REPAIR /MAINT OF CI/DI PIPE LINE, SLUICE VALVES AT DOMESTIC AREA AND TECH AREA AT AF STN SURATGARH

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m deep for laying of water pipe lines/taking out pipe lines and getting out in soft/loose of soil including forming bottom surface to required level and slope complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exe 2.5 cm soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up CI/DI/GI water mains 80/100 mm dia from trenches (including all fittings), with spigot and socket ends and lead/tyton/Flanged joints including burning out joints and recovering lead complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement of Gun-metal, globe or gate valves screwed down high pressure, heavy duty (ISI marked), with iron wheel head, screwed both ends for iron pipe or for unions suitable for 20 mm bore pipe, including taking down old unserviceable complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches by cutting of road crossing, PCC hard standing for taking out/laying of pipe including making good the existing surface to match the original surface by using -PCC 1:2:4 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking up old unserviceable Air valves, Material and labour for Air release valve with two air out lets confirming to IS 14845 of size 50 mm dia bore and fixing in DI/GI/CI water supply mains of size 50mm to 150 mm dia with all fittings complete all as specified and as directed

Fixing only cast iron non return valve of size 80 mm bore both end flanged, long body, class PN-1.6 conforming to IS 14846-2000 (ISI marked) with iron wheel and stainless steel spindle and fly nut, bolts, washers and rubber gasket etc, fixed in replacement of existing unserviceable valve, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - Cast iron non return valve of size 80mm bore shall be issued under Schedule 'B' store.

Supply and fixing in replacement CI non return valve of size 100 mm bore without bypass arrangement type conforming to IS:5312 with flanged ends, swing type including nuts, bolts, washer and rubber gaskets complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Fixing only cast iron non return valve of size 250 mm bore both end flanged, long body, class PN-1.6 conforming to IS 14846-2000 (ISI marked) with iron wheel and stainless steel spindle and fly nut, bolts, washers and rubber gasket etc, fixed in replacement of existing unserviceable valve, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - Cast iron non return valve of size 250mm bore shall be issued under Schedule 'B' store.

Fixing only CI foot valve of size 250 mm dia, lift and swing, single door IS 4038. Complete all as specified and directed. Note: - Cast iron foot valve of size 250mm bore shall be issued under Schedule 'B' store.

Material and labour including jointing and testing of cast iron sluice valves of size 80 mm bore class PN-1.6, conforming to IS : 14846 flanged ends drilled having Stainless steel spindle with cast iron wheel at top complete with nuts, bolts, washer etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Fixing only cast iron sluice valve of size 250 mm bore both end flanged, long body, class PN-1.6 conforming to IS 14846-2000 (ISI marked) with iron wheel and stainless steel spindle and fly nut, bolts, washers and rubber gasket etc, fixed in replacement of existing unserviceable sluice valve, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - Cast iron sluice valve of size 250mm bore shall be issued under Schedule 'B' store.

Dismantling of cast iron work of any description complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing joist channel angle or tee sections fixed independently without connecting plate Etc of Fe-410 W Gde E-250 quality B complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing of plain or chequered channels square cut or notched ordinary and counter sunk forming holes with riveted, bolted or welded attachment FE-410W-(Gde-E 250 ) quality ‘A’ for using pit cover, tank cover etc. complete all as specified and directed.

Preparation of old painted surface of MS/CI pipes such as rising main, distribution mains, washout and over flow pipes, MS covers of valve pit and canal drains and painting with one coat of synthetic enamel paint, as per colour code given by the department, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - The rates includes for writing and marking description of pipes with white enamel paint.

Preparation of new or previously untreated surface of MS/CI pipes such as rising main, distribution mains, washout and over flow pipes, MS covers of valve pit and canal drains and painting with one coat of synthetic enamel paint, as per colour code given by the department, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - The rates includes for writing and marking description of pipes with white enamel paint.

Material and labour for Rendering 10mm thick on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up existing DI pipe line of size 80 mm and removing old unserviceable Tyton joint (push-on-joint) and supply, fixing and testing of Tyton joint (push-on-joint) and relaying the pipe line complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking up existing DI pipe line of size 100 mm removing old unserviceable Tyton joint (push-on-joint) and supply, fixing and testing of Tyton joint (push-on-joint) and relaying the pipe line complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking up existing DI pipe line of size 150 mm removing old unserviceable Tyton joint (push-on-joint) and supply, fixing and testing of Tyton joint (push-on-joint) and relaying the pipe line complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking up existing DI pipe line of size 200 mm removing old unserviceable Tyton joint (push-on-joint) and supply, fixing and testing of Tyton joint (push-on-joint) and relaying the pipe line complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for Item No 51.00 to 54.00 above: - 1. Excavation and Earthwork shall be paid separately. 2. Incase existing DI pipe line damaged during taking up the same shall be replaced with new DI pipe of existing size. Rate shall be included in quoted rate.

Material and labour for demolition of old valve pit in replacement the construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 120cmx120cmx120cm (Type 'B') (internal dimensions) of chamber, depth of chamber to be reckoned from the top of PCC in foundation to top of MS cover and including MS sheet cover fabricated from 3.15mm thick MS sheet and frame of angle iron 50x50x6mm with fixing arrangement, hinges and locking arrangement and painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide on MS cover and frame including necessary excavation earth work in any type of soil returning, filling in, disposal of surplus soil, PCC (1:2:4) work, complete all as specified. Ref drawing: - CE AF/STD-28/94 sheet Nos 1/2 & 2/2 dated 01.02.94.

Material and labour for demolition of old valve pit in replacement the construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 90cmx90cmx90cm (Type 'B') (internal dimensions) of chamber, depth of chamber to be reckoned from the top of PCC in foundation to top of MS cover and including MS sheet cover fabricated from 3.15mm thick MS sheet and frame of angle iron 50x50x6mm with fixing arrangement, hinges and locking arrangement and painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide on MS cover and frame including necessary excavation earth work in any type of soil returning, filling in, disposal of surplus soil, PCC (1:2:4) work, complete all as specified. Ref drawing: - CE AF/STD-28/94 sheet no 1/2 & 2/2 dated 01.02.94.

Note: - (i) Since this work pertains to water supply of station so timely action is the utmost essential criterion, so action shall be initiated within 8 hours after receiving order (through Phone call, Text message, site Order or any other means) from Engineer in charge/JE E/M, if due to any unavoidable circumstance contractor is not able to perform the work within 8 hours then work shall be initiated by next morning/Day with proper justification about unavoidable circumstance to Engineer In charge, else Rs 1000/- per delay day penalty shall be imposed over the contractor, Decision of Engineer In charge/ Accepting officer shall be final in this regard.
