 dated: 27.07.2007 a sum amounting to 1% of the bill amount will be deducted towards constructions labour welfare fund.

All safety precautions, warning signals, night illuminations, reflectors, life saving appliances has to be ensured so that no untoward incident happens on account of negligence or any project activity. Contractor should indemnify the client to that extent.

Contractor should follow strictly the prevailing rules of labour act

The contractor should take all precautions to ensure that no damage is caused to the existing structures

Further particulars if any are required by the contractor the same can be had from the office of the Port Engineer, during office hours on or before last date of quarries.

The intending contractors are requested to note that, they should abide by the detailed instructions and conditions contained in the standard tender documents KW-1 and further orders there on.

All the items in the tender include all lead, lifts, loading and unloading, transportation, labour, hire charges of machinery and conveyance of all material and all other such incidental charges necessary for successful completion of works as per the detailed technical specification as per direction of Engineer in charge of work.

If the tenderer quotes less than amount put to tender, the tenderer should submit the difference amount in the Form of Bank Guarantee, DD, Or NSC pledged in favour of Port Engineer, Karwar along with security deposit of 5% of the contract price before executing the agreement.

All documents to be scanned in original & uploaded to the e-portal and the same documents attested by the gazetted officer and produced to the Port Engineer, on or before opening of technical bid. Tender inviting authority reserves right to verify the uploaded documents in e-portal with original documents before acceptance. If the tenderer fails to produce the attested document with original documents for verification and EMD in original before opening of technical bid, such tender will be rejected as a non-response.

GST will be paid separately during raising the bill as per the prevailing rates

All technical criteria should be fulfilled by tenderer as per KW-1

With all cost of material, labour, hire charges of machineries including necessary temporary working arrangements required for satisfactory completion of work with all lead and lift charges as per the direction of Engineer in-charge of work.

Achieved in at least two financial years an average annual financial turnover of Rs.14.00 lakhs(usually not less than the estimated cost under this contract for works)

Satisfactorily completed (at least 50% of the contract value), as prime contractor, at least one similar nature of work of value not less than Rs.7.00 Lakhs.
