IMPROVEMENT WORK OF MAIN ROAD AND ROAD TOWARDS MI ROOM AND PROVISION OF PAVER BLOCK SIDE WALK AROUND CRICKET TURF AT CGRA TUTICORIN GE (I) (CG) CHENNAI

Material and labour for preparing black top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen of viscocity VG 30 at the rate of 5 Kg per 10 Sqm over black top surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for laying and consolidating bituminous premix asphaltic semi-dense concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with minimum 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix by using paving bitumen (VG-30 Grade) any penetration mixed in hot mix plant, spread and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber, gradient and to uniform surface complete all as specified and as directed. Note: [a] Contractor shall use both 8 to 12 ton tandem vibratory roller & Pneumatic tyre roller (PTR) [b] The contractor will be required to get the job mix formula based on marshal method designed from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras or from any NIT/Government Engineering colleges/any other Govt. /NABL accredited laboratory approved by the GE. The cost on account of job mix design and testing of bitumen and road materials shall be borne by the contractor [c] The binder content mentioned above is minimum/ tentative and shall be provided as per actual job mix design. [d] The unit Rate quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of making good of any undulation/damages in wearing surfaces, where semi sense asphaltic concrete to be laid.

Material and labour for repairs to potholes of depth exceding 30mm and area not exc 1 Sqm each including sweeping free trom dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, but making good by applying tack coat @ 5 Kg per 10 sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm, blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen grade VG-10 with bitumen content @ 4% by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant, spread and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8-12 tonne power road roller and rolled to a uniform smooth surface (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine, fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heaters and profile shoe heater etc driven by the skilled operator on road surface as per MoRTH specifications complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F for Rubber speed breaker of size 500mm x 350mm x 50mm, yellow and black color, with refelctive arrow including fixed fixed with epoxy and all accessories on bituminous /concrete surfaces as per manufacturer’s instructions complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing for Solar road stud having 3 LEDs of colours red/ yellow to a side (total 6 Nos) housed in a tough pressure die casted aluminum alloy housing of size 130x120mm of height 20 mm with built in stem-nail 30 mmx 50 mm long for fixing with epoxy. LEDs, solar cells, battery & light sensor well protected in side under tough unbreakable polvcarbonate transparent sheet roof. System workable for 2-3 days (nights) after full @ & 1600- each charge in 8-10 hours complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector, dynamically designed having high impact strength all as per Dark Eye model No. DA 972.0 or equivalent of other specified makes and fitted with MS stud of suitable size with epoxy as per manufactures instructions on bituminous /concrete surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavating over areas, not exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.
