Terrace treatment (110 mm average thickness)

Note: The rates in respect of item are applicable for the net quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soils and @ 50% in respect of rock from the corresponding stack/truck measurements.
Construction of Granular sub base by providing coarse graded material as per specified grading, spreading in uniform layers on the prepared surface, mixing at optimum moisture content and compacting with vibratory roller/mechanical earth rammer to achieve the desired density complete.

Providing pre-construction anti-termite treatment (with chloropyrifos / Lindane 1% concentration) generally as per IS 6313 (Part-II)-1981 guaranteed for ten years complete. The treatment shall comprise of following stages :-
a). Treatment around foundation, footing & columns :- Soil poisoning from the depth of 500 mm below ground level around RCC/Brick foundations, columns, plinth beams, walls, etc. with chloropyrifos / Lindane (1% concentration) @ 7.50 litres per sq.m. of vertical surface including rodding the earth at 150 mm centre to centre close to the column/ beams/walls surfaces, spraying the chemicals so as to soak the soil right to the bottom complete including tamping back the soil into place after this operation.
b). Treatment around internal/external walls or plinth beams :- Soil poisoning from the ground level upto the level of filled up earth surface around junction of internal/external wall and floor with chloropyrifos (1% concentration) @ 7.50 litres/m². of vertical surface so as to establish continuity of the vertical chemical barrier on inner wall surfaces from ground level including making a small channel of size 30 mm x 30 mm, rodding the channel at 150 mm centre to centre to pour the chemical, spraying the chemicals so as to soak the soil right to the bottom complete including tamping back the soil into place after this operation.
c). Treatment of soil below sub grade of floor :- Soil poisoning of the top surface of the filled earth within plinth wall with chloropyrifos / Lindane @ 5.00 litres/m². of the surface including making hole 50 to 75 mm deep at 150 mm centre to centre both ways.
d). Treatment of soil along external perimeter of building :- Soil poisoning along external perimeter of the building including making holes with iron rods, 300 mm deep @ 150 mm intervals filling these holes with chloropyrifos / Lindane @ 7.50 litres/m². of the perimeter walls. In the event of filling being more than 300 mm, the external perimeter treatment shall extend to the full depth of filling upto the ground level so as to ensure continuity of the chemical barrier.
Note: The amount at the rate of 10% of security deposit deducted from the item shall be withheld by the department for a period of 10 years from the date of completion (as per service guarantee)
Cement concrete 1:3:6 using graded stone aggregate 40 mm maximum size including machine mixing, consolidating, finishing, curing etc. complete excluding formwork, as per drawings, specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Forming vertical piles including initial test piles by boring through fill and all kinds of soils including hard murram with gravel and chiseling through occational boulders and soft/ weathered / hard rock by continuous mud circulation technique and baller boring / rotary drilling method as specified , including conducting standard penetration test all as per instruction of Engineer in charge, carting away the bored excavated soil up to lead of 600M , fixing reinforcement as per drawing, casting the piles up to 20 m Depth with specified grade concrete by tremie only, using graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20 mm, ordinary portland cement with a minimum cement content of 400 kg per cubic meter of concrete with water cement ratio not exceeding 0.40 including the water content in the aggregate, admixture etc. all as specified.
The rate includes concreting a minimum of 600 mm above specified cut off level, cutting / breaking of piles from concrete top upto cut off level specified (pile breaking shall be done by manual hand breaker or chiseling only) including cost of all materials, admixtures (Nephthalene melamine based of preferred preferred super plasticisors), necessary plant, equipment, pilling / boring ring or rotary pilling equipment and removal of same after completion as required & directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Excavation, dewatering by pumps or well points and also for cut off chipping, forming / finishing pile top at cut off level all as required etc. excluding the cost of steel reinforcement but including the cost of boring with bentone solution and temporary casing for appropriate length for setting out and removal of same complete. (Approximate depth of pile is 18-22 meters)

Note: a) Binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own cost and will not be measured for payment. b) Reinforcement steel of Grade Fe 500 conforming to IS 1786 TMT BARS shall be of preferred make from their own plants rolled from virgin material and not from their rerollers or conversion agents. c) The contractor shall supply copy of Documentary evidence of purchase of steel, test certificate from the firms and also testing from third party if required to be arranged at no extra cost.
