Material & labour in replacement of laying, jointing and testing Ductile iron water pipes 150mm bore class K-7 conforming to IS 8329, in any length including jointing with push on rubber tyton joints, as in trenches of following bore in new or old locations. (Excavation, earth work & DI specials shall be measured and paid separately. However, the rate of Rubber tyton joints shall be included in the unit rate quoted).

Note for item No.1 to 7 :- (i) Rate for making good the damaged surface such wall,concrete floor,road etc shall be deemed to be included in unit quotaed rates.

Supply and fix Cast iron/ ductile iron fittings of size upto 300 mm bore for spigot and socketed pipes e.g. Bends (any type, radius and angle). Tapers any type (Straight, end, increasing, decreasing or double socket etc). Tee pieces single branch, 'Y' junctions double branches, crosses (all sockets or socket and spigot) collars caps and plugs conforming to Is complete all as specified and directed. (Excavation, earth work, & joints shall be measured and paid separately).

Excavation in trenches in soft/loose soil not exc 1.50 mtrs wide and not exc. 1.5 mtr deep and getting out for taking out/laying DI/GI pipe lines and for laying of cable etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Returning, filling in, including spreading levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc. 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removal of excavated surplus soil to a distance not exc. 50 mtr away and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling of cross-arms of MS channel or angle sections etc. complete all as specified & directed.

Dismantling GI wire of any size complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Supply and laying of 90/76 mm outer dia/ inner dia, double walled, corrugated DWC duct pipe conforming to IS- 14930 Pt-II with antirodent and non flame propogating properties of approved colour complete with fittings for cable protection complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Earthing with Galvanised steel pipe electrode shall be of medium grade 40 mm dia and 2.5 m in length. Pipe electrode shall be cut tapered at the bottom and is provided with 12 mm dia holes (staggered) at 75 mm centre to centre upto 2 m of length from bottom. The electrode shall be buried directly in ground vertically with its top edge not less than 1.25 m below ground level connected to main earth lead 4.0 sqmm galvanised iron wire by means of bolts, nut, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No.2 of MES Schedule pt-I 2009, GI earth lead shall be protected by GI pipe 15 mm dia medium grade and connected to distribution board including excavation in any type of soil,returning filling, disposal of soil, providing alternate layer of charcoal dust and common salt upto top edge of electrode, construction of PCC pit with RCC cover, funnel, including testing on completion complete including dismantling of old UNSV earthing all as specified and as directed. Note- : (i) GI strip beyond 7.5 metre will be measured and paid sepeartely. (ii) Test report shall be prepared and submitted by the contractor in triplicate duly obtaining signatures of MES JE / AGE & user. (iii) The earth resistance should be less than 5 Ohm.
