ANNUAL COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE REPAIRS TO DG SETS AND UPS SYSTEM AND ALLIED WORKS OF E/M INSTALLATIONS UNDER GE CHENNAI

Comprehensive maintenance of DG set of capacity 160 KVA of MES/ SM No. 013/6051-DG/17 installed at Signal centre including servicing/ overhauling and repair with replacement of unserviceable spare parts/ defective components and attending once in a month under mentioned Jobs to ensure its satisfactory performance all as specified and directed. (a) Checking the fan belt and adjusting tension. (b) Checking the fuel and oil filter ascertaining its condition and cleaning. (c) Checking the air filter and its oil level, cleaning the oil filter. (d) Checking the FIP performance and oil level. (e) Checking the tappet clearance and maintaining the valve distance. (f) Checking the fuel pump timing and adjusting if required. (g) Tightening base bolts and nuts and mounting bolts and nuts. (h) Checking the coupling bolts and adjustment, checking the self starter and Dynamo. (j) Checking the battery distilled water levels and topping up to the required level. (k) Checking of carbon brushes, engine oil including draining out old oil and refilling with fresh engine oil. (l) Checking the loose connection if any in the panel board and tightening the same. (m) Checking the anti vibration mounting adjusting the bolt. (n) Checking the oil cooler and pipe. Notes: 1. Replacement of fuel and oil filters will be measured and paid separately. 2. Supply only of spares will be measured and paid separately. However, fixing element is deemed to be included in quoted rate of this item.

All as per item No. 1.00 above but DG sets of capacity 50 KVA of MES/ SM No. 013/6006-DG/06 installed at NFG Sub Station and George gate sewage PH including additional task of checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any all as specified and directed.

All as per item No. 1.00 above but DG sets of capacity 62.5KVA of MES/ SM No. 108762 and 40 KVA of MES/ SM No. LBS3K17/19567-H, 013/6048-DG/17, SR/02/8-9, 013/6004-DG/06 installed at SFA Nandanam, flood pump house, STP inside Fort, George gate and CWE pump house including additional task of checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any all as specified and directed.

All as per item No. 1.00 above but DG sets of capacity 15 KVA of MES/ SM No. B0307351 & G11K458318 and 25 KVA of MES/ SM No. 1323892 & 013/6050-DG/17 installed at seven wells, NFG, Wallagha gate and STP PGOE including additional task of checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any all as specified and directed.

All as per item No. 1.00 above but DG set of capacity 30 KVA of MES/ SM No. 192668 installed at PGOE pump house station including additional task of checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any all as specified and directed.

All as per item No. 1.00 above but DG set of capacity 7.5 KVA of MES/ SM No. 155024 moveable trolley type including additional task of checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any all as specified and directed.

All as per item No. 1.00 above but DG set of capacity 100 KVA of MES/ SM No. 013-6005-04-06 installed at Camp No. 1 Pump House including additional task of checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any all as specified and directed.

Supply only the following spares for DG sets of various capacities of make Kirloskar Engine/ Ashok Leyland Engine/ MEDOS Engine/ Ruston:-

(a) Carbon bushes for alternator

(b) Battery terminal socket including soldering.

(c) Diesel filter.

(d) Oil filter for Kirloskar engine.

(e) Oil filter for Ashoka Leyland engine.

(f) Oil filter for MEDOS engine.

(g) Oil filter for Ruston engine.

(h) Anti vibration mounting pad.

(j) Ammeter 0 to 60 Amps.

(k) Voltmeter 0 to 500 V.

(l) 1.5Sqmm PVC insulated multistranded copper conductor control cable.

(o) Battery terminal leads to starter of diesel engine provided with brass connector on one end and cable lug on other end.

(p) 2.5 Sqmm PVC insulated multistranded copper conductor cable suitable for DC supply.

(q) Fan belt set for various Gen sets. Make: Fenner

(r) Ignition switch for engine ON/ OFF. Make: Philips

(s) Radiator hose with circular clip.

(t) PVC fuel pipe 3/8" dia.

(u) Frequency meter.

(w) DC Ammeter for battery charging.

(x) Diaphragm rubber coupling.

(y) Rectifier unit for alternator of any capacity.

(ag) Silencer rope of suitable size.

Dismantling the fuel pump from DG set 7.5 KVA to 25 KVA, servicing and overhauling of fuel injector pump including replacement of packing kit, crank shaft, delivery valve, plunger fly wheel, set of ‘O’ ring, set of copper washer and re-calibration/ refixing in position etc., complete all as specified and as specified and directed.

All as per Item No. 9 above but 30 to 40 KVA DG Set.

Scraping, removal of rust and complete removal of existing painting, cleaning and applying spray painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer to DG Set of Capacity 160 KVA, with apple green tint for engine, smoke grey tint for alternator, black for foundation/ base frame and red for all guards including writing of SM/ MES Number on Engine and Alternator all as specified and directed.

