Overhauling oil skimmer, day-to-day repair/ maintenance of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and day-to-day assistance to operation of Oil skimmer and ETP at Central Workshop, Tadali (re-tender)

SCHEDULE-B (Items from/ based on Standard Schedule of Rates): Item no. 1.01 to 1.19

Overhauling the existing oil skimmer equipment. The job includes: (A) Providing & fixing the following parts in place of the existing parts: (a) Oil collector tube in endless loop – 24 feet; (b) Ceramic fingers – 12 nos.; (c) Ceramic scrapers – 04 nos.; (d) Ceramic cylinders – 02 nos.; (e) Coupling set for skimmer/motor – 01 set; (B) Providing & fixing any other minor spares, such as bearings, nut-bolts, screws, etc., as per requirement; (C) Minor repairing of water pump-motor set, as per requirement; (D) Minor repairing of any other parts/ equipment, as per requirement; (E) Cleaning, oiling, greasing, etc.; (F) Testing & trial runs; and (G) Any other allied jobs. Note: (i) Materials, sizes, & other specifications of all the new parts should match the exisitng parts. (ii) The contractor has to deploy authorized technician of the manufacturer or dealer or professional technician for the work. The technician should have thorough knowledge of the equipment and the parts. (iii) The contractor also has to ensure that the technician & his helper(s) are equipped with all the safety gear/ accessories required for the job including helmets, safety shoes, face masks (if required), safety gloves, etc.

Supplying flexible PVC suction hose/ pipe, 40 mm diameter, with PVC spiral ribbed for extra strength, including fittings & fixtures for connecting it with pump.

Deploying mud pump set (including pump, motor, cables, suction pipe, delivery pipe, etc.) of at least 50 LPM discharge, for de-watering ETP pond as & when directed, including cost of fuel, transportation, etc., but excluding cost of operating staff. Cost of operating staff included in a separate item.

Day-to-day assistance to operation of Oil skimmer and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) of Central Workshop. The job includes: (A) Day-to-day operation of pumps, motors, switches, oil collection set, and valves; (B) Day-to-day collection of used oil & grease from oil & grease chambers in drums etc. (empty drums etc. to be provided by WCL); (C) Asistance in sending filled drums etc. to CWS Store, as & when they get filled (vehicle to be arranged by WCL); (D) Cleaning/ de-silting/ de-sludging of various tanks, drains, sand beds, etc., as & when required; (E) Depositing the ETP sludge into sludge drying sheds, as & when required; (F) Loading hazardous waste (oil contaminated waste & ETP sludge) into the vehicles of hazardous waste disposal agency (agency to arranged by WCL), as & when required; (G) Cleaning ETP pond, as & when required; (H) Cleaning of grass, bushes, etc. from ETP premises & its surroundings, as & when required; (I) Brooming, sweeping, etc. to keep both the premises neat & clean; and (J) Other day-to-day allied/ related jobs. Note: (i) All these jobs are to be carried out by the contractor as per instructions of the department. (ii) The contractor is required to deploy suitable, trained, & experienced workers (numbers as specified in item no. 5.01 to 5.03) for this job in general/ first shift. Providing leaves to the workers is the responsibility of the contractor and the contractor is also required to deploy suitable substitute(s) in case the worker(s) is/are on leave/ absent. (iii) Daily attendance shall be maintained at the designated place(s). Each worker is required to carry an ID card of some government authority (aadhaar card, voter's card, driver's licence, PAN card, etc.). (iv) Each worker of the contractor shall be equipped with all the safety gear/ accessories required for the job including helmets, gum-boots/ safety shoes, face masks (if required) (washable & re-usable), raincoats (depending upon season & weather), gloves (washable & re-usable), etc. They shall also be equipped with basic tools & equipment required for the jobs described above, such as phawada, tagadi/ghamela, gaiti, kulhadi, kudali, etc. All these personal safety accessories and basic working tools are to be provided by the contractor to the workers, and their shall be no separate measurement/ payment for them. (v) Other tools & consumables (such as brooms, detergent, etc.) required for cleaning job shall be supplied by the contractor (details, quantities, & costs covered in separate items). Cost of deploying mud pump for pumping out water for cleaning of ETP pond also covered in a separate item. Water & electricity required for the work shall be made available by WCL, without any cost to be charged from the contractor.

Carrying out the above jobs (as described at S. No. 5) by deploying one suitable, trained, & experienced operator (semi-skilled) per day for operation of pumps, motors, switches, oil collection set, & valves, and other allied jobs (including unskilled jobs also as described above, in remaining time). In measurement, number of days shall be calculated as total number of manshifts (as per actual attendance).

Carrying out the above jobs (as described at S. No. 5) by deploying 2 suitable, trained, & experienced cleaning workers per day. In measurement, number of days shall be calculated as total number of manshifts (as per actual attendance) divided by 2.

Occasional additional assistance to the above jobs (as described at S. No. 5) by deploying cleaning workers, such as during ETP pond cleaning, or any other occasions, as & when directed.

Supplying the following materials of quality & brand as approved by the department, and putting them at designated places as per instructions of the department. 50% of the quantities of each item to be supplied at the beginning of the work and the remaining quantities to be supplied on completion of 6 months.

Scented phenyl (floor cleaner) of superior quality

Hard broom with broom stick of 3.5 to 4 feet length, of superior quality

No dust broom of minimum 1 mtr length, of superior quality

Rubber mop with steel handle of minimum 4 feet length, of superior quality
