Earthwork in open / Surface Excavation not exceeding 300mm in depth but exceeding 1.5m in width as well as 10 sq.m on plan in all types of soil, mixture of gravel and disintegrated rock, hard stiff clay including grading and levelling neatly by breaking clods, disposal of excavated earth upto 50m lead & lift upto 1.5m, (Disposed soil to be levelled by breaking clods, if any and neatly dressed) etc., all complete as per specifications.
Earthwork in open Excavation for Road work by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas in all types of soil, mixture of gravel, disintegrated rock, hard stiff clay, etc., including trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections, preparation and consolidation of sub-grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth, making good the undulations with earth and rerolling the sub-grade, disposal of surplus earth with in a lead upto 50 metres, etc., all completed as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.
Providing gravel base of approved thickness for flooring, kerbwall, road berms etc., including supplying gravel, spreading gravel in uniform layers, watering, ramming, consolidating, dressing the top surface to the required level, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Disposal of surplus excavated earth / Debris by collecting, loading, transporting by mechanical means and unloading them at places as shown by the Department within a lead specified below and levelling, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1) The rates in respect of this item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of rock from the corresponding stack / truck measurements. 2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.
Exceeding 1 Km but not exceeding 2 Kms
Clearing heavy jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth upto 30cm measured at a height of 1m above ground level, removal of rubbish upto a distance of 60m outside the periphery of the area cleared, cutting and stacking the useful fire wood if any within an initial lead of 100 mtrs etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.
Providing and laying in position of plain cement concrete 1 : 3 : 6 (1 cement : 3 sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 25mm nominal size) using hard granite broken stone for all insitu levelling courses in foundations, floor, roof screeding, encasing pipes, etc., including mechanical mixing, ramming, compaction, levelling, curing, dewatering, if any including the cost of formwork etc., all complete as per specifications.
Providing and laying brick masonry in Cement Mortar 1:6 with well burnt chamber bricks / FALG Bricks of approved quality in all shapes and sizes including scaffolding, curing, raking out joints, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Plastering with Cement Mortar 1:5, 12mm thick for brickwork / Concrete on its external faces at all lifts including scaffolding, curing and forming grooves wherever necessary all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-incharge.
Construction of Granular sub-base (Grading-I) by providing close grade Material, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed Material to work site, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per clause 401 of MORT&H specifications for road and bridge works( 5th Revision) and as directed by the Engineer - in - charge.
Providing and laying of Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) for Sub-base and base course conforming to clause 406 of MORT&H Specification for road and bridge works (Fifth Revision) using 53mm downgraded stone aggregate including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregate, premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver/motor grader in sub-base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, etc., all as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion (SS1 grade conforming to IS 8887) on prepared surface of granular base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.75 Kg/Sq.m using mechanical bitumen distributor, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer.
Supplying and spraying of Tack coat using bituminous emulsion (RS conforming to IS 8887) at the rate of 0.20 Kgs. per Sq.m. on the prepared granular surface including cleaning with wire brushes, small pick axes sweeping with brooms or soft brush and finally dusting with old gunny bags and compressed air to receive bituminous treatment all complete as per specification and as directed.
Supplying and spraying of Tack coat using bituminous emulsion (RS conforming to IS 8887) at the rate of 0.25 Kgs. per sqm. on the prepared surface including cleaning with wire brushes, small pick axes sweeping with brooms or soft brush and finally dusting with old gunny bags and compressed air to receive bituminous treatment all complete as per specification and as directed.
Providing and laying of Bituminous Macadam layer conforming to clause 504 (Grading II) of MORT&H specification for road and bridge works (Fifth Revision) using VG30 grade bitumen with minimum bitumen content of 3.4 % by mass of total mix, including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, bitumen etc., preheating and mixing at hot mix plant, cleaning of the road surface before laying the mix, application of tack coat, carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, laying the hot premixed material with paver finisher, rolling with power roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface and to achieve the desired compaction, including running expenses of all plants and machineries and proper traffic control during execution, quality control tests at required interval, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note: - 1) Cleaning the road surface shall be carried out with wire brush, sweeping with mechanical broom and dusting by using compressed air as per specifications. 2) Cost of Tack coat will be paid for seperately under relevant item. 3) Pre-heating of the mineral aggregate and bitumen to the specified temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content as per mix design shall be carried out at hot mix plant of specified capacity as per MORT&H Specifications. 4) Carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved means to laying site. Laying the hot premixed material over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber.
