For Painting prior approval for superior brand/ make of the paint should be taken from engineer in charge.The rate shall be inclusive of supply, erection and dismantling of staging and scaffolding and other temporary arrangements required for the purpose of assembly, erection and launching of girders. The rate shall also be inclusive of cold straightening of deformed and bent girder parts before/after their assembly. Metalising girder/ girder component such as cross girder, top chord channels, bracing etc of BG new steel girder as directed by engineer with epoxy paint spray not less than two layers after preparing surface by sand/grit blasting as per provision laid in Appendix VI of IRS B-1179 code (latest alteration) including one coat wash primer one coat epoxy zinc crome primer and two coat of epoxy paint with approved paint conforming to IS specification for fabrication & erection of steel girder bridge ( RS B 1-79) as corrected up to date with contractor’s own materials, tools, plants, labour, handling, rehandling if any including all lead, lifts descents, crossing of track/ obstruction etc. complete in all respect and as per direction of the engineer. Providing and fixing of reflective Aluminium metal body raised (Imported) road studs (Make Swareflex or equivalent) size 100 x 100 x 19.8 mm having anchor bolt with one shank (length 50mm) and glass panel having 43 piece of special purpose reflective glass elements each side (190 tilted), having reflective values according to ASTM D 4280 & certified as per the standard EN 1463 (Color: White/ Red/ Yellow). The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface at suitable spacing using the adhesive conforming to IS. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer. Diamond Grade Aluminum backed Flexible Prismatic Sheeting: The “Aluminum-backed flexible prismatic (‘AFP’)” sheeting shall consist of Yellow colored flexible prismatic sheeting with non-metallic prismatic lens as retro reflective elements and conforming to ASTM D 4956-09 Type VI specification for reboundable retro reflective sheeting. This flexible prismatic sheeting shall be of 1ft width and laminated at the back with a 50 micron thick Aluminum (Al) foil with pressure sensitive adhesive and liner. Further, this flexible prismatic sheeting shall have screen printed arrow/slant line pattern in black color on top in a continuous roll format.Neither AFP sheeting nor the flexible prismatic sheeting used in it shall crack when slowly bent in 1 second time around a 1/8th inch mandrel after being conditioned for 24hrs at 0°C and tested as per section S2.2.2. of ASTM D 4956-09. The AFP sheeting, with the liner removed, shall be applied with a neoprene contact adhesive with Polychloroprene as base, viscosity of 200-450 cps and solid content of 20-30%. Once applied, the edges of the product shall be sealed all around with a two-part epoxy based structural adhesive and shall be extremely resistant to peel-off.A test report from institutes like ARAI/CRRI confirming to above mentioned flexibility and ASTM-D4956-09 Type-VI retro reflectivity performance of the flexible prismatic sheeting used in AFP shall be submitted by the tenderer during prequalification and supply of material.

Supply & installation of precoated galvanized iron profile sheets (size, shape and pitch of corrugation as approved by Engineer-incharge) 0.50 mm +/- 5% total coated thickness (TCT), Zinc coating 120gsm as per IS: 277 in 240mpa steel grade, 5-7 microns epoxy primer on both side of the sheet and polyester top coat 15-18 microns. Sheet should have protective guard film of 25 microns minimum to avoid scratches while transportation and should be supplied in single length upto 12 metre or as desired by Engineer-incharge. The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling /self tapping screws of size (5.5x 55mm) with EPDM seal or with polymer coated J or L hooks, bolts and nuts 8mm diameter with bitumen and G.I. limpet washers or with G.I. limpet washers filled with white lead complete upto any pitch in horizontal/ vertical or curved surfaces excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including cutting to size and shape wherever required.