Providing, fabricating, cutting, erecting and fixing in position structural steel works of any shape using ISMBs, joists, Channels, angles, flates Tees, bars etc., of steel grade Yst 250 as per IS:2062 at all levels including welding, painting with a primary coat of preferred steel primer and two coat of enamel panits, transportation etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Note: 1) Structural steel conforming to IS: 2062 and IS:4923 2) The contractor shall supply copy of Documentary evidence of purchase of steel, test certificates from these firms and also testing from third party, if required to be arranged at no extra cost. 3) Welding weights, connections, bolts nuts, anchor bolts including chemical anchoring shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rate. 4) All holes will be made by drilling only. Providing cement based waterproofing treatment to roofs/terraces/ Cahajja/Sunken (average thickness 65mm) by cleaning the concrete surfaces, giving injections to top slab as required with cement and preferred waterproofing compound solution to fill up all inherent holes, voids honey-combs etc. in the concrete slab, setting brick bat coba in waterproof mortar 1:4 with necessary gradient for easy flow of water and continue the treatment along the inner faces of adjoining wall upto a height of 300 mm in the shape of vatas, with waterproof plaster 1:3 finished smooth with trovel in cement complete. (The treatment shall be tested by ponding water for a period of 10 days & dose of waterproofing compound solution is as per manufacturer's specification)
Stages of treatment: (a) Applying a slurry coat of neat cement using 2.75 kg/sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS. 2645 and preferred by Engineer-in-charge over the RCC slab including adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. (b) Laying brick bats with mortar using broken bricks/brick bats 25 mm to 63 mm size with cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and preferred by Engineer-in-charge over 20 mm thick layer of cement mortar of mix 1:4 (1 cement :4 coarse sand ) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and preferred by Engineer-in-charge to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs.
(c) After two days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry using 2.75 kg/ sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and preferred by Engineer-in charge. (d) Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:3 (1 cement :3 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and preferred by Engineer-in-charge.
Cement concrete flooring 50 mm thick consisting of 38 mm thick cement concrete 1:1½:3 with 10mm size aggregate as under layer, and 12mm thick wearing surface with METALLIC FLOOR HARDNER cement being mixed with metallic floor hardener of preferred quality and make in proportion of 4:1 (4 cement : 1 Metallic floor hardener) by weight and cement hardener compound mixed with 6mm down graded stone aggregate in the ratio of 1:2 by volume including, ramming, finishing, to required levels or slope, providing & fixing dividing strips, curing etc. complete generally as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Providing and fixing in position false flooring of finished floor height (FFH) of 300 mm from the existing floor level of preferred make at all levels in perfect shape, size, alignment, level, free from any undulation and warpping all as directed including tools & tackles, all taxes, liability as per labour laws, safety appliances, scaffolding including cleaning etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge essentially as specified below:
a) PANELS : Providing and Fixing 600 mm x 600 mm composite steel cementitious panel with thickness between 30 mm to 35 mm consisting of outside steel sheet surface and cavity filled with non combustible lightweight cementitious compound, panel generally confirming to Class "O" fire rating as per BS 476. The steel surface is protected by galvanizing and epoxy coating allround. Minimum thickness of steel sheet should be 0.55 mm.
