Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 sqm, exceeding 50mm but not exceeding 100mm deep including removing the materials to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and stacking, complete all as specified and directed.

Premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm), complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a tack coat on existing black top surfaces with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade conforming to IS:8887 @ 2.5 Kg per Ten Square Metre and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Reflective Convex mirror of 800mm dia, made of polycorbonate material provided with 50mm dia mild steel medium weight pipe post of 1.08m high, duly powder coated fixed on ground with PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of block size 60x60x60 cm in repair including earth work & removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50m, complete all as specified as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make : Tata/ Greenlite/Darkeye/Safari/ Suraksha /Kohinoor or equivalent of makes mentioned in PS.

Preparation of any type of road surfaces by scratching old spots, paints, trading oils greasy spots etc. and applying Thermo Plastic road marking paints as side, side lines of white/yellow colour of width upto 100mm conforming to Ministry of surface Transaport (MORTH) specification for the road and bridge work : 3rd revision, over primer as per manufacturers instructions including glass beads (intermix) type I (most/BS6008A) and provision contained in IRC-35-1997, complete all as specified and directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge. Note : Contractor shall have to furnish the detail that quantity minimum used per square meter is 5.00 Kg/Sqm. Make: ASIAN (PRIMER APCOGRIP AND RETRO REFLECTIVE THERMOPLASTIC ROAD MARKING MATERIAL APCO MARK) or equivalent in performance of makes as specified in particular specifications

Delineators made of ABS plastic fitted with two nos. 100 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made of PMMA on both sides of the post and mounted on mild steel pipe of 50 mm duly powder coated height 1000mm, anti rust etc including fixed in PCC block (size 30x30x30 cm) of PCC 1:2:4 Type B-I, including taking down old delineators, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make : Cat pt No - DA-952 GP ASB of make Dark Eye or equivalent in performance of make Greenlite/Yash/Gunnebo/makes specified in PS. Note : Cost of PCC and earth work is deemed to be included in unit cost.

Rough excavation not exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out in hard/ dense soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting with power roller of capacity 8 -12 tonne, complete all as specified and directed.

Soling (or sub base) 200mm thick with broker boulders or quarried stone, inter stices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed.

150mm thick (Compacted thickness) WBM in two equal layers 75mm (each layer compacted seprately) with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) of granite, trap or basalt spreading and compaction with 8 to 12 tonne power roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a prime coat on prepared surfaces with cationic bitumen emulsion SS-1 grade conforming to IS:8887 @ 7.5 Kg per Ten Square Metre and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. -in-Charge.

Excavating in trenches, not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, and for laying of cable or pipes etc. not exceeding 10 sq m on plan and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth and getting out in any type of soil, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Continuous brick edging, with width equal to the width of the brick, laid dry on end vertically with burnt clay bricks of sub class 'B' bricks, complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of excavated material to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point , complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Note for item No. 2,3 & 14 : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 9.0 KN ( as per MORTH 5th revision) and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4. (c) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 34.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.