Grading-II (19 mm nominal size) for 50-75mm Layer thick
Providing and laying of Bituminous Concrete layer conforming to clause 507 (Grading II) of MORT&H Specification for road and bridge works (Fifth revision) using VG30 grade bitumen with minimum bitumen content of 5.4 % by mass of total mix, including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, bitumen etc., preheating and mixing at hot mix plant, cleaning of the road surface before laying the mix, application of tack coat, carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, laying the hot premixed material with paver finisher, rolling with power roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface and to achieve the desired compaction, spreading Quarry Dust, including running expenses of all plants and machineries and proper traffic control during execution, quality control tests at required interval, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note: - 1) Cleaning the road surface shall be carried out with wire brush, sweeping with mechanical broom and dusting by using compressed air as per specifications. 2) Cost of Tack coat will be paid for seperately under relevant item. 3) Pre-heating of the mineral aggregate and bitumen to the specified temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content and filler as per mix design shall be carried out at hot mix plant of specified capacity as per MORT&H Specifications. 4) Waste Plastic (Dry Process) : Cost shall be inclusive of collection of waste plastics, cleaning & shredding, shredding machine and mixing of waste plastics with aggregate in hot mix plant as per specifications and conforming to IRC:SP:98-2013.
Grading-II (13.2 mm nominal size) for 30-40mm Layer thick with Waste Plastic (Dry process using 6-8 % of plastic by weight of bitumen) Note:- 5) Carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved means to laying site. Laying the hot premixed material over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber. 6) Supply and evenly spreading of Quarry Dust over the finished layer and cleaning the same, removing small stones before allowing traffic on road.
Collection and supply of Clean gritty gravel including cost of materials conveyance from quarries, stacking them at road side to departmental gauge for pre measurements, etc., all complete as per specifications.
Labour charges for spreading gravel/quarry dust in single layer of 100mm thick for berms on road sides including laying, spreading, watering and rolling with hand roller etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed at site. (Note:- The cost and conveyance of gravel shall be paid separately under relevant items.)
Painting road side kerb wall with one coat of Acrylic water based Road marking paint conforming to IS 164 of make Asian paints (Apcotrack IS) or Berger (Guideline RM 164 Paint) or other approved equivalent make comprising of white and black colour strips and including preparation of surfaces, applying with brush in alternate strips, etc., all complete as per manufacturer specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying 2.5mm thick Hot applied Thermo Plastic Compound of make Berger or other approved equivalent make including reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per Sq.m area, thickness of 2.5mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads for all types of road marking viz., centre line, speed breaker, zebra crossing, arrow marking, etc., by using modern propelled road marking machine with single coat including cost and conveyance of all ingradients such as binder, glass beads, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, inert fillers, colour pigments as per clause 803.4 of MORTH specifications, including cost of all other materials, hire charges for the propelled modern road marking machine, labour charges for mixing ingradients, adding glass beads and heating to the required temperature as per specifications, cleaning the road surface, advance marking of centre line, providing necessary advance cautionary sign boards, red flags, traffic cones all as per traffic rules, safeguarding the newly painted surface till drying the same, labour charges for supervision and all other incidental charges and the finished surface shall be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.
Supplying and fixing of Reflective pavement markers or Road Stud with twin shanks of make 3M or other approved make for lane marking and delineation for night-time visibility which reflects incident light in directions close to the direction from which it came with following specifications conforming to MORT&H specifications including fixing to the road surface by drilling the holes, holes filled with approved epoxy sealants and studs shall be fixed firmly by driving the shanks, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: a) Plastic body of approved colour moulded from ASA (Acrylic Styrene Acrylonitrite) or HPS (HiCompact Polystyrene) or Acrylonitrite Butadiane Styrene (ABS) or any other suitable material shall support a load of 13,635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280 of size shall not exceed 50mm (height) x 100mm (width) x 100mm (length). The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks (of dia. not less than 19±2mm and height not less than 30±2mm) from the body is to be minimum value of 500 Kgf. b) Reflective panels shall consists of number of lenses centering single or dual prismatic cubes capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lense face, lenses shall be moulded of methyl methacrylate conforming to ASTM D788 or equivalent. c) The Slope or retro reflecting surface shall preferably be 35 ± 50 to base and the area of each retro-reflecting surface shall not be less than 13 Sq.cm.
Supplying laying and jointing of RCC hume pipes with collars of class NP-2 as per IS specifications including aligning to proper level and line as directed at site, jointing with Cement Mortar 1:2, curing, etc., complete as per specification.