b) PEDESTAL: Providing and fixing sub structure support consisting of steel pedestal head assembly of 75 mm x 75 mm x 3 mm thick top plate @ 600 mm c/c in both directions mechanically riveted to min 80 mm long rolled formed stud and 2 check nuts for level adjustment and arresting verticle movement, 25 mm OD steel pedestal pipe @ 600 mm c/c in both directions of required length to acheive FFH of 300 mm, the pedestal pipe is riveted to steel base plate of 100 mm x 100 mm x 2 mm thick @ 600 mm c/c in both directions with stiffening folds for enhanced strength and grip to glue. The bottom of the pipe shall be beaded to acheive perpendicularity and resistance to moment arising from lateral loading. The pedestal shall be able to carry an axial load of 15 kN and overturning moment of 100 Nm. All steel components shall be electrogalvanized. The sub structure assembly shall be suitably anchored to the floor with epoxy based adhesive and screws as directed by engineer-in-charge.
c) STRINGER: Providing and fixing electro galvanised hollow steel section stringer of size 20 mm wide x 30 mm depth 0.80 mm thick x 570 mm long to support false floor pannels from all four sides for alignment. The stringers to have counter sunk holes at both ends to accomodate bolting of M6 machine screws to the pedestal head assembly.
d). Providing and fixing hard PVC beading of shape preferred by Engineer to the all edges of floor tiles. The beading shall be push and fitted firmly with suitable groove in floor tiles & preferred quality adhesive to avoid any gap between tiles and to avoid any A.C. leakage.
e) The rate should include cost for cutting of panel for UPS, projection AC, electrical panel and other instruments as required and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
f) The whole false flooring assembly shall be capable of carrying UDL of minimum 1000 kg/ sqm, concentrated load of minimum 40 kg/ sq.cm, rolling load of min. 200 kgs with min. 5000 passes having factor of safety of atleast 3 in all of the above conditions.
g) Dimensional tolerance: Floor panel flatness :- ± 1.00 mm in any direction Floor panel width or length from specified size :- ± 1.00 mm Floor panel squareness :- ± 0.50 mm
h). The edges of the tiles opening made for the cable entry in the tiles shall be finished by filling the edges with suitable compound as directed by engineer-in-charge.
i). At the bottom of each floor tiles 4 nos. cleats of 50mm length each made out of aluminium angle 25 mm x 25 mm x 5 mm thick shall be fixed on each corner with smaller head screws.
Providing & applying 2mm thick POLYURETHANE HYBRID FLOORING using preferred make Heavy Duty floor finish Polyurethane concrete system consisting of primer coat of preffered make and 2 mm thick Self smoothing topping of preferred make along with rectification of any pot holes present in existing floor with suitable and similar filling material.
The surface should be prepared with anchor grooves 8mm x 8mm along the perimeter of the floor and around drains, machine legs, columns etc. in the specified area, complete as per drawing, generally as per manufacturer’s recommendation / specification and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Fabrication, supply and fixing of extruded aluminum alloy double wall remote control Rolling shutters with side one operator drive unit and Direct drive option, confirming to IS 6248 (1979). Extrusion for the components of rolling shutters shall be conforming to 53000 (NE5) or 64430 (HE30) of IS: 733 etc. complete as per drawings, specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
NOTE :- Curtain shall be built up from interlocking lath sections of aluminum alloy conforming to 53000 (NE5) or 64430 (HE30) of IS: 733. The thickness of lath sections for curtains shall not be less than 18 gauge (1.25 mm) section, with nominal profile height as 78 mm +/- 0.05 mm. The lath section shall have interlocking curls at both edges and a deep corrugation at the centre with a bridge depth of 16 mm to provide sufficient curtain stiffness for resisting manual pressure and normal wind pressure. Each lath section shall be continuous single piece without any welded joint. When interlocked, the lath section shall have a distance of nominal 75 mm between rolling centres. The Lock Plate provided at the bottom of the shutter, shall be composed of a mild steel plate (not less than 3 - 3.15 mm thick), reinforced with mild steel angle not less than 35 x 35 x 5 mm at bottom of the plate.
The lock plate shall also be provided with pulling handles, one handle for 2.5 m width and 2 handles for widths above 2.5 m. P/F CPVC pipes of class SDR 11 of preferred make having thermal salbility for hot & cold water supply including all CPVC plain & brass threaded, fixing with clamps, jointing the pipes with one step CPVC solvent, cost of cutting chases and making good the same, testing the joints with pressure of 6 kg/sqcm etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-ChargeNote.-The measurement shall be taken along the centre line of pipes and fittings or specials but excluding flanges.
