REPAIR AND MAINT OF EARTHING PITs / LPs AT TECH AREA AT AF STN KALAIKUNDA AND DDK RANGE UNDER GE (AF) KALAIKUNDA

Taking down old unserviceable GI/Copper earth plate or Chemical earthing from soft and hard soil from any location as directed by Engineer -in- charge.

M&L for Advance encapsulated compound based Chemical earthing CPRI tesed maintenance free , pipein -pipe technology upgraded (Zinc & Alloy coated). , Zinc & Alloy coated (80 -100) microns with pure zinc (99.9%) & Alloy coating (200-250) microns.Earthing system conforming IS 3034. The outer and inner pipe should be 76.2mm and 41.9mm dia respectively of 3 mtrs long zinc coated with with additional special alloy coating 300mm on top side for additional protection of the terminal . The annular space between the pipes to be filled up with Compact fill (CF) (Crystalline Conductive) mixture which should be machine pressed in the pipes not disintegrate or collapse when outer pipe corrodes . The inner pipe should be extended with terminals for connectivity.The job includes digging the pits of min size 1000 X 1000 X 3050mm depth taking out excavated soil,lowering the pipe in pipe earth electrode,filling of pure conductolite back filling compound (BFC Conductolite ) having excellent moisture retaining capacity in 250 mm around the electrode min 4 bags of 25 KG per pit per unit. The BFC should be eco friendly it should not contain envernmently hazardous material/metal having ROHS certification from NABL accredited lab.The earth pit should be provided with a FRP earth pit cover for protection and safe guard of terminals. The material of earth electrode should have good electrical conductivity & anti corrosion property in wide range of soil conditions. The job also include M & L for in PCC(1:3:6) type C-1 around the FRP cover for support and foundation and colouring the PCC work with desired colour.complete all as specified and directed. Make : ASHLOK ( Model ASEEL-39 AC 3 mtr length 76.3 mm dia Note :- (i) Design of earth electrode should be of pipein-pipe technology . (ii) Contractor have to submit literature of earth electrode and get the make approved of GE before procurement. (iii) The earth electrode shall be CPRI tested to withstand short current test for 60kA rms for 1.0 second and 150kA for peak current. (iv) Contarctor has to fill pure back fill compound 250 mm all around the earth electrode up to full depth of pit. (v) Copper strip will be laid below 20 cm from ground level and connecting the test point through plinth protection using HDPE pipe for protection, necessary cost of repair to plinth protection and brazing and welding deemed to be included in the item. (vi) Contarctor shall submit the test report of earthing after satisfactorily completion. (vii) Contractor shall remove the stone if found in the soil excavated for the earth pit before refilling of same soil in pit. (viii) Contractor has to bring agriculture soil from outside of defence land and fill in earth pit to achieve desired result where soil resistiviy is very high.

M&L earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x 3.15 mm thick burried directr in ground (Earth pit not less than 3.5 m deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 2.75 m below ground level connected to copper strip 20 X 3 mm as earth lead by means of bolts nuts, check nuts and washers of glavanised iron and as shown in electrical plate No 3 connected to earth test point including necessary excavation any type of soil, RCC chamber cover plate, wire mess, funnel, test point, 50 mm dia GI protection pipe and watering etc complete and testing on completion. The electrode and lead shall be of copper all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge (Copper strip upto 7.5 RM will be included in the item rate and copper strip beyond 7.5 RM will be measured seperately. (Note : Fresh soil will be used for filling the dug as required to achieve the desired resistance from out side, copper strip will be laid below 60 cm from ground level and connected to test point through plinth protection necessary cost of repair to plinth protection and brazing and welding deemed to be included in the item and connected through double nut bolt and brazing of joints)

Taking out old unserviceable GI/aluminium/copper earth strip of any size and type in any height and any location as directed by Engineer In charge.

Supply and fixing earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed on "V" type porcelain saddle to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 20X3.15 mm copper strip soldering to each joints with brass nut bolts all as specified and directed by engr in charge.

Supply and fixing for Copper strip 50 x 6 mm with insulated "V" type porcelain saddle to support copper strip and fixing screws etc. for earth continuity conductor in ground / wall or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing including jointing by tinned copper/brass nuts, bolts and washers in addition to brazing at every joint complete all as specified & directed.

M & L for Refixing of existing serviceable copper / aluminium / GI strip on top of "V" type procelain insulator suitable size, brass nuts and bolt ,screws, aluminium cleats etc.(Procelain insulator if replaced shall be measured separetly) duly straightened properly as directed by Engineer in charge. Note: The distance between two porcelain insulator should be one meter.

M& L for porcelin insulater fixing on wall for supporting the copper strip including brass nuts and bolts drilling hole on wall to fix porcelain insulator etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for carrying out brazing work between existing earthing strip joint, after removing the nut bolt ,scraping the strip surface all as specified by Engr-in-charge

S&F for thermoplastic(polycarbonate) junction box for test point without terminal block of dimension 130x180x77 mm IP 66 halogen free and weather proof including four hexagonal anticorrosive screws for out door installation including taking down unserviceable one. Make : Hensel- Cat part No. KF 0600 H

S&F in repair for Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed incl 3 Nos 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screws for fixing strips to test point including necessary fixing arrangement to fix test point terminal block in junction box complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down old broken and damaged earth pit chamber and M & L for construction of new earth pit chamber with RCC cover and handle of as per electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part Iand PCC 1:2:4 Type B-1 including GI funnel and wire mesh , and synthetic enammeled paint 2 coat as per colour code all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M & L GI tubing medium grade 40mm bore as in supports to air termination rods embedded in PCC bed blocks, incl taking down old u/s ones, complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- PCC bed blocks shall be measured and paid saperately under relevant item of this schedule.

M&L for PCC (1:3:6), type C-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) for foundation for pole mass concrete etc including demolition complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair Air termination, single pointed, aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300mm long complete fixed on wall/roof including fixing arrangement all as specified and directed.

M & L for fabrication of display board for earth pit nos, lacation and periodical test results for power circuit earthing, machinary earthing ,lightening conductor earthing, made of MS sheet 4.0 mm thick sheet, rectangular welding on 12 mm dia rod of height from ground level 30 cm including fixing in PCC 1:2:4 with 20 cm X 20 cm X 20 cm (below ground level) grade aggregate foundation to be carried out at different location technical area/domestic area . Dimention of board shall be 30 cm X 25 cm. or any other dimention not more than 0.075 sq mtr of MS Board The instruction shall be written black painted board in white letters not less than 2 " size for all type of boards complete all as specified and dierected by the Engineer -in-charge including taking down unsv one. Note :- (a) All necessary MS sheet, aluminium screws and PCC works etc are deemed to the rate quoted by the contractor (b) The fabrication of condents on the screen printing should be collected before printing the board from Engineer-in-charge.

S & F Back Fill compound conductolite (BFC Conductolite) ground enhancing material in conventional copper earthing on chemical earthing depends upon the ground condition.( Each bag in 25 Kg)
