Providing and laying cement concrete road for approach to N12 and S12 tower and near stone quarter at RAC Ooty.

Providing and laying design mix cement concrete of M-30 grade, in roads/ taxi tracks/ runways, using cement content as per design mix, using coarse sand and graded stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size in appropriate proportions as per approved & specified design criteria, properly fixing dowel bars with sleeve/ tie bars wherever required, laying at site, spreading and compacting mechanically by using needle and surface vibrators, levelling to required slope/ camber, finishing top surafce with extra cement if required and required texture at top surface , including steel form work with sturdy M.S. channel sections, proper curing with gunny bags / ponding , making provision for contraction/ expansion, construction & longitudinal joints (10 mm wide x 50 mm deep) by groove cutting machine, filling joints with approved joint filler and sealants, complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (Item of dowel bars with sleeve/ tie bars, joint fillers, sealants, to be paid separately). Note:- Cement content considered in M-30 is @ 340 kg/cum. Excess/ less cement used as per design mix is payable/ recoverable separately. Cement concrete M-30 ( Cement used should be of minimum OPC 43 grade )manufactured in automatic batching plant (RMC plant) including transportation to site in transit mixer . The contractor is instructed to conduct mandatory concrete cube testing for 7 days and 28 days from the approved LAB for the cement concrete works executed at N-12 Approach Road, S-12 Approach Road, and Stone Quarter Roads, and submit the corresponding test reports for record and verification.

Providing and filling in position rubberized bitumen hot sealing compound for sealing of expansion joints in roads / pavements all complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. Size of the joint 10 mm wide 50 mm deep at every 6.00 meter interval of the road. The joint should be properly filled and should not be spilled on the road pavement area.

Providing and Fixing Dowel bars ( if required ) in position of the suitable diameter of minimum FE500 to the cement concrete road as per the Standard civil procedure with sleeve and epoxy coatings to the bar as directed by RAC