Providing and fixing factory made 30 mm thick pre laminated PVC door shutter (conforming to IS: 4020) with PVC door Frame (Choukhat) of preferred make consisting of followings : 1. PVC door frame of size 50x47mm with wall thickness of 5mm, made out of extruded 5mm thick rigid PVC foam sheet, mitred ar corners and joined with 2nos. 150mm long brackets of 15x15 mm M.S. square tube, the vertical door frame profiles to be reinforced with 19x19 mm M.S. square tube of 19 gauge, EPDM rubber gasket weather seal to be provided through out the frame. The door frame to be fixed to the wall using M.S. screws of 65/100 mm size, complete as per manufacturer's specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
2. PVC door shutter consisting of frame made out of M.S. tubes of 19 gauge thickness and of size 19 mm x 19 mm for styles and 15x15 mm for top & bottom rails. M.S. frame shall have a coat of steel primers of preferred make and manufacture. M.S. frame covered with 5 mm thick heat moulded PVC 'C' channel of size 30 mm thickness, 70 mm width out of which 50 mm shall be flat and 20 mm shall be tapered in 45 degree angle on both side forming styles and 5 mm thick, 95 mm wide PVC sheet out of which 75mm shall be flat and 20 mm shall be tapered in 45 degree on the inner side to form top and bottom rail and 115 mm wide PVC sheet out of which 75 mm shall be flat and 20 mm shall be tapered on both sides to form lock rail.
Top, bottom and lock rails shall be provided both side of the panel. 10 mm (5 mm x 2 ) thick, 20 mm wide cross PVC sheet be provided as gap insert for top rail & bottom rail, paneling of 5 mm thick both side PVC sheet to be fitted in the M.S. frame welded/ sealed to the styles & rails with 7 mm (5 mm+2 mm) thick x 15 mm wide PVC sheet beading on inner side, and the styles & rails with 7 mm (5 mm+2 mm) thick x 15 mm wide PVC sheet beading on inner side,
and joined together with solvent cement adhesive. An additional 5 mm thick PVC strip of 20 mm width is to be stuck on the interior side of the 'C' Channel using PVC solvent adhesive & including all fittings, fixtures, etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge, manufacturer's specification & drawing. Note: Fittings and fixtures shall be as indicated in the tender drawing.
Providing and fixing heavy quality fancy variety C.P. brass screw down 15mm n.b. concealed type Stop cocks of preferred make confirming to IS:8931 as per drawing, specifications & as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and fixing CPVC/HDPE FLOOR TRAP (with C.P. brass/stainless steel grating with hinge) of self cleaning design with 75mm outlet having a minimum water seal of 50 mm with stainless steel grating on top including necessary 1:2:4 cement concrete for embedding the trap etc. complete, conforming to IS : 3989 and as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in Charge.
Providing and fixing 0.50 mm TCT color coated Galvalume profile sheets of preferred make, in roof, facia including all overlaps metring, supplying and fixing 'J' hooks bolts, nuts, self drilling screws with gasket and washers as per manufacturers code of practice and cutting the sheets as required including the cost og scaffolding, work at all heights etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in Charge.
Providing and fixing in position liquid soap dispenser of preferred make with C.P. brass brackets, cap etc. fixed to wall with C.P. screws and rawl plugs all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in Charge.
Providing, Hoisting and installing at required elevation moulded three layer HDPE cylindrical vertical water storage tanks of preferred make of the following capacities with suitable S.M. C. cover at top including the cost of labour for making hole in the storge tank for inlet, outlet, scour and overflow, providing and fixing necessary GI nipples ranging from 15mm to 50 mm n.b. of average 150mm length with double check nuts, washers, 25mm dia. ball valve (brass) with brass spindle of preferred make and quality etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in Charge.