M&L for winding of armature winding and field winding with super enamelled copper wire of appropriate gauge including varnishing of insulating material and heating up, testing etc, complete for DG set of capacity 40 to 62.5 KVA installed at SFA Nandanam MES/ SM No 108762 and STP inside Fort MES/ SM No 013-6048-DG/06 including taking out the old burnt windings complete all as specified and directed

Comprehensive Annual maintenance for 30 KVA online UPS system with Batteries installed at Signal Centre including attending to undermentioned Job to ensure its satisfactory performance :- (a) Checking of transformer. (b) Checking of the battery charging section. (c) Checking of SCR Block. (d) Chencking of DC capacitors. (e) Checking of charger chokes. (f) Checking of inverter sections etc.

Supply and replacement of unserviceable battery 12 Volts 92 AH all as specified and directed.

Supply and replacement of unserviceable battery 12 Volts 180 AH all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement over load relay range 6.0-39 Amps complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and providing spare parts kit suitable for contactor and coon type all as directed. Make: BCH

Supply and replacement of contactor suitable for MK-1 starter all as directed.

Supply and replacement of timer suitable for ML-1 star delta starter all as directed.

Sypply and replacement of No volt coil suitable for ML-1 star delta starter all as directed.

Supply and fix star delta starter with single phase protection and relay range form 13 - 32 amps 3 phase 440 volts including taking down the existing unserviceable starter complete all as directed. Make: BCH/ L&T/ Cromption.

S&F ammeter AC 0-60/ AC 0-100 amps with CT Coil including taking down the existing unserviceable ammeter complete all as specified and directed.

S&F volt meter 0-500 volts AC, 3 phase, 50 Hz including taking down the existing unserviceable volt meter complete all as specified and directed.

S&F MCB SPN 40 amps AC 240 volts including taking down the existing unserviceable MCB complete all as specified and directed.

S&F indicating lamp for 3 phase with neon bulbs all as directed.

Supply and fix single phase preventer all as directed.

Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 6mm thick buried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25m deep below GL with top edge of plate not less than 1.5m below GL connected to GI 4mm earthwire by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts, washers made out of GI or steel earth wire protected by GI pipe 15mm bore light grade connected upto switch board incl 20mm bore GI water pipe with funnel and wire mesh all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Pt I including earth chamber PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm grade aggregate with RCC cover slab 1:2:4 type B1, 40mm thick with 8 mm dia TMT bar 140mm c/c both ways and 8mm dia TMT hooks for handle complete all as specified and directed including testing on completion.

Supply and fix in replacement OFF LOAD changeover switch 4 pole, 63 Amps, 440 volts, including sheet metal enclosure along with cable end termination adopter box complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement OFF LOAD changeover switch 4 pole, 100 Amps, 440 volts, including sheet metal enclosure along with cable end termination adopter box complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement OFF LOAD changeover switch 4 pole, 200 Amps, 440 volts, including sheet metal enclosure along with cable end termination adopter box complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement MCB, 4 Pole, 415 volts, 3 phase, 50 c/c, 63 Amps capacity including taking down the existing unserviceable one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement MCB, Triple pole, 415 volts, 3 phase, 50 c/c, 32 amps capacity including taking down the existing unserviceable one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying in trenches, fixed on wall (or) passing through pipes/ in floors including connecting up, testing and commissioning of XLPE insulated screened PVC bedded galvanized steel strip or wire armored, electric power cables (heavy duty) 1100 Volts grade with stranded aluminium conductor of size 50 Sqmm 4 core including taking out existing cable complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying in trenches, fixed on wall (or) passing through pipes/ in floors including connecting up, testing and commissioning of XLPE insulated screened PVC bedded galvanized steel strip or wire armored, electric power cables (heavy duty) 1100 Volts grade with stranded aluminium conductor of size 120 Sqmm 3½ core including taking out existing cable complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches in soft/ loose soil not exceeding 1.5m in wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth and getting out for laying cable all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated material/ soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, lay/ spread in trenches clean dry sand to required width and depth at bottom and top of cable including spreading, levelling, punning for laying/ cushioning of cable all as specified and as directed. Note: Punned thickness only will be considered for payment.

Supply and laying burnt bricks, old size, sub class 'B', laid flat abutting each other, perpendicular to cable with width equal to width of brick laid in trenches for protection of cable all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying GI tube light grade 40mm bore with all fittings laid in trenches/ floor for cable protection and for drawing earth strip/ earth lead wire etc., complete including taking down old pipe complete all as specified and directed. Note: Excavation and earth work required shall be measured and paid separately.

Cutting hard standing/ road for laying of cable/ protection pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 (using 40 mm graded aggregate) for filling and making good of disturbed surfaces of road/ hard standing etc complete all as specified and as directed.
