The successive layer of earth should not be provided until and unless layer under construction is thoroughly compacted. The complete rate quoted by the contractor shall take into account all allowances for labour, hardness, wetness and all kinds of carriage, loading & unloading, total lead and lift of soil involved to the entire satisfaction of Engineer - in -charge conforming fully to specification No. 305 of MORT&H including subsequent and corrigenda issued from time to time. The compaction of work shall be achieved 97% of Modified Proctor Density. The top level of Sub grade should be minimum 1.00 mtr. above the adjoining field / ground levels. The rate should include excavation of road way and using the excavated soil in embankment to ensure that every where 500mm sub grade is prepared afresh with new borrow area soil having minimum CBR value 8% Adjoining field ground levels shall be mean of levels taken in every 250m length at a longitudinal distance of 25 m both sides and 50 m distance from center line of the road longitudinal profile based on above parameters shall be approved and finalized by Engineer-in-charge before GSB is started on earth work. Ensuring that average top of sub grade for whole length shall be 1.20m above adjoining ground level as defined above. Bidders are accordingly advised to inspect the site. The finished road surface will be with 2 meter earthen berms on both side with 1.5 : 1 (B : H) slope for all carriage way road as per attached X-sections. Note:- The above said embankment item inclusive of the following (i) Fly ash /Pond ash ( confirming to table 1 of IRC : SP : 58-2001) of coal or lignite burning Thermal Plants as waste martial obtained from any Thermal Power Station including spreading and compaction in layers as defined in IRC : SP : 58-2001 (ii) Furnishing and laying of the live sods of perennial turf forming grass on embankment slope, verges or other locations shown on the drawing or as embankment slope, verges or other locations shown on the drawing or as directed by the Engineer including preparation of ground fetching of sods and watering (MORT&H Clause 307). (NS) (iii) If soil of CBR 8% is not available then the agency will do appropriate stabilization as per IRC – SP-89-2010 as approved by Engineer and nothing extra shall be paid on this account and it will be incidental to work. No earth work will be allowed from PWD land. Vertiber Grass will be planted and maintained upto DLP on side slopes of embankment which will be incidental to work.
Granular Sub-Base: Providing and laying 100/150 mm thick Granular sub-base consisting of drainage layer confirming to Table 400.1 grading-III of MORT&H specification fifth edition, mixing in mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mix material to the site of work, spreading in uniform layer with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve desired density complete as per clause no 401 of MORT & H specifications 2013. NOTE:- Only crushed stone material should be used no local sand/tibba sand shall be used.
Granular Sub-Base: Providing and laying 100/150 mm thick Granular sub-base consisting of filter layer confirming to Table 400.1 grading-VI of MORT&H specification fifth edition, mixing in mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mix material to the site of work, spreading in uniform layer with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratery power roller to achieve desired density complete as per clause no 401 of MORT & H specifications 2013. NOTE:- Only crushed stone material should be used no local sand/tibba sand shall be used.
Wet Mix Macadam. Providing, laying 250 mm thick, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam(WMM) specification in two layers (125 mm each) including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density. As per MORT&H specification clause 406.(NS)_2013 as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer. Note: only crushed stone material should be used no local sand/ tibba sand shall be used.
Primer Coat : Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion MS Grade on prepared surface of granular base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.60 kg/ sqm using pressure distributor as per MORT&H specification 2013Clause 502.
Tack Coat : Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen VG-10 grade with pressure distributor @ 0.25 Kg/sqm on the prepared granular/ black top surface cleaned with mechanical broom including cost of bitumen as per MORT&H clause no. 503 (5th edition) 2013 as per MoRT&H specification (NS)
Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam : Providing and laying 120 mm thick dense graded bituminous macadam (DBM) in two layers with 100-120 TPH batch type HMP producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-40 @ 4.5 per cent by weight of total mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MoRT&H specification clause No. 505 complete in all respects. If bitumen required more than 4.5% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work.(NS)
